actually one of the craziest things about harrow and gideon's relationship is the fact that they're like, unhealthily obsessed with each other but also both think the other does not care as much as they do. gideon literally died for harrow and thinks that harrow hates her so much that she erased her from her memory. harrow lobotomized herself because she couldn't allow herself to destroy gideon's soul. and they're both still just like, "she could never love me." one thing im insane abt wrt tlt is how fucking well executed it is on a technical level. the beautiful act structure, the plotting, the character arcs and development, the implementation of theme and motif. every beat is thought through and necessary. just like. goddamn. gtn especially but the series in general is a masterclass on how to write and execute a novel. god damn.

Peeta would attempt it, certainly, but a private reunion would be unlikely. Soldiers and doctors would be around and could help Katniss, which is what happened. Death is a possibility, but not guaranteed.

This reunion was meant to be a scarf with a snake underneath, an attempt to kill a lover.

And Snow expected that, stripped of the love that protected Katniss and with Peeta viewing her as a mutt, she would fire bullets back at him, lost in her hatred and her desperate need to survive. He would turn her into him.

@charlunday made my dreams come true taking on this commission for Katniss and Peeta as Orpheus and Eurydice from Hadestown, based on my Hunger Games-Hadestown AU fic, a lover's desire is mutiny.

I love this so much and am going to be staring at it forever. Charlie's dedication to the canon descriptions of these two, the details in the costuming from the show (including the mockingjay feather at the end of Katniss's braid!), the lighting, the dandelion at the center of it all. It makes my heart SO happy!

Replacing physical buttons and controls with touchscreens also means removing accessibility features. Physical buttons can be textured or have Braille and can be located by touch and don't need to be pressed with a bare finger. Touchscreens usually require precise taps and hand-eye coordination for the same task.

Many point-of-sale machines now are essentially just a smartphone with a card reader attached and the interface. The control layout can change at a moment's notice and there are no physical boundaries between buttons. With a keypad-style machine, the buttons are always in the same place and can be located by touch, especially since the middle button has a raised ridge on it.

Buttons can also be located by touch without activating them, which enables a "locate then press" style of interaction which is not possible on touchscreens, where even light touches will register as presses and the buttons must be located visually rather than by touch.

When elevator or door controls are replaced by touch screens, will existing accessibility features be preserved, or will some people no longer be able to use those controls?

one thing that pisses me off is when people supposedly love sokka but then say things that just don’t make sense. like that post that’s like “sokka was so charismatic he was charming everyone” no that was aang. aang is the one being charming and charismatic and friendly and beloved by everyone everywhere he goes. meanwhile many people straight up found sokka offputting due to his being a miserable little hater. neurotic freak. paranoid sleep-deprived and kills people without remorse. like he straight up gives off bad vibes a lot of the time. yes he does pull bitches and father figures, but that’s because cute girls and fatherly adult men are the only two demographics of people he actually makes an effort to be nice to. i’m all here for people appreciating sokka, but we need to stop acting like what his makes him great is the fact that he’s some extroverted life of the party when a) he isn’t b) aang, however, very much is and c) he’s literally so depressed that he makes it everyone else’s problem just by standing in the same room as them with his utterly miserable vibes. get it right
