So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I'll check old interviews and all the articles that vaguely mention the subject. Of course it goes without saying that I'll read though the FAQ in its entirety. Only then, will I send an ask. However, I'd be very polite and praise his work, as anyone would. I'd also keep it short, because I don't want to waste his time. But I'd keep it very very respectful. I'd be sending a message to a very talented, amazing author that deals with god knows how many like me. Or I'd just stay in the dark and not send him an ask. Yeah, I'll do that.

I personally tend to not really be interested in modern Sherlock Holmes adaptations HOWEVER I do think there's comedic potential in the Holmes Brothers having access to text messages.

Never would have happened because they were both like deeply deeply traumatised but I think the funniest thing that could have happened is if Wu Ming just panicked every time Xie Lian looked at him like proper girl with a crush, falling over bins, horny on main, word vomit I think it would have cured Xie Lian of his mental illness and given him like 8 new ones.

Since San Lang literally has dice with teleportation arrays that can take him anywhere he wants, this has to be the first time in 800 years that he's had to actually WALK from point A to point B. Supposedly ghosts are affected by too much sunlight; that doesn't seem like it would get to Hua Cheng with his power level, yet you can't deny our boy looks miserable.

I think he's most upset that this whole trek is happening because SOMEONE doesn't have enough spiritual magic to get them right where they wanna go. He might have even been fine with an extended trip if it was just him and Xie Lian, but those other two had to butt in. No wonder moments after this he's immediately picking a fight to make himself feel better.

I so dearly love how Hualian just never let anything fester. If there's a misunderstanding between them, or even an outright lie, or accidental arson and accidental injury, they always address it basically as soon as physically possible, and they're so understanding of each other's reasons and so quick to forgive. They never let resentment or doubt have any time to settle between them. They are so quick to pull up by the roots anything that might burrow down and harm their trust in one another. I just think that's really beautiful 😭
