Missed my period.
When Wakatoshi reads the text he’s half exhausted from a grueling day of training, chest heaving and sweat lining his top lip and hairline, so he doesn’t quite understand why you’re telling him this. He’s straddling a bench on the sidelines with Aran Ojiro in front of him.
Maybe he stares at the text for too long because Aran’s head suddenly appears in his line of visions.
“Are you good?”
Wakatoshi blinks. “She missed her period.”
Aran’s inhale is so sharp that he starts coughing. This draws the attention of his other teammates, and Wakatoshi drops his phone on the bench to thump his friend on the back once, twice.
"Jesus Christ, Ushijima," Aran clears his throat.
"What did he do?" Iwaizumi squints at Wakatoshi.
Aran shakes his head. "What do you mean she missed her period? Like she might be pregnant?" He asks, ignoring Iwaizumi's presence and the others closing in.
Wakatoshi freezes, at the same time Hinata and Atsumu collide with each other. "Oh," he breathes dumbly.
"Oh? Oh!?" Atsumu squawks.
"Wakatoshi-kun you might become a dad!"
Oh.
Aran gestures wildly to the phone on the bench between them. "Well? Text back! Ask if they'll take a test Wakatoshi!"
A mix of dismayed groans fill the air as Ushijima fumbles with his phone. His hands are shaking he notes. And he realizes that he might be panicking just a little. A ding goes off before he can get the phone to unlock and your name lights up the screen.
His face unlocks the phone and he catches a glimpse of an image. His heart rises into his throat when he clicks it open and finds a picture of the bathroom counter in the master bedroom. There are pregnancy tests covering every surface that he can see within the frame.
All different brands. Some have double lines, others say pregnant outright.
"Fuck," Kageyama breathes over his shoulder. "You're gonna be a dad."
Silence falls amongst them as Wakatoshi continues to stare at the picture.
And then Hinata bursts into gleeful laughter.
"Congratulations!"
It's a catalyst. Atsumu and Kageyama hug him on either side. Ushijima finds a small smile forming on his lips. He's going to be a father.
"I'm going to be a father," he says slowly.
"Hell fucking yeah!" Atsumu attempts, futilely, to pick him up and Ushijima's smile turns into a surprised laugh. Cheers ring up around the court.
The celebration is cut short by the shrill ringing of Iwaizumi's phone. He's stunned to see your name on his trainer's screen. Iwaizumi eyes him as he answers.
"No he's- he- wait a minute now- he's right here- I-" Iwaizumi seems to grow more frantic the longer he tries to calm you down.
Ushijima snatches the phone from him.
"Hello?"
You sob. A full, ugly, hiccupping, gross sob. You can't even speak to him, can't even express how you feel. The turmoil you've been in for the past fifteen minutes as you waited for his response and then got none.
"Sweetheart," he breathes, and he doesn't sound upset. You try to suck air into your lungs, to gather yourself together so you can have an actual conversation with him but God just hearing his voice soothes your nerves but also unravels them. "We're having a baby?"
You nod, and then catching yourself and suck in a huge breath. "Mhm," you manage to croak out. "Mhm, we are,” you whimper.
Ushijima is quiet for a moment. You can just make out a bit of whispering in the background and the sound of sneakers squeaking before he responds. "Are you upset? Do you-" he gulps "-do you not want to have-"
You shake your head frantically. "I thought you were mad! You left me on seen and then you didn't answer your phone and I know you had a plan and we're not marrie-"
Ushijima grunts. "I don't care about any of that. I care about you and I and what we have right now. And if that's a baby then I'm- I'm very happy, extremely happy to do whatever you want to do."
You begin to sob again, but for a different reason.
"Please don't cry, you're breaking my heart."
A startled laugh interrupts your hiccupping at his sudden admission.
"I'm too far away to comfort you and it's driving me crazy."
"I love you," you giggle wetly.
Ushijima's smile is tiny as he replies, completely ignoring the presence of a wide eyed Atsumu and smug Aran. "I love you too. I'll be home in a day or two."

"We can still be friends?"
"No."
"C/N… you’re not going to forget everything we had? I mean, we can’t just become strangers."
"When you love the way I loved you, it’s not possible. There’s no transition. Love is the only thing I can offer you. If you don’t want it anymore… Then, there’s no point."

IT TAKES TIME...LOVE THAT IS
Pair: Ushijima Wakatoshi x reader
Genre: fluff
Summary: Ushijima tries his best to show you or tell you that love isn't bad at all.  It just takes time.
A/n: Finally, I managed to post something 😭. I just wrote this after thinking of a certain topic lol. Hope you guys like it 😊
Tumblr media
How long has it been? He really doesn't know.  He doesn't know how long it has been since his thoughts have been mostly about you rather than volleyball.  Sounds cliche, right?  Though, it just sort of happened.  One day, he first meets you in his own volleyball court while you are directing your own staff in terms of the documentary you are making.  Then the next thing he knows, you two are very close to the point that you two will hang out late at night in his apartment (or yours) or in a late night coffee shop.
Ushijima has been told that you two have quite an interesting dynamic.  It's as if you two understand each other even if no one talks at all.  Perhaps, a telepathy of sort?  Though, when he was told of that, he only then realized.  He only then realized how much he seems to remember every little thing about you that he just understood you very well.  Probably, it's been around that time when he realized…damn…he's in love with you.
Though, ever since he's known these feelings of his, he stays quiet.  He doesn't want to be  compulsive.  He'll feel it out first.  He'll try to figure it out and actually understand what he wants out of it before he confesses.  (He'll be sure to confess that is for sure).
Though, one night when you randomly went to a coffee shop that closes very late, you began talking.  You began talking about love…dating.  He's not exactly sure what struck you to start the conversation.  Maybe it's because of the romantic music.  Maybe it's the dreamy and comfortable silence.  Maybe it's the couple waist by waist at a corner table.  He's not sure.  Though, he just listened.
"Have you ever thought about romance?"
"What do you mean?" Ushi asked.
"I mean you know…have you ever thought about dating someone?"  You asked.  Ushi couldn't utter a word.  He wants to say it right there and then,  but he knows he shouldn't say it yet.
"Sorry.  That was an uncomfortable question," You awkwardly smile.  You take a sip of your own drink.  Ushi turns to you and he could feel there is something you want to say regarding that topic.  Therefore, he speaks.
"How about you?  Have you thought of dating?" He asked.  His hand clenched into a fist under the table.
"Me.  Hmm, yes and a no? I don't know," You laugh a bit.  "A part of me wants it, I believe.  I want to meet someone who will be my strength and vise versa. Someone's complete existence just makes me feel at home.  And I guess I also want the story that comes with it from the momemt we meet.  Kind of like a hopeless romantic's dream,"
Those words gave Ushi hope.  He can be that person.  However, the next words may have placed a barrier between the two of you.
"Though, a part of me is kind of repelled by it," you sigh.
"Repelled?"
"Yeah.  Dating or romance tend to make men and women foolish.  I mean, that's what I've seen over the years. It's not like some giggly foolish kind of thing. They turn to some foolish…annoying…sometimes blind the moment they find these so called the one," you take a sip of your drink.
"And sometimes…their foolishness hurt other people.  It has hurt me too. I just don't get it especially if these people they found is so so red flag.  Don't get me wrong.  I've seen some couples that made me dream of such a romantic life too," You then fall silent for a moment.  You may not notice it, but Ushi's gaze never left yours.  The hope he has seems to be just a lousy string wrapped on his finger the moment he heard those words.
"I guess I'm just too scared to go into a relationship because I don't want anyone to get hurt.  I don't want to be foolish," You turn to him and notice his gaze.
"Shoot! Have I been blabbering too much? I'm sorry about that," You laughed.
"It's fine.  I asked anyway," Ushi gives a soft smile.
"...do I sound weird when I said those?" Ushi knows you've just said something more personal.  He is ought to respect that.
"No.  It's not weird to say your opinion," Ushi said. You then smile in appreciation.
"Thank you," you mumbled.  "It's getting late.  Maybe we should get going?" You asked.  Ushi simply nods. You two then leave the cafe and walk toward the condominium you two live in (you two have the same condo, coicindentaly).
It's quiet for awhile because the two of you have some deep thoughts running in your head.  For Ushi, it is for the words you just told him.  With what you said, he doesn't know what to make up for it.  He doesn't want it that you two end up in a sour note if he asks you on a date and you refuse.  He then realized there is a big chance you'll refuse him.
You…rejecting him.
Ushi's thoughts are cut off when you clear your throat.  He turns to look at you.
"Though, I must say…even if I have that kind of opinion…a part of me wants to feel the excitement in romance.  The dates.  The deep personal conversation with each other. The intimacy.  The sweet kisses," You then laugh. "Then, because of that, I couldn't even fanthom myself dating someone.  Look at me.  I haven't even kissed anyone yet.  I'm already working…some friends I have already have friends," you laugh again at this running thoughts in your head.
"Sorry.  I just find it so ironic, you know.  If anything, someone very handsome may as well just grab my arm, and pull me into a kiss. I'll accept it…so that I can check off that on my list.  I wonder how I can make someone do that,"  You smile cheekily at the thought.
You turn to him with an innocent look on your face.  Little did you know, the man in front of you is in full dilemma.  You've practically forgot to pull your reins in just blabbering what you want to say regarding about these stuff.  Well, why would you pull your reins?  It's Ushijima Wakatoshi.  Your dearest and trusted friend.  He can know everything.
"Well…you can ask?" He said.  He doesn't know what to say.  When you mentioned about the kiss and how you'll accept someone to pull you into a kiss…he might have malfunctioned.  He couldn't fanthom the idea.  What if it's some asshole who did it? He doesn't want that.
"Where's the element of surprise in that?" You chuckled.
"So, you want to be surprised?" Ushi asked.
"Probably.  It'll be nice to experience a kiss even if it's just a kiss at the end of a blind date that didn't quite work out.  Or maybe a drunken mistake.  A kiss doesn't really have to lead to a relationship, right?" The last sentence was almost like a mumble.  It's as of you don't believe those words at all.  Ushi doesn't miss that implication at all.
You already turn to climb up the staircase to your condominium lobby.  You are about to climb up when you notice Ushi stopped walking. You turn to find him a few steps away from you.
"You good?" You asked.
Ushi is looking down on the ground for a moment and he looks up at you.
"I have a question," He asked.
You raise your eyebrows in anticipation.
"Do you think I'm…handsome?"
You blink for a moment to process the words.  Ushi is going free rein on whatever he just impulsively asked and plan to do.
"Is that even a question? Why'd you suddenly ask?" You chuckled.
He takes a few steps and stops again. "Do you ever think someone would want to be with me…to go on a date?" He looks away for a moment in embarassment.
You don't reply for awhile.  Ushi's heart is pounding against his chest the more he just hears silence. Then, you spoke.
"If I were them, I'll be the luckiest person in the world,"
Ushi's heart stills then.  He looks up and finds you about to go up the stairs.  At that moment, he does the most impulsive thing ever.  He catches up to you and pulls you by the arm.  The swift movement had you not being able to process it.  The next thing you know, your lips crashes against his.  It took you by surprise that you don't know how to properly respond against the soft kiss Ushi is doing.  It takes awhile before you respond into the sweet kiss.  You can taste the hot chocolate on his lips.  For a moment, you felt like there is something more to the kiss.  An statement of feeling. A sincerity…therefore you kissed back, wanting to feel tje warmth. However  It doesn't take long before he pulls away.
"What's this kiss? Is it just to help me take it off from my list? That's quite…generous of you," you try to smile.
"It takes time…love that is," Ushi blurts out.  When he sees your confused expression, he continues on. "Sometimes, we tend to see more of what's the surface of romance and sometimes we think that is all it is.  I believe that's the reason why some people…tend to be foolish.  However for me…"
He doesn't leave his gaze at you.  He then takes your hand on his.
"...for me, I believe that love takes time.  It doesn't have to be all about just impressing each other, but rather about learning more about each other…making each other happy…making each other the better version of each other," He wraps his arms around you in an attempt to hide his face as he tries to…confess.
"I….for the past months we've known each other, you have no idea how much you've made me happy and how much you've made me a better person.  I am so thankful for that, and I want to be…that person for you too," He said.  You feel his grip tightening.
"I…wait…do you like me, Ushi?"
Ushi doesn't speak for awhile.  He doesn't let you go. "Isn't it obvious?"
"...are you sure, Ushi? Because I…I don't know if I'll ever be-"
"Why think of the ending when we haven't stepped on the beginning yet?" Ushi pulls away to look at you.  That takes you back for a moment.
A soft smile forms on your face.  "Right…you're right about that.  I keep forgetting that I shouldn't be too…overthinking of the ending.  I just…" you look at his eyes.  His adorable beautiful eyes.  You then reach for his cheek.
"I just hate for what we have to disappear.  It's really special, you know.  I really love how we hang out, you know,"
He grabs your hand from his cheek and gives it a soft kiss on the back of your hand. "It doesn't have to disappear, you know. Nothing has to change.  We'll still be like usual.  The only difference is that, we get to hold hands," he squeezes your hand for a moment.
"We get to be so closer than usual," he takes a step closer to you.
"We get to…kiss," he gives you a kiss on the cheek.  He's only a gap away from you  "alot of kisses as you want,"
You could probably drown in his eyes.  It's the expression in his eyes that made you believe in his every words.  You know.  You just know this isn't some joke the universe has on you.
"That's a nice proposition.  Since you've been honest to me, I'll be honest with you too," you take a deep breathe. "I know for myself that a part of me has always…liked you.  Liked you as more than a friend.  Though, I never really thought you'll be…interested.  For one I thought, you're married to volleyball," you chuckled.
He smiles. "Well, we don't see a ring,"
You laugh then.  He laughs as well.  It took seconds for you two to stop laughing.  Comfortable silence sinks in between the two of you.
"Will it be weird of me to say I want to kiss you again?" Ushi shyly said.
"No.  It's not weird," Ushi then thinks that his cue to lean forward, but you stop him.
"Though, before that…I want you to promise me something," Ushi looks at you expectedly.  "If slowly even just for a little bit there is something that's making you unhappy with us, we talk about it.  Never ever leave me hanging, okay?  And…and if ever…if ever we end up having to break up, let's not end it in a sour note as much as possible.  At least in this way, we'll never have a sad ending,"
Ushi nods.  "I understand.  I'll do what you say. But about the last one you said, I'll do as you say too.  However, I'll do my best never for us to break up at all,"
"I'll do so as well," you do not let a second pass before you crash your lips against his.  He doesn't hesitate to kiss back as well.
Ushi didn't expect how this night has turned.  He's glad that for a moment he acted on impulse.  If he didn't, he's not exactly sure how he'll go about being able to convince you that it's alright.  It's alright to date….to love.  Though, he knows this story with you doesn't stop here.  It's the beginning of a much happier story.  He'll make it do so.  He'll make sure to show you that this thing between you and him will not be foolish.
He'll make sure to make you believe that it takes time…love that is.

A Love to Forget?
Pair: Ushijima Wakatoshi x fm!reader
Genre: angst, suggestive, hurt/comfort
Content: Divorce, arranged marriage, very suggestive
Song: Love in Portofino  by Andrea Bocelli
Word Count: 3k
Summary: You and Ushi’s arranged marriage is reaching its end.  You two only agreed to be married for 3 years only to follow each other’s families’ wishes.  However, it seems none of you wants to bring it up at all, and bring up possible feelings.
A/N: This honestly took awhile to finish.  I managed to finish this because of the song that I find romantic and relaxing to listen to.  Do any of you listen to Andrea Bocelli?  I just have to say, I love the songs.  In fact, I’m listening to his songs now, as I write this author’s note.
Tumblr media
I give you this ring as a sign of my love. With all that I have, I am honored to call you my husband from this moment until forever.
Those were the words you said to your husband, Ushijima Wakatoshi, during your wedding day.  Those were the empty words you said to your husband.
Empty words for a wedding that has no love in it.
Though…a marriage that was bound by empty vows is finally coming to an end. However, a part of you does not want it to end.

He Does Little Things to Make Life Easier for You
You woke up feeling a bit groggy, unsure just how or when exactly you’d fallen asleep. However, once you’d gotten your bearings a bit you quietly cursed yourself for allowing to happen, glancing at your phone and wincing as you registered what time it was. You’d had a lot to get done today and now more than half the day was gone. You’d only meant to sit down for a second and rest your eyes as you waited for the dishwasher to finish, but you must’ve accidentally dozed off.

something something ushijima and reader on a trip and staying at a cute lil bed n breakfast and he casually mentions getting married out of nowhere -jupi
Tumblr media
pairing: ushijima/reader
cw: gender neutral terms for reader
info: simple fluff to kick off my tumblr renaissance .
Tumblr media
it had been a surprise, which honestly, that sheer fact alone was enough to send you into a whirlwind.
you’ve known wakatoshi ushijima for literal years, and he’s not exactly a surprising kind of guy. he likes to keep things mundane and a bit orderly, which is just fine by you, because you needed a bit of monotony to get by.
so being surprised with a getaway for a weekend was definitely not something you ever imagined from the pro-volleyball player. he didn’t take days off, but it seemed like he had for you.
he had helped you pack a bag, and made sure you were comfortable for the three hour car ride up to the bed and breakfast he chose for the two of you. hiking, that’s what his plan was. you’ve always wanted to see the mountains, and he got a workout out of it. it was a win-win.
the air was warm on your second day there. you were the only guests on the random weekend, being treated as such by the owners, who happily made your favorite breakfast foods at the crack of dawn because you and wakatoshi wanted to get out bright and early for your last hike of the weekend.
ushijima was quiet, as always, and you had been filling the void with talking about the animals that you might see on the hike that day. most likely deer, or maybe some rabbits. a fox, if you were lucky.
he caught you once you had a mouthful of food.
“i think we should get married.”
you sputtered and smacked a hand over your mouth, coughing grossly into it and reaching for your napkin after managing to swallow. “i’m- i’m sorry?”
“i think we should get married,” he repeated calmly, staring at you with his typical blank expression. “you seem surprised.”
“i-i mean, we haven’t really talked about it-“ you put your fork down, feeling the heat crawl up your neck and pour into your cheeks. “i- i’m- toshi, you wanna marry me?”
“i do,” he stated so matter-of-factly. clearly he’d been thinking about it for a while, eyes glittering with the same determination he had when he was getting ready to go out on the court. “i think it’s a good next step. we can talk about it, but i think we should.”
“is this- is this you asking to marry me? like, actually?”
“i suppose it is. i didn’t get a ring, i wanted you to pick it out.” he nodded once before looking back down at his plate to continue eating.
you sat there for a moment. that was… probably the most ushijima way of proposing to someone you could ever imagine.
it was so… him. it was perfect for him. he left you feeling confident and in control, like it was an option rather than a choice made for you already. like you could say no, if you so choose.
not that you would.
“i love you,” you smiled at him, getting to your feet to get to the other side of the small table and press your lips to his, “of course i’ll marry you.”

MUTUAL FEELINGS
Tumblr media
“what’s your type?”
atsumu perks up at osamu’s question, eager to know your response. it was no secret to anyone that he had a huge crush on you- he wasn’t exactly subtle about it.
you pretend to think for a moment; placing your fingers on your chin for effect.
“i like guys with dark hair.”
atsumu’s shoulders immediately drop and he picks at the grass, hating his bleached hair more than anything at that moment.

Lost Royals ch. 4
Tumblr media
What does it take to be in your arms? What does it take to finally deem myself worthy of someone as great as my beloved wife - the prophesied fae?
Pair : Oikawa Tooru x fm!reader
Genre: fluff, hurt/comfort
Summary: Oikawa Tooru (a fae) is set to have an arranged marriage to the high royal princess fae (reader). Though, he has no idea why the high royal princess chose him. Therefore, he does everything he can to be noticeable or acceptable or at the same level as the princess’s great achievements. The only thing is the high royal princess who is one of the three prophesied faes to defeat the dark lord is too busy with her own duties to notice her husband’s efforts.
A/n: Here ya go. Another chapter for this one. :))
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
The last time Oikawa Tooru was this nervous was when he participated in his first ever duo as a knight. He was nervous as heck when he was about to commence in a duo fight.  It’s as if all that he learned disappeared in his head.  Now, it seems like the exact same feeling except that the information that seemingly disappeared in his head is…Atsumu’s advice.
He really hoped he didn’t ask for that prince’s advice.
Let’s rewind for a little bit. A month ago there was a little bit of an issue that Tooru noticed.  It’s not exactly a problematic matter that might stop the wedding. That is not exactly it. It’s more of the fact that he hasn’t exactly seen or talked to Amara at all.  There are times where he joins a cup of tea with the two other prophesied faes in hopes of meeting with Amara.  He'll often ask for her, and her personal butler or knight would always tell him that she's out and about handling a few things.  There are even times when he's told that the royal princess doesn't want any visitors at all.
Ever since the first conversation he had with Amara, he's been quite over the hill or…clouds? He even came home to his palace, that knight all sighing and his eyes seemingly dreaming. It's quite noticeable to the general Iwaizumi Hajime.  After that night, Tooru has been always keen to meet with her, talk with her, and get to know her more.  However, they both seem to be working things well in terms of them fulfilling their own goals, but not so much with their relationship with each other.
Eventually, after a month or so, he finds himself in a fruitless goal.  He shouldn't be too bothered by it, but it wouldn't hurt to get to know each other more.  And he wants to make sure he is showing satisfactory results for Amara.  In a way, he wants Amara to be proud of him.
Now, after a little stroll in the garden and bumping into Prince Miya…that's where Tooru's became a little bit idiotic.
"Royal highness!  We meet again!" Prince Miya waves at him.  Tooru forced out a smile as he waits for Prince Miya to be a closer distance to him.
"Prince Miya, what brings you here?" He asked.
"Just visiting my general brother about…something," Prince Miya, Atsumu, gives a knowing smile.  Tooru chose to ignore it whatever that smile meant.
"So…how is it with the royal princess? Scary? Nervewrecking?...Romamtic?" Atsumu gives a cheeky smile.
"It's good," Tooru gives a short reply, but Atsumi caught on the lie.
"So it's not good at all," Atsumu chuckles.
"I-" Tooru glares at him.
"It's alright, buddy.  I…feel you.  Though, if you want, I can give you a little advice," Atsumu said.  Tooru only frowns and not convinced that it will be any good idea at all.
"Come…walk with me," Atsumu puts an arm over his shoulder and with a little push they are walking in the same direction.
"So, tell me.  What exactly is the not good part of the situation? Is she cold to you? Sassy?"
Before Tooru could even convince himself not to say anything at all, he humoured the prince.
"I rather she was cold to me because that I know that she's paying attention to me," Tooru sighs in defeat.
"Oohh…okay.  I see. I see, you got a workaholic.  That's worse,"He gives Tooru a pat on the shoulder.
"I say, my friend, you should step up your game,"
"What?" Tooru frowns at him.
"You can't simply be just waiting for her to look at you in your…simple signing of paper way.  Take it to another level," Atsumu stops on his tracks. "You should seduce, the princess,"
"...that sounded too wrong,"
"What's wrong with trying to seduce your fiance?" Atsumu smirks.
"I…I don't know.  It sounded wrong,"
"There's nothing wrong with a little flirting or seducing as long as it's not for a purpose of bad intent," Atsumu is right on that, Tooru thought.
"You just want your fiance to possibly be interested in you…then use that tactic," Atsumu smiles then suddenly his eyes widenes as if he just got a great idea.
"OH!  I know exactly what to give you for your wedding day," Atsumu gives a knowing smile.
"For now…I'll give you how to seduce 101 lesson,"
Tooru…of all things…listened to the lessons.
Now, here is Tooru…trying to remember the advices.  Atsumu said so many things, ranging innocent flirting and things…about the bedroom (which Tooru ends up just being in a state of shock as it is.  Though, it's not like it is his first time).
After the wedding and the banquet, Tooru and Amara separate ways for a moment to get ready for the night.  Tooru was the first to finish getting ready which then brings him to the room they'll both share.  Though, he's been sitting on the edge of the bed for an hour already.  He honestly feels like cozying under the blanket since he only has a robe on him (with only an underwear underneath).  He practically ate two or three pieces of chocolate from the box.  He's already did some push ups or whatever exercise there is to think of while he waits.
He's not even sure what will happen the moment Amara enters the room.  He doesn't know if they'll just sleep or something else.
The wedding night is your chance. He hears Atsumu's last words.
Tooru doesn't even know if he'll try to do the seducing plan.  The more he waits the more he just finds himself pathetic.
"You know what…I won't do it…I won't-"
A loud thud is heard from outside.  Tooru seems to wait for a moment again until he hears another thud.  Hurried footsteps are heard.  At this, Tooru is quick to grab a dagger he hid inside a drawer and walks closer to the door.
With a dagger in his hand, he slowly opens the door.  He peeks his head out to find an empty hallway.  Though, it's quiet.  Too quiet as it seems.
Tooru hears another thud and this time it is met with voices.  He follows where the sound is coming from.  His heart pounds against his chest, but his dagger is firm on his hand.  He follows the voices until eventually he sees five guards in front of a door.
Two guards each with big staff stand on both sides of the door as if creating an invisible barrier of sorts.  The three other guards are facing the door with their hands ready to wield a sword.
"What is going on here?" Tooru said in a much authoritative tone.  The guards turn to him.
"Your royal highness," one of them said.  For a moment, he forgot that he's a high royal prince.
"I said what is going on here?" Tooru asked.
"I…your royal highness, I think it is best for you to go back to your room.  For your own safety," One of the royal guards said.
"That doesn't answer my question.  If you don't tell me, I'll assume this is some suspicious get up," Tooru narrows his eyes at them.  Then, a loud thud comes from the room and a scream.
"WHAT IS GOING ON?!" Tooru shouted.
"It's her royal highness," One of the guards said.
"Is she alright?" Tooru immediately walks close to the door, but the two guards near the door stop him.
"It's not safe, your royal highness.  We'll get in trouble if we let you in," The guard with the staff said.
Tooru hears a groan coming from the room.  "Move aside," he shoots a glare at the guards by the door.
"Your royal-"
"Let him in," A man's voice appears from behind.  He turns to find General Miya -Atsumu's brother- standing a few feet away from him.
"Didn't you hear me?" General Miya, Osamu Miya, said once more.
The guards nearest to the door disables the shield amf set aside.  Tooru then hands his dagger to one of the guards before he enters the room.
The moment he stepped in he was met with a different atmosphere.  He shuts the door behind him.  The room is dark.  The only light source is the moonlight seeping from the open window.   Though, as he stands there, he feels heavy.  It's as if the air itself has gone heavy.
He hears a cough.  His attention brings to a figure in the middle of the room.  It doesn't take long before he recognizes the figure.
"Amara?" He managed to say. At that, he hears soft cries.
Amara is crouched down on the ground.  Her hands wrapped around her.  The more he looks at her, the more he sees the bracelets around hee tightening around her wrist more.  Some kind of liquid is seeping from under the bracelet.  He can see her clutching tight around her…and from the shivering and the cries, he knows that she's in pain.
Amara is in pain.
"Leave," Tooru hears Amara manage to say.
Tooru doesn't move back but rather he comes closer to her.
"Please…please leave," Amara cries out.
It's like a pang of pain in his heart as he sees you vulnerable and in pain.  Everyone else sees her as an unbeatable force that will save them…but from behind the curtains, she's suffering from whatever it is.
He has no complete solution as to how to help her ease the pain.  The only thing he can do is come closer.  He kneels and crouches down to Amara.  His arms wrap around him with his hand soothing his back.
Without Tooru's knowledge, Amara is in a fight within herself.  She barely doesn't know who she is clutching her hands on a shirt.  She just did as if the warmth of this person was all she could ever ask for.
KILL! KILL! KILL!
Those whispers in her head even become louder; however, in a second she suddenly feels something envelop her other than the arms of the person.  It's like a calming atmosphere eased her boiling blood.
Tooru is more than just a royal prince.  He had trained years to be the kind of aid to everyone else.  He's a protector.  He holds swords against enemies if needed be.  Though, he doesn't only hold a sword against an enemy.  He also has a gift.  A gift of comfort.  He takes a deep breath and he tightens his hold on her.  Slowly, a sort of blue fire covers the two of them.  His hand gives her slow pats on the back as he does his thing.
It took a minute before the pain subsided.  All she could feel is the warmth.  She doesn't move at all.  She only grips tighter to him.  The fatigue hits her whole body and slowly…she falls into slumber.
Tumblr media
The morning came.  Tooru hears rustling of sheets.  He then unconsciously moves and his arm reaching for someone else's he has been comforting the whole night.  It took a few seconds for him to realize that that someone is not in his reach anymore.
He slowly opens his eyes and finds an empty space beside him on the bed.  Right.  He did lay Amara on a bed in that room and he himself lay down as well for his wife is not letting go of him at all.  He squints his eyes against the light coming from the window.  When he looks at the edge of the bed, he sees Amara sitting down.  He immediately sits up.
"Hey,"  he said softly.  "How are you feeling?" He asked.
Amara sighs.  Her fingers fidgeting. "I'm…sorry about last night…and thank you," she spoke.
Tooru doesn't answer for a while.  Amara could hear rustling.  In a second, Tooru is sitting beside her.
"It's okay if you can't tell me…but what happened last night?" Tooru managed to ask.
"...we slept?" Amara lightly chuckled.  "I'm kidding," she softly said, giving a small smile.
Tooru glances at her.
"Faes thinks that I'm all powerful and there's not a single flaw because I can kill thousands of men in just one snap.  This kind of ability…will always come with a cause," Amara looks at her cuffs.
"There are times when I lose control of myself.  It's as if someone else is taking a hold of my will.  It'll always tell me to kill and give me the strongest urge to kill.  If it weren't for these cuffs, everyone would never be safe," Tooru looks down on her bracelet.
"Those…are cuffs?" He asked.
"Yes.  Made from the golds of the ancient mountain and engraved with magical spells.  Whenever it triggers, it holds it off…but it becomes painful.  The more I don't release those urges, the more my blood literally feels like it is boiling and everything else…becomes painful," Amara looks down on her hands once more.
"I see," Tooru only managed to reply.  He has no idea how to reply, but in a way he knows very well the concept of flaws or consequences.
"It's my turn to ask questions.  Did you do something last night?  The pain suddenly disappearing doesn't usually happen when it happens," Amara turns to Tooru.
For a moment, the morning sun hits Amara's face, giving Tooru a much different perspective of her.  It's as if there's a halo on her.  Tooru blinks before he gets too deep in her…beauty.
"Um…well, I was born with blackcourt magic.  Other than creating shields, I can remove someone from emotional or physical pain," Tooru explained.
"So…that's what you did,"
Tooru nods.  Then none of them talked for a moment.  The knock on the door cuts the two of them off.
"Come in," Amara said.
A maid then enters the room.  "I apologize for interrupting.  We would just like to ask to where we are to put the wedding gifts ," she asked.
"Oh…um, you can put it in our room,"  Amara stands up.  The maid takes a bow and leaves.
"So, um…I'll be changing into my clothes and I need to work on something,"
"Work?" The word came out faster than he could have expected.  The tone was more surprising.
Amara looks at him with a confused look.
"Oh..um…I mean, you've been working so hard these past few months and last night most likely took a toll on you.  Perhaps, you should take a day's rest?" Tooru gives a nervous smile.
"Oh…rest," Rest is not exactly always in Amara's itinerary. She's always on the go day and night even when she was living in isolation before.  Hearing it now, it felt odd for her to hear.
Tooru looks at Amara and he notices the hesitation on her face.  Remembering, the pain she was in, Tooru couldn't bare to leave her alone for the day.
"A rest wouldn't hurt, Amara.  If you want to work tomorrow without any distraction, then a good day's rest should be in order," Tooru stands up and smiles to her.
"I'm not exactly used to rest," Amara softly smiles.
"Well…you don't have to just lay down all day.  For starter, we can start opening the wedding gifts.  That's always a fun activity,"
"You've been married before?" Amara raised an eyebrow.
"What? No, of course not.  I mean…gifts.  Opening gifts are always fun," Tooru chuckles.
"...alright," Amara nods and heads out of the room.  Tooru does the same as well, but before he does he suddenly feels a gush of cold wind against his skin.  It only then occurred to him that he is only wearing a robe.
"Shoot," Tooru looks around for a cabinet and fishes for a tunic and pants.
It didn't take long before he managed to follow back to their shared room.  He enters and sees Amara sitting down on a couch and looking at the mountain of gifts.
"...they give many gifts?" Amara asked genuinely.
"Yeah.  Is there a gift you want to open first?" Tooru takes a seat across from her, trying to be accommodating as much as possible.  Amara looks among the gifts and she chooses a small box.
"I guess we can start with this.  It's from Prince Miya," Amara reads the card and he unties the ribbon.
"Oh, I see," For a moment there, Tooru feels like he is forgetting something.  Something that Atsumu may have mentioned.
"...what's this?" Amara asked.  Tooru then stands up and goes over to her to see what's inside the box.  The moment he saw the contents, he was red as a tomato.
Now, he remembered what Atsumu said.
"Just a toy!" Tooru immediately gets the box from Amara and tries to think of where to put it?
"A toy?"
"Yeah.  I mean, kind of? Well, yeah," Tooru is still red from the idea of it.  He totally forgot that Atsumu insisted on it as one of his gifts to be something to help spice it up in the bedroom.  Tooru tried telling Atsumu that he shouldn't do so, but Atsumu still did it anyway.  Out of all the things, Atsumi tried giving them-
"Well, it does look like a toy.  Handcuffs with fur.  I don't suppose prisoners use that," Amara said so innocently, but she does notice the flustered state Tooru is in.  To whatever that toy is, she'll try to casually find out later on.
"Uh…yeah," Tooru puts the box out of sight as Amara chooses another one.
Amars opens another box and it shows a couple mug.  "Two mugs…with the same design," Amara said…quite confused as to why they'll give such presents.
"Well, it's a common gift to couples," Tooru goes back to his seat across from her.
"So, they presume couples like objects that are of similar design," Tooru can't help smiling at the little frown on Amara's face.  It is no surprise to Tooru if Amara is not as well-versed with the little perks and oddities society has.
However, it is also a reminder to Tooru that his now new wife was once isolated all her life and forced to train everyday.  Tooru feels more inclined to be of help to Amara to the point that she doesn't have to feel the need to do everything.  Tooru wants her to live.  Live and experience society's little fun and oddities that make life….be life.
"Believe it or not, couples sometimes wear the same clothes.  I've seen common folks do it," Tooru said with a soft smile.  Amara looks up at him with a questionable look.
"What's…its purpose?" Amara winces.
"I don't honestly know," Tooru shrugs.
Then, Amara chuckles.  Tooru swears his heart skips a beat once more.  It's as if he'll do anything to see that smile once more.  And in that moment, Tooru could have sworn that he and Amara enjoyed the simple opening of gifts.
However, as always, every enjoyable moment ends.  In a blink, the day has passed by.  As Tooru woke up from his sleep, the space beside him was empty.  That is when he knew…
He's alone once more.

A/n: Alright, I hope I continue well with this. This is unedited lol. The moment I finished this, I posted it already.
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
I’m marrying a very powerful fae. That’s probably what has been repeating in Tooru’s mind ever since the demonstration.
A sort of nervousness is wrapping around his skin.  It’s not really nervousness because of the idea that his fiance might kill him, but rather the idea of disappointment. He is not sure what kind of expectation a powerful fae has for him.  The last thing he wants is to be a burden. Though, with what he saw in the demonstration, his impression of her changed.  He knows for sure that he is marrying a powerful fae. A fae who holds high power.  Now, he just doesn’t know how Amara would think of him exactly.
His thoughts are all around just filling up his mind to the point that he doesn’t even mind just standing in front of the closed door to the supposed waiting room where Amara is.  After the demonstration, Tooru was summoned by the king and was told to meet with Amara in the waiting room. At that, he waits to be allowed to enter the room.
After a few minutes, the door slightly opens and a servant who went inside the room with a tray of cupcakes comes out of the room. He looks at the servant with anticipation.
“Her royal princess said that she’ll need a few more minutes to discuss with his and her royal highnesses.  If you would like, I can take you to another waiting room,” the servant said.
“No, it’s alright. I can wait here,” Tooru said. “You may leave,”
The servant bows his head and takes his leave.  Tooru then looks at the both sides of the hallway. There are only a total of four guards that are standing at both ends of the hallway. He then sighs and rests his back at the wall beside the door.  Though, before he could even drown at his own thoughts, the door creaks open as if it wasn’t pulled shut.
“What was that, Amara?” Tooru hears a male voice which he assumes to be Bokuto.
“It’s not a big deal,” Tooru hears, which he presumes to be Amara.  So that's her voice. He quickly thought.
"It is a big deal.  You could have told us that it's acting up again," another woman's voice was heard.  Princess Vaughan, he thought.  Though, what possibly could they be talking about? Acting up?
"See these bracelets? I had it under control," Amara sounds more like she's trying to lighten the mood.
"Right.  Having it under control is you almost destroying the whole place and killing hundreds of people," Bokuto sternly said.
Silence sets in.  Though, some sort of mumble is heard.
"What are you talking about?" Faelyn said.
"I cannot jeopardize this time all because I can't control the bloody thing. I don't think it's a good first impression to suddenly have all the courts in the three kingdoms to witness the demonstration only to be told that one of the prophesied faes is sick," Amara groans.
Bokuto sighs. "Just…just make sure you tell us of it so that we are better prepared for it.  We've handled it numerous times before,"
"...alright," Amara said.
"Thank you," Faelyn said.
No one replies.  Though, after a few seconds of silence, Faelyn chuckles. "You know…you should save some for your fiance who is waiting by the door and…eavesdropping,"
When Tooru processed the words Faelyn said, his heart dropped.  Shit!.  They know he has been hearing the whole conversation.  Before he could think of anything, the door opened wide.  He turned and his eyes met the gaze of a curious Amara.  Her eyes were soft and at the same time surprised.
"Have you been standing there since a while ago?" Amara asked.  Tooru probably skipped a heartbeat when he realized that Amara was talking to him.  Not to mention, the moment he saw Amara at the battlefield arena…he's always thought that she's quite the beauty.  Now, that he's seeing her up close, he has no words.  Literally…no words.
"You are Oikawa Tooru, yes? My supposed fiance?" She asked.
Tooru blinks and blushes.  He gulps for a moment and nods. "It's-it's an honor to be in your presence, your royal highness,"
"Let's skip the formalities.  Come in.  You've heard the whole conversation anyway," Amara turns back in.  Tooru follows suit and is met with two pairs of eyes looking at him.
"My-my…you've chosen quite well, Amara," Faelyn giggled.  Amara chuckles and shakes her head because of Faelyn's comment.  Tooru blushes at the supposed compliment, but he doesn't forget to bow.
"It is an honor to be in your presence, your royal highnesses," Tooru said.
The three of them fall silent.  Tooru then looks up at the three of them who are looking at him as if it's odd to be greeted as such.
Bokuto then speaks. "I don't think formalities are a good cup of tea if the four of us would most likely be meeting each other frequently.  You are after all will be Amara's future husband,"
"Oh, apologies," Tooru said.  He then turns to Amara who must be studying him.  Her eyes narrowed at him.
"I can sense your ability.  It's quite…interesting," Faelyn said.
“I…uh-” What does Tooru have to say about that? Thank you?
“I hope you’re not trying to look into his future or something, Faelyn,” Bokuto glares at Faelyn. Faelyn simply gives a sweet smile.
“It’s worth checking,” Faelyn innocently smiled at Bokuto.
Check his fate? Did she see how he dies an embarassing death all because he looks stupid in front of his future wife?
“Do not worry,” Faelyn said as she noticed the worry on Tooru’s face. “I didn’t go as far as seeing how your death would be, but it seems to be in a faraway future which is good.  You and Amara would be quite an interesting pair,” she giggles.
Tooru could feel his cheeks heating.  He has no idea what the princess is exactly implying.
“I would like to talk to my fiance alone if you guys don’t mind,” Amara finally cuts off.  Her voice stern and far from the usual friendliness.  Bokuto and Faelyn stood from their own seats and head toward the door. Bokuto takes a light bow as he passes by Tooru which Tooru does the same. Faelyn on the other hand gives her a wink and mumbles a ‘don’t worry’ to him. It might or might not have helped him calm down.
The moment the door closes as the two other royal faes leave, that is the time Amara takes a seat on the couch. “Do take a seat,” Amara gestures to the couch across from her.  Tooru didn't hesitate and sat down.  Amara had a quick observation and noticed that Tooru had been clenching his fists tight.
“Do I make you nervous?” Amara blurts out. She had to ask that.  She’s honestly done with the idea of everyone else fearing her to the point that they would rather be dead than to be in the same room as her. It’s so ironic. Instead of smiling at her presence because of the fact that she’ll be their protector against the dark lord, she’s feared by the people like a monster.  To think that maybe the fae prince she chose to marry thinks of the same way, she doesn’t know what to do.
“No!” Tooru suddenly said.  Amara only frowns.
“No. Um…I mean not in the way you might think,” Tooru gulps. Amara sighs at his little subconscious actions.  Though, Tooru knows that Amara is not believing him in any way.
“What do you think I am implying on that question?” Amara puts a leg over the other.
“...I…well-” Tooru looks up at Amara and finally takes a deep breath. “Well, if I would be honest…I’ve heard rumors about you and some of them lead to an impression that you are a ruthless scary fae.  I’m sure you’ve heard of it…or seen it in their faces when you see them, so I assume that you are asking me whether I’m nervous of the fact that you might hurt me,”
Amara doesn’t reply immediately. She takes a cupcake and gets a pinch to pop in her mouth.  Tooru takes this opportunity to try to regain a good impression.
“If I may say, your royal highness, I would be lying if I say that a small part of me is not worried that I might become a victim of what you can do, but that doesn’t stop me from blinding my own good judgements,” Tooru takes a pause before he continues. “The moment I saw you at the demonstration, I immediately thought that I might be married to a powerful fae. Powerful, not in a sense that you are a monster or anything, but rather a powerful fae who I know would put us out of danger,”
“Then, you are nervous being here in front of me,” Amara said.
“I’m nervous because I’m worried that I might not reach the expectation you have of me as your future husband or rather…I might not reach my expectation to be your other half…and your support,” Tooru then falls silent.
Amara also doesn’t reply for a moment. Her eyes are down on the cupcake on her hand.  For a moment, Tooru thinks that he’s messed up real bad, but then he hears a light chuckle from Amara. His heart stopped. As he looks up at Amara, she has a small smile on her lips.
“That’s the first time I’ve ever heard someone really think of me as the prophesied fae,” Tooru notices Amara’s genuine smile as if she did appreciate that idea.  He may not be experiencing the burden she has, but he understood it very well. The whole faeland has their eyes on her. The burden is different and to think that rumors can change the way people act, it must be much more difficult for her.
“Do you want to get some fresh air?” Amara stands up and heads toward the balcony. Tooru follows suit without answering.
The night has fallen above them.  The view is of a spectacular garden with small pixies lighting up the place. Flowers bloom and glow as it is.  Amara leans back on the railing while Tooru stands just a gap from her with his hand on the railing.  A comfortable silence comforts the two of them.
“Want some wine?” Amara snaps her fingers and two goblets of wine float in front of them. Tooru takes his own goblet.
“Thank you,” Tooru mumbles. He waits for Amara to take a sip before he does as well.
“I apologize if I was a bit…rude awhile ago,” Amara spoke.
“Oh, you weren’t rude at all. I get where you are coming from,” Tooru replied. Amara takes a glance at him. Tooru is looking at the view.
“What do you think of this supposed marriage?” Amara asked.
Tooru turns to her and tries to read her expression. “Are you asking me if I want it?”
Amara nods.
“I think it’ll be ridiculous of me to think that this marriage is for love. I know what it is for; therefore, I’ll make sure that I complete my duties and be of help to you rather than be a burden,” Tooru takes a sip of his wine trying not to wince from the taste of strong alcohol on her tongue.  Here’s the thing. He drinks alcohol, but not the ones with almost pretty much seventy percent alcohol in it.
As for Amara, a sense of guilt gets to her.  She’s heard quite clearly that Tooru is serious about this whole marriage; however, that is more so she finds herself in a difficult position.  She knows very well the only reason she had agreed to this marriage. It was only for her own personal gain in exchange for agreeing to this marriage. Seeing her fiance to be someone who would take his role seriously, she feels like she’s just using her. She’s taking advantage of a better freedom he could have had.
She grips on her own cup.
“I might be all words now, but I hope you can take my word for it,” Tooru turns to her. Amara looks at Tooru’s determination. The guilt even swallows her more which then makes her turn away. She doesn’t try to show it.  Though, she knows for herself that she cannot just leave herself in some sort of doubt or guilt. If she is to take Tooru’s freedom by marrying her, she’ll make sure that this man beside her will never feel suffocated or the feeling of being restricted just like the way she is living in. She’ll make sure Tooru doesn’t suffer any consequences of being binded to someone like her.  Tooru will just live the way he does.  She’ll make sure of that.
“I actually have a present for you, your royal-”
“Amara…just call me Amara,” She cuts off as she turns to look at him. Tooru is pulling out something from his inner pockets.
“Oh, okay. Amara, this is for you,” Tooru pulls out a small box and opens it in front of her. Amara sees a bracelet with a gem that is of similar golden color as her eyes when her abilities are at full force.  She doesn’t know if it's a coincidence or not.
“Thank you. You didn’t have to,” Amara takes the bracelet and holds it in her palm.  Tooru puts down his cup on the flat surface of the railing.
“Do you mind if I-?” Tooru takes the bracelet and is about to put it on Amara’s wrist, but he notices the flat bracelets tight around her wrist.
“You can put it over the bracelet,” Amara said.
See these bracelets? I had it under control.  He remembers the conversation a while ago, and Amara notices the change in his expression.  She immediately takes the bracelet from him and hides her bracelet (or rather cuffs) from his sight.
“The conversation a while ago…I-”
“Consider it erased from my memories.  You don’t need to worry,” Tooru cuts her off.
“Thank you,” Amara slips a small smile from her lips.
Before silence hits in, they hear the door creak open.  Both of them look at the open door to see a fae lady with silver hair and silk dress stand in front of them.
“I see that you two have been acquainted,”
“Lady Esmeray,” Amara sighs and frowns.  Hearing the name, Tooru knows the woman is the royal witch of the Domnhall Kingdom.  She’ll be in charge of the so-called “test”.  Tooru immediately straightens his back.
“Don’t worry, your royal highness. I won’t do some sort of rituals or whatnot.  I’m simply here to see in my own eyes…” she looks back and forth to Tooru and Amara. “...that you two are a perfect pair,” she smiles and immediately leaves.
“...so no test?” Tooru asked. Amara glanced at him, trying to figure out what it is about Tooru that made Faelyn and Lady Esmeray herself agree easily to him.
“A test?” Amara asked.
“Oh..um…yes.  I was informed that there would be some sort of test,” Tooru replied.
“Don’t mind it.  There will be no test, because I get to say the final word,” Amara takes a step and stands in front of him.  Tooru looks at her with anticipation.
“I get to say the final word.  You will be my husband,” Amara said in determination in her voice. To whatever the two women have approved of him, Amara will continue as planned.  She’ll make sure that he will never regret being married to her and also be in safe hands.  As for Tooru, the moment he heard those words, the determination and will in him grew stronger.
They both know that it will be a loveless marriage, but it doesn’t stop the both of them from having a duty to each other and to their roles to the kingdom.  They are both growing fire that would set ablaze the passion in their hearts. Though, it is far from romance and more of a duty.
Then…two months have passed…the wedding has commenced.
They’ve done what they seek to do as the royal princess and prince.  They both have worked separately depending on their ways to fulfill their duties to the point that they forgot that there will be times that they have to face something that is done by husband and wife.  They…or rather Oikawa Tooru blinks from his own world when he realizes something that he has no idea how to go about. And that is the…
Wedding night.

Therefore, he does everything he can to be noticeable or acceptable or at the same level as the princess’s great achievements. “Prince Oikawa!” Tooru hears a familiar voice among the ground in the grand ball where nobles are waiting to enter the great dome for the demonstration.
As this is a special and formal event hosted by the three kingdoms, the demonstration is being held in the Ancient Mountain.  A palace of sorts placed inside a big mountain.  It was then used as a place for battle tournaments between kingdoms.  It was probably only now when it was used as a place of demonstration.
Tooru turns to the voice to find a fae with blonde hair and fine black and gold formal military uniform.
“Prince Miya,” Tooru puts on a polite smile.
“It’s been awhile since we met,” Atsumu Moya gives Tooru a light pat on the arm.
“I believe two months is not that long,” Tooru chuckles.
Yes.  Two months.  The last time they met was when they were called by the king to finally  give their offering according to the said task.
“Don’t be such a killjoy, Prince Oikawa. So, how’s the feeling of being engaged to the mysterious high royal princess?” Atsumu doesn’t look like he’s at a bitter ending with Tooru after finding out who won the task.  It’s a pity to lose, but he sure does know that being a high royal prince will sure be quite a pain in the ass.
“Delighted, of course,” Tooru said.
Atsumu laughs. “You lucky guy being chosen by the princess herself,”
“The princess?” For the whole time, Tooru assumed that it was the king who chose.  Afterall, that is always the case with these kinds of marriages.
“Yeah.  I heard rumors that it was the princess who set up the whole thing and she gets the final word as to who she wishes to choose. So I guess you caught her attention,” Atsumu explained.
With that, it even just made Tooru more nervous.  He believes there’s not much to see through what he just offered to them according to task.  He can’t help but think that the princess might end up more disappointed if he did not reach her expectations.  He also does not know what kind of expectations the princess has?  Does she want a person who will not mind her business? Someone who is romantic?
“I see,” Tooru only managed to answer after all those thoughts.
Atsumu notices the little nervousness. “You’ll be fine, Prince Oikawa.  Whatever you are thinking, everything will be much better once we meet them.  The three prophesied faes,”
Hopefully…everything will be better.
Every fae has expectations of what they’ll see.  Finally, the doors open to the dome for demonstration.  Everyone awaits to finally see what they’ve been waiting for twenty years.
Let the demonstration begin.
