i'll go first my parents almost named me felicity. which would've been so cool but i definitely would've been like 5x crazier if i was named that

#yes and it’s the biggest disappointment of my life that they didn’t name me that #saskia is such a beautiful name with art connotations (wife of rembrandt) but my parents were worried i’d get bullied for it #and instead named me the most average basic (in my country) ugly name there is.. rip #also they rly wanted to name me idun which is a super cool name after an old norse goddess #but their friends had a baby before them and named her that so they couldn’t just copy them #funny thing is that that girl later changed her name to a more generic one when she grew up #so what i’m saying is that we should’ve swapped names. lol #OH and another thing that absolutely sends me whenever i’m reminded of it is that further down on the list was the name ‘månstråle’ #which is insane it means ‘moon beam’ like wtf. hippie new age ass name #it doesn’t even sound like a name. can’t imagine ever calling someone that #but apparently it was a thing in the 90s lmao.

It's never felt more like a 'Fuck western lefties' time for Iranians than now! My people are struggling socially and economically under the rule of a fascist dictator terrorist regime, getting beaten, murdered and silenced by a corrupt government, that is vastly unpopular, day in day out. Now we're at the brink of a costly war on top of everything. And western left wingers are CHEERING ON THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC! Twitter and Instagram are full of dumb westerners acting like the IR is some kind of hero here. Fuckin hell. Two terrorist regimes are going at each other, the result is going to be more misery and civilian deaths. More destruction and casualties. There's nothing to cheer for here.

I can just hope this won't escalate into another humanitarian crisis. God knows the world doesn't need more war and loss of innocent lives right now.
