"Missed this," Lena breathes, so quiet Kara almost doesn't hear it. Her arms are trembling with exertion where they're braced on either side of Kara's head, fingers gripping the soft grass underneath them. She presses in to catch Kara's mouth again, and Kara gets her tongue in alongside Lena's and doesn't dare give herself time to chase the thought that maybe this is fleeting.

She loves being here with Lena, surrounded by the trees and the magic, and the flowers, and the feeling that she's connected to something - to everything - like she's a piece of this world, living and breathing in sync with it, and she matters to everything around her.

The forest would feel it if she left.
