Hello, I'm not dead, the book is not dead, I'm just busy with life and currently I'm spending time abroad. There wasn't enough visible progress in the book yet, so that's why I wasn't updating :D I'm still working on it, so as soon as I'm satisfied with the amount of new content, I will be posting it. Hey beloved author! I just barely stumbled onto your demo, and I have to say I love f!Quinn.

I wanted to ask you because I noticed it, but it seemed to mention that she was a prostitute. I saw on one of your ask responses that she’s more of an escort. I found that to be an interesting background because it can be raw and real. People sometimes do things like that to survive. I fully trust you in showing the ramifications of that career path for the story, and relationship.

Well I wanted to ask if, in the future of the book, things like rape or sexual assault will ever be used? Or if it will be put into someone like Quinn’s background? I’ve seen authors use those subjects to try to influence characters backgrounds or add “edginess” to a character, especially female characters, and it’s always incredibly uncomfortable and almost triggering to read.

If it will be, and it’s not too much of a spoiler, could you tell me? I loved your demo and would just like to be prepared if something like that is in there, or if you think this might not be the story for me, I understand that too.

Thank you for the ask, I’m happy you enjoy the story and Quinn’s character! :D

Quinn’s backstory is pretty complex and it wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Quinn will talk about this with your MC later. No assault will ever happen on-screen but it will be mentioned in a non-explicit, non-detailed way in character conversations. All of these trigger-warnings are there in the beginning of the book and I will update them as the story goes on and more need to be added. When that happens, I will definitely mention it in the post of the update too :)

Atin, hearing this, slightly blushing and turning away so that MC won’t see it: “What’s so interesting about me? I’m nothing special. I’m just... you know, just a person.”

MC: “Everybody is just a person. You are cool.”

Atin, now grimacing and grinning at the same time: “I keep hearing that but what’s so cool about me? I’m just a guy/girl from a farm, not an Olympic champion or something. I don’t even know how to do my own taxes.”

MC, rolling their eyes: “Nobody knows how to do their taxes.”

Quinn: “I do. It’s not that hard. Everything is written on their webpage, I can show you if you want.”

MC, now staring at Atin: “Wait, who does your taxes then?”

Atin: “My mom.”

Roga, whispering to Quinn in the background: “You are supposed to do your own taxes?”

Quinn, lifting an eyebrow: “Yes. I’ve been doing yours for years. Thanks for noticing.”

I read through like all of your asks and what I learned is-

Roga: herbal tea.

Atin: it’s a flat tire, Roga, you can’t fix everything with herbal-

Roga: [aggressively] herbal tea!

Pretty much, yes 😂 In Roga’s defence, that’s what their mother did when they were young and Roga inherited a lot of her herbs that are used in elven healing. Roga is still using those same plants to this day :D

hello, it's been a while since i've sent an ask! here's what i wanna know: how would the love interests react when the reader is bottling things up a lot? maybe one day they are caught crying but just doesn't want to talk about they're going through?

i hope you're doing well! lots of hugs and kisses from me to you 💞💞💞

Atin would completely understand it but they would still encourage MC to try and talk about it. It doesn’t have to be in detail, it can just be a mention of the problem, but they would insist to not try to battle it alone. Atin knows all too well what that can lead to. 

Roga would sit down with MC and tell them fair and square to stop doing that. They would say that mental health is no different from physical health: when you have a small cut, you can tend to it yourself. But when you are in a cardiac arrest, you are going to need help from a professional.

Quinn probably wouldn’t really know what to say at first. They would be there and support MC until they finish crying, tell them that it’s okay to let it loose sometimes and there is no shame in being weak from time to time. They would also gently try to persuade the MC to tell them what’s wrong because they only want to help.

Do the cast have any personal philosophies and moral codes they follow? Do they consider themselves to be currently happy?

That’s a very interesting question 🤔 By cast, I guess you meant the other characters as well (those that have been introduced at least) so here you go:

Atin has a strong sense of justice that comes from their parents. They want to help those in need and think that everyone deserves equal chances in life but what you do with those opportunities is up to you. Atin would say that finding your happiness is sometimes a long road and they are walking it but haven’t reached the end yet.

Roga has an interesting view on justice and they think that not everyone deserves the same punishment for the same crimes. They also think that sometimes you have to push people in the right direction even if they don’t want it (Roga and Atin will butt heads over this in the future). Roga is relatively happy but they can get frustrated over things out of their control.

Quinn doesn’t care much for the greater good but they think that everyone deserves a chance for happiness as long as it doesn’t hurt others (regardless of the rules or laws). Quinn would say they are happy but that would be a bit of a lie. In any case, they are at least happier than they used to be.

Jakeman appreciates rules and laws but she has no problem bending them when she feels like it’s necessary, especially if it’s for someone she cares about. She is happy in her private life, not so much in the office.

Osborne’s philosophy is that only the strong will survive and I think that says enough about him :D If you ask him if he is happy, he would tell you to go mind your own business, you hippie.

Vega is very old compared to the others and he can’t see the people anymore, only the big picture. For him, the individual doesn’t matter and he doesn’t care if a few have to suffer to reach a bigger goal. He also doesn’t care about happiness anymore. He doesn’t feel much in general apart from boredom.

David Olson is a man of the law. He thinks that rules are there for a reason even if it doesn’t benefit every single individual because this is the only way to achieve peace and harmony. He goes out of his way to help people in need but only those that he thinks deserve it. He is happy both in his personal and professional life.

How would the ROs react to accidentally hurting MC? Like, "we're wrestling for fun and, oh, no!, my elbow connected to your nose".

Atin would go “OH SHIT!!!!” and then fuss over MC for maybe two hours straight, constantly apologizing and bringing them anything to make them feel better. Atin is all fun and games until it’s just normal training but they would never hurt MC for real.

Roga would be scared for a moment but then their professional side will come out and they would examine MC to make sure the injury is not too bad. It probably isn’t, but Roga will fuss over it anyway for a while :D

Quinn will probably be more scared than the MC and I think it will have to be the MC calming Quinn down and tell them it’s not too bad because Quinn will totally freak out and probably even hit poor MC again by accident when they try to help them.

The Atin and Quinn route is not really a route exactly, more like an extra branch of the story that you can unlock under special circumstances. One of those circumstances is that you haven’t flirted with any of them :) Thanks for the ask 😘
