Would Veigar consider himself a Noxian?

“Noxus wishes they could claim as powerful a mage as myself among their ranks. No, Boleham and some surrounding territories are mine to rule. We merely enjoy a valuable trading deal with Noxus and refuse to barter with the magic-hating scum to our north.”

//in all likelihood Veigar could easily be assumed to be Noxian. Maps almost assuredly claim his territories as such and any owed taxes/supplies/tithes are taken out of his profits before he is aware of them due to Leblanc not wanting to deal with her old colleague’s temper. Veigar thinks himself independent, but either has no choice or unknowingly is compliant with enough of the empires policies to not be considered as anything more than a slightly troublesome territory of Noxus.

It helps that he will not trade with Demacia, takes demacian refugees in with extreme scrutiny/paranoia, and is slowly claiming more and more land through his immense arcane skill. He’s effectively a slowly expanding wall that is pushing north and almost exclusively benefiting Noxus’ agenda.

All I’m saying is if he fills you with a warm feeling inside, it may not be compassion or affection. He’s got that spicy anger, the kind that lingers. A toxic personality. He can heat himself out of spite and rage.

//what if veigar hates hextech because he can’t manipulate the finer points of it? Like yeah he can use magic to make a machine go, and even create magical machines, but only for grand engines that require a lot of power.

An example is Veigar needing to put a few mL of magic into a device, but he shows up with a damn bucket instead of an eye dropper

So he couldn’t say make a hextech watch that never needs winding, but he could for a clocktower. He can’t use a use something that requires a crystal for power, but he can just flood it with his own to power that same device.
