You must have purpose to your time. Every moment has a different purpose, and fruit.
Just a couple of some of the most beneficial things you can do with your time are: - Khidmah - Study Islam - Read the Quran - Do Dhikr - Reflect on Allah SWT’s majesty and His creation.

There is something so strange about celebrity culture. It’s an entire glamour, music, colours, lights, everything designed to entice the senses, but when you just strip it all back there’s this sickly scent of fake flowers and unbearable los angeles heat.
It’s weird how it’s what everyone aspires towards, yet the celebrities seem the most chained.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
A person should take the means and have trust in Allah SWT. Take all the means you can, so long as they are permissible. Dua is amongst the means. Do not abandon the means whilst you have them, for that is bad manners with your lord. Have lofty aspirations to draw closer to your Lord by every breath. Keep pushing yourself as much as you are able to, to focus on your Lord and gain closeness to Him.

Bismillah Ar-Rahman, Al-Raheem
When day shifts into night, and the light of the sun, is filtered through the moon, we find that this is a time where all that we have done during the day can be reflected. The world is on a precipice, wherein goodness and pain are both within reach, where time has come full circle, and hope is on the horizon. Despair is not an option. But prayers are our preference, for prayer is the inner essence, the inner kernel of faith, and prayer with praises on the Prophet, with sincerity, and brokenness, they are like arrows that are certain and true. Bosnia, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Kashmir... Our brothers and sisters suffer, whilst we forget how to think, because pain becomes numbness, and hearts become hardened, so humour is your currency, to pay for your ticket out of this world. We spend so much time scrolling, but how often do we reflect-- the world, and it’s oceans, seen and unseen. the world, and it’s trees, bent at it’s knees. the world and it’s breezes, of divine mercy. The way the bird buried it’s brethren, the way the saviour comes and unites. What role do we play in this? How many will come to our graves? How many smiles did we bring? How many lives did we save?
With your name on your certificate, have you made any difference? May Allah grant all of us, and our families, His divine guidance, through which we see reality as it truly is, through which we re-affirm our purpose, through which we learn to reflect on our role in this universe, and through which we may be guided aright to the path most best for us. May Allah ennoble our faces, dignify our being, and grant honour to us, in this world and the next. May Allah forgive us of our sins, minor and major. May Allah grant us ma’rifa of Him, and may He grant us taqwa, tawakkul and yaqin. May Allah protect us from arrogance and pride and ostentation. May Allah teach us how to defend ourselves. May Allah grant us his protection from all oppressors, be they far or near. May Allah guide us all to the path which draws us closer to Him and His beloved Messenger, may every beautiful light be for him. Ameen.

You know why im so pissed off about the silence when it comes to the Bosnian War and the Srebrenica Genocide in particular? Because this was the most recent genocide commited by Europeans yet no one talks about it? It’s not taught in schools (uk) it’s hardly a topic anyone cares about, it was systematically islamophobic, for those who don’t know it was a genocide targeting Muslim men and boys specifically, 8373 murdered from 11 July 1995 - 22 July 1995 to be precise. Muslim women were raped, Muslims were put in concentration camps yet this is the forgotten war and genocide? How? How can Europe just forget about this? I’m so disgusted. 21 years. 21 years of families suffering and mourning because their father, brother, uncle, grandad was killed for his faith. Fuck anyone who doesn’t care about Bosnia.

a nation of genocide deniers (its the 25th anniversary today and serbia still won't admit what their army did was genocide despite it being ruled so in haag) and a world that doesnt care to learn what happened. most of the culprits walk free, and some of the worst ones were aided by the republic of serbia in their hiding from authorities after the war has ended, despite them being responsible for ordering killings of thousands of unarmed & innocent civilians and rape and torture of tens of thousands of women, solely because they were bosniak muslims.
learn about it. about srebrenica, about prijedor, about the aggression on bosnia of 1992-1995. read victims' accounts, of babies being killed in their mothers' arms for 'crying too loud', of women throwing themselves off of balconies of now infamous motels they were held captive in because in their eyes death was better than being raped by serbian soldiers, of men that miraculously survived being shot at from the back while standing in line with other men as innocent as they are, and had to hide beneath corpses of the others until it was safe enough to run for their lives, from certain torture and death that awaited with being captives of serbian soldiers.
this was 25 years ago exactly, in europe, but they were muslim so you didnt learn about it in school. now, you can learn, for yourself, about these atrocities. about how insidious and purely evil and hateful the whole ordeal was. about how unsettling it is that theyre denying it still. about how they treat it as a joke, as an unfinished job, and say it out loud.
learn about it and make it known. srebrenica, prijedor, and the victims of the bosnian war must never be forgotten.

Bismillah, Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem;
Do not delay the good deed for it may be that death is on its way; procrastination may come from a place of fear of imperfection, but remember we are not perfect-- take the first step towards goodness, with ihsan, and let your reliance be on Allah SWT. Another place that procrastination may come from is conflicting beliefs, ideas or desires-- i.e. so you end up doing none of them-- one way to deal with this when you are aware that there are competing desires is to look at them for what the desires are e.g. if it’s salah versus playing a game then you might reprimand your nafs “this game may remain here in the next hour, but I may not-- perhaps by evening I shall have died, or I may end up missing the time for the salah; and how embarrassing would it be to have to admit that you missed a salah, so full of goodness, and peace and rejuvenation just because you chose a game over being before your Lord.”
And Allah SWT knows best, All mistakes, pretention and ignorance in this is from me, and any guidance you may find in it is only due to Allah and not at all because of me in any way, shape or form.
Please keep me in your duas, wherever you may be on this strange planet.
Wa-Salaam.

Bismillah, Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem
Assalamualaykum Y’all,
I just wanted to mention that sometimes hindrances come in front of our sins, i.e. something will block you from doing a sin-- and when this happens it’s up to us to realise it for what it is-- an insanely amazing mercy and blessing.
When you realise what it is, there may still be your nafs driving you forward, as you have been nudged on by the whisper-- you need to wait for a moment, take this opportunity to further yourself from the sin, and take a deep breath. At this very moment you should accept that you are in a vulnerable position, and ask Allah for help to overcome your desires.
Now, resisting your nafs is hard when you’ve been feeding it, or neglecting your heart. You need to nourish your soul with dhikr, Quran, etc to strengthen your spirit, and to give you the clarity you need.
I’m saying all this because it’s something I really struggle with too, and I would like your Dua’s please--
Ya Allah, Ya Raheem, Ya Ghafur,
Please help me to understand the signs you send, and help me to recognise them for what they are, and help me to overcome my desires and heed your warnings, and please help me to submit to You and You alone.
Ameen.

Bismillah, Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem.
Salaam all,
it’s been a while, and I thought I’d give you guys a little update.
I’m in a weird place right now, I have too much free time, and I’m struggling to fill it up wisely. I’m wasting a lot of time. I could be doing so much more, so many more beneficial things, like reading more, or writing more-- reading the quran, learning more about Islam, and I’m really struggling.
This free time comes with the pressure of finding a job, and that in and of itself is troublesome as is, as most people are aware.
It’s also difficult because it’s making me feel lost, like I don’t know what my purpose is anymore.
Before, it was me just trying to get through the year, finishing off projects etc. But now there’s nothing.
And I’ve just now come to the realisation that it’s like the beginning of corona all over again-- it’s a call. I think this must be Allah’s way of saying turn back to Him.
If any of you are in the same boat as me, then may you find solace by turning back to Allah swt. And may you all have blessings in your time, and may you all find it easy to manage your time and use it well. Ameen.

Asslamu-Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatu,
Bismillah, Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem:
By writing this, I intend to embed this lesson within my mind, so that I may benefit from what I have learned as well as giving way for others to benefit too:
So, as Muslims, we are supposed to do things with Ihsan; that means a striving for excellence as well as doing things in a way befitting that we are being seen by Our Lord, Allah (S.W.T).
Now, Ihsan, and taking action and trying doesn’t mean breaking your back and destroying yourself-- our bodies have rights over us too.
It doesn’t mean working yourself to the bone, or over exerting yourself.
And every-time I heard things like this, I breathed a sigh of relief, and began to take it easy; but then I started to take things too easy.
There is a balance and sometimes it’s easy to drift either way, but the main thing is that you be aware of yourself and when you are pushing yourself too hard, and aware of yourself when you are being aimless and heedless.
Aimlessness and heedlessness are the enemy to clarity and discipline.
So every-time you find yourself in an empty space of time, where you are doing nothing-- ask yourself: am I resting? or am I wasting away? Rest is important, but so is keeping in mind your purposes and obligations.
Keep your mind focused on Allah, keep your tongue moist with dhikr, and ask Allah to purify your thoughts, actions and intentions so that you may be the best Muslim you can be. Live actively and intentionally.
Wa-Salaam.

Bismillah, Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem.
This is just a quick reminder that your feelings are valid, however, worrying about things that are not in your control is not going to help you.
Yes it’s so terrifying to know how everything could just switch up in seconds-- but here’s the thing: your du’a can do the same; Allah (swt) has given us Du’a, and with it destiny itself can be reshaped. Trust Allah (swt), have faith. Know that He wants what is best for us, and intends for us ease, so be pleased with what comes to you for undoubtedly there is khayr in it, and if it is other than that which is good, be patient.
Patience + Prayer
Belief + Good Action
I believe that if I pray to God, and ask Him to help me, He will help me. Because belief is half the journey. And although belief is also a feeling, it is also a choice, so believe and be strong. Its scary, this world is strange, but take it day by day, breath by breath.
You got this.

Bismillah, Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem
Salaam all,
As always before I begin, my intention is to bring goodness, khayr and light into this space. I seek Allah’s (swt) protection from spreading misinformation or that which will harm others. I ask that Allah (swt) please help me to bring about benefit and prevent harm. Ameen.
Okay so, I’ve been thinking about how we, as Muslims, make decisions. It’s interesting to realise that we actually have methods for this-- for example, the main one that most people know of: Istikhara.
This https://seekersguidance.org/answers/hanafi-fiqh/istikhara-the-prayer-of-seeking-guidance/ explains it in a beautiful way.
And in addition to this, we also have the concept of Mashura, consultation-- seeking advice (from pious trusted people).
Listen to your heart as well, do istighfaar to keep it purified, and do salawaat to nourish it. Learn to be able to think with your heart as well as your head.
Wa’Salaam

Bismillah, Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem;
Assalamualaykum all,
I haven’t posted on here in a while, and that’s because I’ve been through a bit of a spiritual slump; it may be a point of growth, insha’Allah, but wow is it tough.
I think one thing I’ve learnt is that I really need to keep holding onto Allah (swt), onto hope and to make sure I don’t give into despair; and boy is it really hard.
But some things that makes it easier are:
Qadr is from Allah (swt) + Allah trials those whom He loves; in order to help us grow + Istighfaar/Salawaat + Allah wants what is best for us, and He is not out to get us, He is Al- Wudud, Al- Rahman, Al- Lateef, Al- Raheem, Al- Mujeeb.
And also, just taking it a day at a time, letting everyday be a refresh, and taking breaks and rest for rejuvenation, and giving yourself time to express your emotions.
Just know that with every difficulty you are experiencing, there are many, many eases-- we just have to open our eyes and hearts and see.
May Allah grant Aafiyah, and Shifa to all those believing males and females suffering from any illness, whether it is physical, psychological or spiritual.
Ameen.
