did anyone else get intense chills down their spine when sam said “i can’t be in both places at the same time” - exact same wording, with the same emotional inflection as he did as veth in the plane of fire?

both instances are sam’s characters having to choose between staying with their blood family and their chosen family, their old life and their new life. both instances have the characters realizing that continuing with their new life means that they could help save the world. 

so both of them deliver this line softly, because they’re partially talking to themselves, realizing something that they already knew. veth’s is this heart-wrenching realization that she can’t be there to protect both families (”if i try to keep one family safe, i’m endangering the other”). loquatius’ is a realization that he would sacrifice his own life to be by laerryn’s side as the world ends (”i’m sorry, my lady. i love you, but i love another more”).

and in the end, both of them choose to face the danger - veth hopeful that she can return to her family, and loquatius knowing he will never be able to go back again.

exu calamity is perfect. it’s basically everything i love about dimension 20 (pacing, humour, brennan in general), but also 5 hours, uncut and with a full view of the cast. plus - incredible cast & characters. i cannot wait for brennan and lou to break my heart with their roleplaying à la kingston & liz, amethar & caramelinda, fabian & his dad........

i want to make veth fanart so bad but guess what? it’s finals week. it’s 2 AM on a saturday. my next exam is in a couple hours. i just ate an entire bag of cheezits in half a minute. i had a nice box of chocolates and i accidentally threw the entire box upside down on the ground so guess what? i sat on the ground reassembling the box, eating ground chocolate as it melted in my hands.

hello anon im sorry! i think this was from months ago but i forgot the concept of an ask box. anyways it seems to me that fjeth is like enemies to lovers 100k and widobrave is like best friends to lovers 100k, and it really depends on which trope you like better!
