What not to wear on a Green Screen shoot
What Not to Wear on a Green Screen Shoot:
DO NOT WEAR GREEN! Unless you are going for the floating head look.
Avoid Stark White. The edges of white clothing absorb green.
Glasses. Chroma keying software is really good at removing green. But its kryptonite is a bright reflection. The software will remove reflections and glares the same way it removes green. If your glasses give off a glare(which they probably will) the software will remove your eyeballs. Not attractive.
Stripes and Tight Patterns never look good on TV. So, don’t wear them to a green screen shoot either
Ladies:
Shiny Silver, Gold, or Diamond(including imitation diamond) Jewelry. For the same reason you don’t want to wear glasses. Your lovely shiny pendant will end up looking like a green hole in your chest.
Hair-
Straight hair looks best. Wavy or tight curls are usually ok.
Loose kardashian curls are a problem. It’s pretty much impossible to remove the green from the center of a curl.
Flyaways, static, and frizz end up looking like green highlights. Green highlights are only acceptable on tweens on st. patricks day. Just kidding. Green highlights do not belong on anyone regardless of gender, age, or occasion. I recommend using a little hair spray shortly before the camera starts rolling.
