A/n : I’M BACK!! I’ve worked through a lot of my struggles and I’ve decided that I’m at a better place and I can start posting again :) My writing style has changed since I last posted

*I can't keep up with when some pictures were posted but I hope the one I used below is from 2021, if it isn't, let's pretend it is*

You saw the post, saw his post on Instagram about his new song. Vinnie wasn’t a singer but he had pent up emotions and you knew that from the times he used to sing you to sleep. You looked the song up and listened to it carefully, listening to it a few times, reading the lyrics.

Vinnie wasn’t petty, you treated him great, right? So why was he writing a song about how he wish he never fell in love with you? You looked at the comments, fans wishing the girl in question would kill herself. You and Vinnie were private, sure you guys met each other’s families but you never did anything in public with each other.

You itched to turn the song off but you couldn’t do it. You loved him, you would’ve given Vinnie everything but he didn’t accept it. “Don’t do it,” you told yourself as you went to Vinnie’s contact and began typing paragraphs, deleting each one before settling for four words.

You sent the message, the song still playing through your headphones, the words cutting deeper and deeper the more you heard them. Your phone lit up on your chest and you saw the notification, your heart speeding up a little, knots in your stomach as you clicked the notification from him.

You let out a breath of relief and you saw the three bubbles show up as he continued typing.

Without thinking, you sent the message and you set your phone back down and within a few minutes, your phone buzzed against the ring on your left hand, making a loud sound and you read his message.

Have, he said have. Vinnie still loves you, Vinnie will always love you and this made you smile through the tears that had developed in your eyes. You began to reply and you realized that those feelings for Vinnie never left, you tried so hard to forget him but how could you forget the one person that made you feel as though everything in the world was okay?

You looked beside you, a picture of Vinnie leaned against your lamp and you smiled as you picked it up, remembering the laughs you guys had shared in his cars, in his rooms in Moorpark and Seattle, your room, in the same bed you laid in now. You grabbed your phone again and took a picture of the picture and sent it to him.

Hey! Quick PSA to the Vinnie Tumblr community.

I don’t hold authority or anything but I do have quite a lot of followers and I felt like this needed to be said: be kind. That’s it. Be kind to one another, to content creators here, or to literally anybody that you’re lucky enough to interact with.

Sending hate on anon is a cowardly thing to do and it makes the person receiving it feel shitty to the point where they don’t even want to open the app anymore. A lot have taken advantage of asking on anon that they feel they can say the most vile shit to someone and go on about their day as if they didn’t just cause emotional damage to another human being. Think about that, will you? How mean-hearted can one be to send shit to someone that they’re now left with the responsibility to deal with what you just said?

Vinnie Tumblr isn’t how it it used to be, haven’t you guys noticed? Old bloggers don’t even post anymore because this space has become so awful for them. I would like to assume they also got mean anons on their ask box that they didn’t feel the point in opening their blogs anymore because that’s the first thing they see: mean anons on their ask box and on their dash. Now who would feel motivated to be somewhere when that’s what you’re greeted with? And then people have the guts to ask why Vinnie Tumblr is so quiet.

I’ve said so much but hopefully you guys get the point. Don’t be the reason someone feels like ass. If you thrive off that then you don’t have anything to live for. I feel sorry for you. I know we all deal with a lot of personal shit and Tumblr may be an escape to that but somehow, someway, this turns into a bad place for them too. It shouldn’t be that way. This should be a place where everybody feels welcomed, safe, heard, and appreciated. Kindness goes a long way!

I hope this touches your hearts in some way and be reminded from time to time to be gentle and loving. I always say this but I’ll say it again! The world is cruel enough as it is, the least we can do is to be kind to one another.

I have met some incredible creators on here.

And seen them driven off by hostility and outright creulty because they "didn't do enough" or their work didn't meet some kind of unrealistic expectations.

What is honestly mindblowing is creators typically do this as a hobby, in free time because they enjoy creating and making stuff to share. Keeping favorite characters alive in some way. But are treated as is they are being paid.

No wonder they are walking away, saying its just not worth struggling to deal with this when it was all meant to be a small bit of fun in there hectic lives.

If they are not treated with at least the most basic of decency that all people deserve, we are all going to loose some amazing creators off this site.

Just something to consider if anyone is considering sending a nasty message on anon. 😒

PSA to Real Person Fiction (RPF) Writers

Had trouble pasting the video here, but @ao3commentoftheday posted this video about this announcement from Channel 4.

You can view Channel 4’s Twitter post regarding their new show at the link below, but I recommend you to read the full article announcing Channel 4’s fan fiction puppet series.

Here is a quote from the article:

Channel 4 has commissioned a new comedy entertainment series from RDF seeing celebrities reading steamy fan fiction acted out by a cast of lookalike puppets.

In each episode of The Really Really Rude Puppet Show (w/t), Mel Giedroyc invites a different celebrity to read an erotic piece of creative writing where the celeb is the lead protagonist. Each character in the story is brought to life by a band of puppets voiced entirely by the celebrity and Mel.

According to @ao3commentoftheday, Channel 4 representatives are also already commenting on AO3 works asking writers to write RPFs for their show. AO3 is currently deleting the comments as spam.

What’s happening now is an issue in more ways than one. Beyond writers being exploited for their free content, their EROTIC fiction will be read out by their intended celebrity through puppets with the effect of making fun of the written content (nevermind the fact that it’s making fun of women and queer sexual expression) and potentially making these celebrities feel very uncomfortable.

It’s already mentioned in @ao3commentoftheday’s video, but TO ALL RPF WRITERS AND ESPECIALLY TO BRITISH RPF WRITERS—HIDE YOUR RPF WORKS, both current and future works.

On AO3, you have the option to private individual works so that they are only viewable to registered AO3 users (for those who are not AO3 users, your AO3 mutuals can send you an invitation). Tumblr also has settings to hide your blog from external search engines such as Google and only make it viewable to Tumblr registered users. I’m not sure what features are available on Wattpad or FFN in terms of hiding fan fic works, but if anyone uses those sites, please be sure to hide your RPF works from public view if possible.

As a fan fiction community, it’s especially vital now that we continue to prevent our works from being exploited and ridiculed.

“How did you know I wanted this?” Vinnie laughed, “You’re not sneaky babe.”

Vinnie’s willing to spend the entirety of his bank account if it’ll make you happy.

“Baby, are you sure that’s all you want? You know you can have whatever you want in here.” You gently nod before he takes your hand in his and walks to the register.

Want to take it slow? Vinnie wants to shower you in love all day, including making love to you.

“You look so pretty. Wish you could see yourself right now.” You softly whined at his statement as you tightened your legs around his waist and squeezed his hand, “Faster please.”

Have a favorite meal? Vinnie looks up a recipe and cooks it for days, making sure the recipe is perfect for you.

“Vinnie, that’s the fourth time you’ve made that same meal this week.” Vinnie rolled his eyes at Jett’s voice, “I’m trying to make sure I have this perfect. She deserves to have the perfect birthday and I’ll be damned if I fuck it up.”

Vinnie wants to spoil you, despite you being against it.

"Babe, come on." Vinnie held your hand tightly, trying to drag you to a store. "Vin, that's all expensive." He shook his head, "No it's not. If you don't see anything you like then we'll leave." You nodded and let him lead you to the store.

I am a firm believer that this man will sing you happy birthday .

“Happy birthday to you!” You laughed at your boyfriend as he jokingly thrust his hips as he finished the song. “Do I get stripper Vinnie today?” He laughed, remembering the video you were referencing.

Vinnie's POV :

Monday had arrived and I wasn't ready to let Vanessa go home with Y/n, "Hey Ness, you wanna stay another night?" She looked up from her coloring book and nodded. I grabbed my phone and made a quick call to Y/n who was more than happy to let me keep her for another day.

"Mommy said you can stay, whatcha wanna do?" She shrugged and I laughed. My mom came downstairs and smiled, "Are you gonna get her stuff together?" I shook my head, "Y/n said I can keep her until tomorrow around seven." She nodded before going back upstairs after grabbing the cups and plates from my room.

"Daddy?" I hummed and played with her curls, "Work on cars?" I smiled, "Yeah baby, let's go work on the cars." She nodded and I helped her put her stuff away before grabbing a white tank top that was too small for me and I put it on her and a pair of regular black shorts I had for her.

I put her hair up as best as I could while she squirmed in my lap. "Get some shoes, baby." She nodded and went to where our shoes were as she looked at them and held up a white pair, "No white shoes." She nodded and grabbed a black pair and tried putting them on while I put on a tank top and cargo pants.

I put my shoes on before helping Vanessa with her shoes and she let me fix her hair and I put my long curls up in a bun. "Come on, Ness." She held my hand as we walked up the stairs and we went to the garage as I grabbed my bag of tools and put a box of gloves in it and found Vanessa's gloves that I bought and I put them in the bag.

We walked to the driveway as I put the hood up on the RX-7 and I put Vanessa's gloves on and then mine. I put her on top of my shoes, knowing she would crease them and get them dirty. I began to check the oil and transmission fluid and looked at Vanessa, "Can you get me the small bottle of oil, babe?" She nodded and ran into the garage and brought back the purple bottle and she handed it to me before taking her spot back on my shoes.

I emptied the oil into the car before working on a few more things under the hood, having her give me different tools before we moved to the R-32. I heard the gravel crunch and I saw my dad's car and I waved slightly before continuing my job under the hood. "Daddy, what's that do?" I smiled before explaining it to her and I looked at her face and saw her eyes wide before squinting and I laughed as she spoke in her tiny voice, "Don't understand, daddy." "You'll understand one day." She nodded and I took off my gloves before taking off my tank top, letting the sun hit my back and back tattoo.

"Always gotta have your damn shirt off." I laughed at my dad and he leaned down and kissed Vanessa's cheek, "Daddy got you workin' huh?" She giggled, "Wanna be like him." I smiled and my dad looked at me and smiled before going into the house. We finished up the cars before going inside to wash up before I made us lunch.

"Wanna go shopping at the mall?" She nodded as she played with her fingers, "Can Nana come?" I smiled, "I can see." She nodded and my mom and dad walked into the kitchen, "Mom, I'm going clothes shopping for Ness. Can you come?" She nodded and the oven beeped, indicating the food was done. "Nuggies!" We all laughed at Vanessa's excitement.

I put them on both of our plates before putting the mac and cheese that I made on our plates and I set the plates down at our spots before making her a cup of juice and making myself water. I put Vanessa in a chair as I sat beside her and every now and then I would catch my parents smiling at Vanessa and I. Once we finished our food, I cleaned Vanessa's face before we went to get ready.

I put my outfit on before getting Vanessa ready. I looked through my closet since she managed to leave in almost all of the outfits she had in her room. I found a hoodie and put it on her before giving her another pair of shorts to put on. I found one of her hats and put it on her and she found a different pair of shoes to put on.

I found a few of my chains that I didn't wear anymore before I put them on her and I smiled, "Ready to go?" She nodded and I grabbed my phone and wallet before I walked upstairs with her in my arms, "I got the flyest fucking baby!" Reggie laughed when he saw her, "We don't need another Vinnie." I rolled my eyes and fixed her curls before putting her hat back on.

I saw my mom walk out of her room before laughing, "Really Vincent?" I laughed, "Yup, she's my twin." Vanessa laughed and nodded before I put her down and she held two of my fingers as we walked outside, "We're gonna take my car." I nodded and put Vanessa in my mom's car and I got in the backseat with her. My mom drove to the mall as I let Vanessa play on my phone to keep her occupied while I talked to my mom.

Once we arrived at the mall, it was dark outside and I carried Vanessa in and we walked to different stores and I was stopped by a few fans as they asked to take pictures. I gave Vanessa to my mom and quickly took the pictures with them and I saw Vanessa hide her face in my mom's neck.

"We didn't mean to scare her." I smiled, "It's fine, she's just tired and ready to go home." They nodded and thanked me before going about their way and I took Vanessa back into my arms and we went to a few more stores before leaving. I put a half asleep Vanessa in her car seat before my mom drove home as we quietly talked.

Once we got home, I called Reggie to help take bags in as I carried my sleeping toddler inside. I found different clothes for her and quickly changed her before putting her in her room. I walked out and looked through all of the clothes and I got them ready to wash before my mom offered to wash them and I thanked her.

"I'm gonna take a shower, please don't wake Nessa." Everyone nodded and I grabbed clothes before going into the bathroom and taking a shower. Once I finished, I walked down to my room to see Vanessa in my bed and I saw my mom, "She woke up wanting to see you but she fell asleep." I nodded, "That's fine." My mom walked back upstairs before I laid down on my stomach and I felt Vanessa put her face on my back and I smiled.

I grabbed my phone and quickly took a picture of us before turning my phone off and going to sleep, knowing I would have to face Y/n in the morning.

The Next Morning

I woke up and Vanessa was still sleeping, having moved to being completely on my back and I softly laughed as her cheek was pressed against mine. My phone began to ring and Vanessa began to stir before grumbling. I grabbed the phone to see Y/n calling me and I answered, "Just making sure you're awake." I hummed, "I am, Ness isn't." She sighed, "How late did you keep her up?" I rolled my eyes, "She fell asleep around nine-thirty, anything else you want to critique?" I could tell by the way her breathing changed that my snarky attitude caught her off guard, "I'll be there in ten minutes." She hung up and I put my phone on the dresser.

"Ness, come on baby, it's time to wake up." I heard her lips smack before she moved a little, "No," she softly whined out and I laughed, "Mommy's coming to get you." She huffed, "Don't wanna go." I sighed, knowing she hadn't started acting up until a few weeks ago.

"Come on baby, you'll see me in two days." I felt her nod before she moved off of my back and I saw her face covered by her curls and I laughed and moved her hair, "Come on, we gotta get ready." She nodded and got up and I helped her upstairs and waited outside of the bathroom as she used the restroom and she opened the door so I could help her brush her teeth and do her hair.

I put her hair into a bun and went to get her ready. I gave her one of my shirts and helped her put leggings on. I grabbed her backpack and made sure the clothes she came in were in there after my mom washed them. I put the backpack on her and when I walked upstairs, I saw Y/n, Reggie and my mom on the couch.

"Can we go talk?" I nodded and put Vanessa on the couch as she messed with Reggie and we walked downstairs and she sat in my gaming chair. "Why were you ignoring me a few days ago?" I sighed and sat on my bed, "I uh heard you went on a date." She looked at me and spoke, "Vinnie," I cut her off, "Let me finish." She nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me you were seeing someone?" She shrugged, "I wanted to wait until it got serious." I hummed, "So you were going to let him take my place in her life?" She rolled her eyes, "No, she knows who her dad is and I wouldn't dare take that away from you. Why is this so important to you anyways? We haven't been together since twenty twenty, that was four years ago, Vin." I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"I'm still in love with you, I have been ever since I moved to LA. Before I moved back here, I was hoping you were still here, I definitely didn't expect Ness but she's so fucking important to me and so are you." Y/n nodded, "Vin, we can't be together, not right now at least. Give it a year, you've only known about Ness for a few months." I sighed, "Somehow I knew you would fucking say that. I just don't see why we can't go on at least a few dates." She looked at me as she looked down at her hands, "Vin, I have a boyfriend. I can't just break up with him because my baby daddy wants to get back together." I scoffed.

"So four years together and a daughter isn't enough for you? Just fucking tell me what I have to do to get you back." She shrugged, "We always talked about our future together and then you left and now that you're back I don't know what I'm supposed to do, Vinnie. I love you, okay and I don't know if I love you because of Ness or if I'm in love with you, you just have to give me time to figure things out, please." I nodded, not wanting to push the boundaries we have and she looked at her phone.

"I have to go." I nodded and walked upstairs with her and I reached down and hugged Vanessa, "I'll see you soon, baby." She nodded and kissed my cheek and I smiled, "I love you, daddy." I kissed the top of her head, "I love you too, be good for mommy." She nodded and Y/n picked her up and walked out of the door and I heard the gravel crunch as she left.

"What did you guys talk about?" I sat down and filled everyone in and Reggie looked at me, "You guys are both dumb. I hear you fucking cry in the shower over her and then when I go see her she's crying over you. Plus did you see her hand tat? It's your initials." I shook my head, "It's Ness's initials." He threw his head back and groaned, "Dumbass, she named Ness so you guys would have the same initials." I thought about it and remembered seeing something on her hand while we talked.

"Okay, hypothetically if it is for me then why can't she just fucking wait for me?" My mom slapped my arm, "Did you wait for her?" I diverted my eyes as the hookups I had in California came to mind, "No." My mom sighed, "Exactly, so you can't just ask her to put her dating life on hold for you. She's going to figure out this guy isn't good for her anyway. Just remember this girl was your first everything." I nodded, knowing Y/n was my first girlfriend, first kiss, first sexual experience and first love.

"I just want her back. I want Ness to be able to stay at one place where her mom and dad live with her and not have to go to two different houses." My mom rubbed my back, "I know Vin, it breaks my heart to see you like this but just give her some time. Why don't you try to get a girlfriend?" I scoffed, "No thank you." She sighed, "Have you had a girlfriend since Y/n?" I thought about it, "No, I've had hookups and fans thought I was dating a few girls but I've never gotten past the talking stage with girls I wanted to date." She nodded.

"You guys will get past this Vin. I know her and I know you and I can still see the way you guys look at each other with so much love." I nodded and Reggie looked at me, "Just hope you're not at her wedding as someone other than the groom." My mom gave him a pointed look, "Don't listen to him. Just go get some more sleep so you aren't thinking about this." I nodded and walked downstairs to see Vanessa's bear on my bed and I smiled before climbing back into bed, knowing it was too early to be awake before I pulled the bear to me and fell asleep.

Reader's POV :

May 18, 2025

I got Vanessa ready in the Airbnb we were staying in, "Mommy, where's daddy?" I smiled, "He's getting ready to go, baby." She nodded and I finished helping her with her outfit before I got myself ready. I held her hand as we got into the rental car and I drove to where the press conference was being held.

I saw Vinnie get out of the SUV he was in and I parked the car beside the car he got out of and quickly unlocked the door before he broke the door handle off. I heard the door open and Vanessa giggled, "There's my baby." "Hi daddy." I got out of the car and saw Vanessa on Vinnie's hip.

I smiled at the people he arrived with, having very little knowledge of who they were, "You his sister?" I looked at a guy that looked like a college frat boy and Vinnie spoke up, "Ex-girlfriend and the mom of my daughter." The guy's jaw dropped, "Damn, you let all that go?" I rolled my eyes and walked in behind Vinnie.

He gave me Vanessa and she played with his hands, tracing all of the tattoos he had as the ones he had for her poked out of the tank top he wore. "Wait, so your name's Vanessa?" I looked at a guy that had a slight country accent, "No, that's our daughter's name." He nodded as he looked at me, "Cale, stop looking at her." I snickered, "Your name's Cale?" He grumbled and Vanessa giggled as she played with Vinnie's chains. Vinnie bounced her on his hip and she giggled as she held onto his shoulders.

"Daddy, wanna go back home." He sighed and rubbed her back, "I know you do babe. You, mommy and I will be home soon." She nodded and put her head on his shoulder. "You guys live together?" I shook my head, "We live in the same city since we co-parent." The guy nodded and Vinnie gave me Vanessa before I was escorted to where the fans were.

I sat in a chair and held Vanessa in my lap and I heard people coo. Someone began announcing everyone and finally Vinnie came up, "From Seattle, Washington with sixteen million followers on TikTok, Vinnie Hacker." Vanessa clapped and I laughed and Vinnie walked out as girls cheered for him. Vinnie sat in his seat and he looked around and spotted Vanessa and I and Vanessa waved at him and his lips pulled up as he laughed and waved back at her.

People looked over at us and I saw a few people's jaws drop. They finished calling everyone and people began speaking. Vanessa looked at my hand and traced a tattoo that I had gotten for her and Vinnie, their initials carved into my skin.

"So Vinnie, why did you take this fight man? I mean, you don't even live in California anymore." Vinnie chuckled before answering, "Money, I have a family that I gotta provide for." The other guy, who introduced himself to everyone as Fousey, nodded. "I see that, are those your sisters over there?" Vinnie didn't hesitate to respond, "My daughter and mother of my daughter, actually. I'm not the same person I was when I lived here, like I said I have a family I have to take care of." He nodded.

Austin's brother spoke up, "She's kinda hot. You don't mind me playing daddy to your kid do you?" I saw Vinnie's jaw clench and some people began to instigate, urging him to respond. "How are you gonna play daddy to my daughter when you can't take care of your own?" "Oh shit!" My eyes widened and Vinnie looked over at us and Vanessa looked at him as she squirmed in my arms.

"Baby, you have to sit here while daddy works." She huffed, "Want daddy, please mommy." I sighed and ran my fingers through her hair, "It'll be over soon." She nodded and moved a little so everyone could see her face, "Damn, you have a beautiful ass baby. You sure she's actually yours?" "Wanna shut your fucking mouth Landon or do I have to shut it for you?" I sighed and shook my head, knowing how it would play out.

"Now guys, come on. This isn't that serious." Vinnie turned to Keemstar, face slightly red and neck veins bulging slightly, "You got a kid don't you man? So what the hell do you mean this isn't that serious?" He shut up and Vinnie turned back to Landon, "You never answered my question. You gonna shut your mouth or I gotta do it for you?" Landon laughed and looked at me as he spoke, "I gotta say man, for having a fine ass bitch you sure don't seem like you're taking advantage of that luxury. When I saw you last you didn't even have a kid, don't tell me you didn't know about that kid." If Vinnie were in a cartoon, smoke would be coming out of his ears.

Vinnie stood up and put the mic in his seat and I moved Vanessa so her face was against my chest as Vinnie approached Landon and Landon stood up. "Now guys, fight night isn't for another month and you guys aren't even fighting each other. Let's just sit down and forget about this." I heard Vinnie scoff and I saw his fists clenched at his sides before he stepped back a little and I heard the contact his hand made with Landon's nose.

"Get him, Vinnie!" I shook my head as the guy that looked like a frat boy, Bryce, began cheering Vinnie on. Landon laughed before pushing Vinnie's shoulders and Vinnie barely moved before punching him again, "You gonna think before talking about my girls again?" Landon picked his head up and I saw blood seeping out of his nose, down to his lips.

"Landon, just leave it alone." Bryce scoffed, "Shut the fuck up, Austin. Beat his ass, Vinnie." I rolled my eyes, knowing why Vinnie left Los Angeles. Landon managed to land a punch on Vinnie's cheek before they were pulled apart, "Guys, this is the end of the press conference. Fight night is June twelfth!" I was escorted by security to the back of the venue they were in and Vinnie came to the back where I was, fuming mad and a bruise on his cheek.

"My boy over here fucked him up!" I shook my head at Bryce's cheering and he saw me and grimaced, "Oh shit, she's mad. Good luck, Vinnie, it was nice knowing you dude." He clapped Vinnie on his shoulder and they all left the room to let us be alone. "Vin, it wasn't that deep." He sighed, "Maybe to you it wasn't but for me it was. I wasn't there when you needed me the most. I wasn't there to comfort my daughter when she had nightmares. I wasn't there to be a father to her for the first three years of her life and I'll be damned if another man even talks about taking my place." Vanessa took her face out of my chest and the second she looked at Vinnie her bottom lip wobbled.

He took her from my arms and held her tightly, "Daddy, got hurt." He softly laughed, "Should see the other guy, baby." She giggled and looked up at him and held him tightly, "I love you, daddy." He smiled and kissed the top of her head, "I love you too, angel." She smiled and moved so her head was on his shoulder as she took one of her hands and twisted his curls around a finger and he laughed before looking at me, "I shouldn't have lost my cool, okay and that's my bad but I'll be damned if a guy talks shit about your or Ness." I sighed and rubbed his arm, "I'm not mad, I overreacted. If I was in the same position I'd put a bitch on her ass." He laughed, "Like you did with Emma from tenth grade?" I rolled my eyes, "I'm surprised you remember that." He laughed and nodded.

"Like I'm gonna forget the day you fought a girl because she said shit about me." I laughed and nodded, "Well I definitely won't be forgetting this day, that's for sure." He laughed and rubbed my knuckles. We heard a soft snore and we both looked at Vanessa as she slept peacefully on Vinnie's shoulder, "Is it okay if I take her with me?" I nodded, "You don't have any girls over do you," I asked jokingly and he laughed, "Man, who do you take me for?" I hummed as I thought, "I don't know, maybe the guy that makes shirtless videos in his bathroom and swings his arm." He laughed, "And those shirtless videos provide for Nessa so anything else ma'am?" I laughed and shook my head.

We walked out and I walked to my car before turning to Vinnie and smiled, "Plus I'm not complaining about those videos." I got into my car to see his jaw slightly dropped and I drove back to the Airbnb. I put on something more comfortable before laying in the bed as I looked at my hand tattoo and I immediately knew a decision I had to make.

You love Vinnie, not Chris. Break up with Chris.

I massaged my temple as I thought about my decision, knowing Vinnie felt the same way but I didn't know if we would be able to go back to the way we were before we had Ness, back when we were highschool sweethearts before he moved over a thousand miles away from me. I grabbed my phone and called the one person that I knew would give me the advice I needed, the one person that I should've listened to from the beginning.

I began talking to the person and smiled when I got the advice I needed. "He made you so happy, I'm sure he'd love to have you back. I'm tired of listening to him cry over you in the shower." "Thanks Reg, that's all I needed. See you soon." I hung up and knew what I would do the second I got back to Seattle before I rolled over and got comfortable to take a nap and I fell asleep almost instantly, having an eventful day but what I didn't know is that breaking up with Chris would be easier than I thought.

Vinnie's POV :

"Mom, I'm leaving." My mom looked at Reggie with a raised brow and he showed his phone to her and she nodded and he left, "Where did he go?" She shrugged, "A friend's house." I hummed before grabbing my phone to call Y/n so I could talk to Vanessa.

Her phone went to voicemail and I sighed, "Mom, I'm going to my room." She nodded and I went down to the basement and turned on my PC before playing games and streaming. I played for a few hours before I heard the front door slam shut and I walked upstairs as I heard my dad talking to my mom, "I saw Y/n with a guy when I went to get us food." I furrowed my brow as I remained on the other side of the wall.

"Reggie went to babysit Ness. I don't think we should tell Vinnie." I heard my dad agree with my mom and I shook my head before going back downstairs as my mind raced.

Has she ever brought this guy around our daughter?

What if Vanessa starts calling him dad?

Does she not love me anymore?

Am I not a good dad? Is that why she's replacing me?

I laid in my bed, wondering if Y/n doubted my abilities as a father to our daughter and I fell asleep before I could grill Reggie about it.

The Next Evening

I got a text from Y/n saying she was down the block and I put shoes on, not bothering to put a shirt on before putting a hat on my unruly curls. I walked out of the house to see Y/n getting Vanessa out of the car and I saw the bright smile on my mini me's face.

"Hey Vin, remember you get her until Monday." I looked at her before grabbing Vanessa from her arms and she closed the car door and looked at me again before looking at Vanessa, "Bye babe, I'll see you in a few days." She nodded, "Bye Vinnie." I ignored her and walked into the house and I set Vanessa down and she looked at me, "Daddy, are you and mommy fighting?" I sighed, "No babe. Are you hungry?" She nodded and I grabbed her small backpack before putting it in my room and walking back upstairs.

I made her a quick snack and took my dad tax before giving it to her and she thanked me and ate the food and Reggie walked into the house and Vanessa looked back and waved, "Hi Uncle Reg, mommy said thank you." He looked at me quickly before smiling at Vanessa, "When you see her, tell her she's welcome." She nodded and Reggie went to his room.

I leaned across the counter and looked at Vanessa, "Did Uncle Reg do something for mommy?" She nodded, "Mommy went out with Chris and Uncle Reg watched me." I hummed, "Who's Chris?" She giggled, "Mommy's boyfriend, daddy." I saw my mom walk in and I looked at her as she looked at Vanessa before smiling, "Hey Ness, why don't you go play with Poncho in the backyard." She nodded and went outside and my mom stood beside me.

"So you weren't going to tell me?" My mom sighed, "Vin, you guys aren't together anymore. She moved on and you should too." I looked at my mom and scoffed, "I fucking love her mom but clearly I can't do anything now." She sighed and rubbed my back, "She told us not to tell you, she was going to tell you herself if it got serious." I nodded, "Has he met Vanessa?" My mom shrugged, "I'm not sure, Vin." I nodded and the back door opened and I saw Vanessa with dirt on her face and Poncho panting behind her.

"Poncho pushed me." I lifted her onto the counter and checked her over to make sure she was okay, "Let's get you cleaned up." She nodded and I placed her on my hip and went to the bathroom before running the water and she put bubbles in it. "Wait here, Ness." She nodded and I went to get her clothes from her backpack before going back into the bathroom.

I grabbed a towel and cloth from a cabinet and I helped her into the warm water as she played with the bubbles and I washed her curly hair thoroughly before washing her, making sure I got the dirt from off of her skin.

I rinsed her hair and body and let her play for a little longer before she wanted out of the tub. I picked her up, getting my skin wet before I wrapped her in the towel and she giggled as I dried her hair. I let her get dressed before readjusting the hoodie she had on as it reached her small feet and I smiled.

I did her hair before we left the bathroom and she held onto my neck and I saw my mom and dad in the living room watching tv. "Hey Pumpkin." Vanessa looked at my dad and waved at him. I sat on the floor and put Vanessa in my lap as she put her head on my chest, "Hey Ness." She hummed before looking up at me and I swore I was looking at a younger version of myself.

"Have you met Chris?" She nodded before playing with the hoodie sleeves, "He's nice, kinda ugly." I laughed and my mom looked at me, silently scolding me. "Ness, we don't say things like that." She huffed and moved so her hands were on my cheeks, "He doesn't look like you. Daddy's pretty, Chris is bleh." I let out a thunderous laugh and I even heard my parents laughing behind me.

"Don't tell mommy we're talking about him, okay?" She nodded before looking into my eyes, "Can I have a boyfriend?" I stopped smiling and I heard my dad laugh behind me, "No." She huffed and crossed her arms, "Why not?" I sighed before holding her to me, "Because, boys are gross and mean and carry diseases." She giggled as I tickled under her chin.

"You got diseases?" I laughed and shook my head, "I'm a man." Reggie walked into the kitchen and snickered, "Whatever you say, Vinnie." I rolled my eyes and looked at Vanessa, "Wanna listen to music?" She nodded, "Harry?" I laughed before nodding and grabbing the tv remote from my mom and she gave me a sour look before I turned YouTube on.

I gave her the remote so she could turn a song on. As It Was began to play and she moved her head to the beat and Reggie sat on the floor with us and sang along to the song and Vanessa looked at him, "You're not Harry." I laughed before he looked at me and I quickly quieted down.

She finished watching the video and Reggie grabbed the remote and I saw what he was typing and I moved to take the remote, "We're not making her listen to that." He nodded and finished typing in the song and artist.

"Daddy, who's that?" Reggie laughed, "That's your dad, munchkin." She looked up at me, "Singer like Harry?" I laughed, "I'm nothing like Harry, babe." She huffed and Reggie began playing the song. "Who was this even about?" I looked at my mom, "Y/n." I shrugged, as if the name wasn't significant to me despite her giving me one of my greatest blessings in life.

"Daddy?" I hummed, "I want a sibling." Reggie's hand smacked over his mouth and my mouth went dry, "Well babe, uh you gotta ask mommy about that." She nodded before asking another question, "Daddy, is mommy the prettiest girl you know?" I shook my head, "You are, mommy is the second prettiest." She hummed, "Okay." We all laughed and she grabbed the remote and played the song again.

She began to yawn and I looked at my phone and she looked at it, "It's me, daddy." I smiled, "Yeah babe, it is." She giggled and put her ear over my heart. "Ready for bed?" She nodded, "Can I sleep with you?" I smiled, "Of course you can." She smiled and I stood up with her attached to me and everyone said goodnight to her before I walked to the bathroom with her.

I helped her with her routine as I did mine and I walked downstairs with her. I placed her in my bed and cradled her to me until she fell asleep. Once I heard her breathing soften, I went to my gaming setup and began streaming with Ben and he began asking about Vanessa. "Daddy?" I turned around and saw Vanessa behind me. She yawned and wiped her eyes before climbing into my lap and I smiled as she put her head under my chin.

I kissed the top of her head and she hummed and I wrapped my arms around her, "Parental duties?" "Nah man, we can keep playing." I heard him hum as we continued the game and I occasionally looked at the chat.

I laughed at the comment before speaking, "I don't have a thing for moms anymore." Ben gasped dramatically and I softly laughed, making sure my body didn't shake so my toddler would remain asleep.

"Probably not guys, family is a big thing for me and my daughter isn't someone I want to put on social media and I want it to be her decision. You might see something every now and then but her face probably won't be in it." I shrugged, hoping everyone would understand.

Vanessa moved a little and I took my chains off so they wouldn't put marks on her face. Her lips smacked a little and I laughed and I heard Ben laugh, "How long do you have her for?" "Until Monday morning but I'm gonna see if I can keep her until Tuesday." I heard him hum before making weird sounds and I laughed and shook my head.

I couldn't help but laugh before speaking into the mic, "She's not into rock but she fucking loves Harry Styles. Maybe when she's older I'll take her to a concert." I smiled as I thought about the smile that would be on her face if I were to surprise her with tickets.

A few hours passed and my eyes began to get tired and I decided to end the stream. I walked to my bed, trying not to jostle Vanessa around before putting her in the bed and I saw a frown form on her features. I laid down and I felt her cuddle against my side as I scrolled through Instagram, Twitter and TikTok before finally putting my phone down and falling asleep with my daughter in my arms.
