It always inspires me in different ways, especially vintage leather pieces. They got their own unique signs like different fade and structure which I am absolutely obsessed with.”

“I’m wearing my dad’s old jacket which he hesitantly gave to me since apparently it’s too ’raggare’ for me. The scarf is my late grandma’s. The skirt is a second hand kids skirt. The pants are resized by me and my dear friend. And the shoes have gotten very slippery but I like to stuff the pant legs inside them. I pay attention to silhouettes and a general vibe and I’m inspired by noticing and combining.”

“I am wearing New Rock boots with purple flames. They are my favorite shoe company making various styles of gothic footwear from Spain. The pants are from a motocross brand Dye which I thrifted. I am also wearing a thrifted jersey that reads LISTED FREAKS. I am not sure what this jersey is from, but it stuck out to me because of the silhouette and that when I step out of my comfort zone I am often judged, so I embrace it by wearing freak across my chest. My style inspiration is linked to all I have experienced with my time on this planet. I use the negative energy in my life to express myself and create a positive display through my learned experiences. This is also the core message behind my brand (please tag Twisted and Divine where I create garnments to demonstrate creating light in darkness.“

“For headgear, I’m wearing a stetson I purchased at Alfargo’s Marketplace last summer. The top is a remade button down by Sloppy Seconds. Overalls are an old pair of Dickies I bought from It’s A Wrap in Burbank, CA. Shoes were bought vintage, pair of coffin toe cowboy boots. I’m also wearing an old RL silk scarf as a neckerchief. Picked up the western belt at Rose Bowl in Pasadena a couple years back. I’d say my style is driven by the type of person I’d like to be on any given day, clothes are such a great way to express yourself non-verbally. I have adult money to play adult dress up with and whether or not people enjoy it isn’t my problem. I love the freedom of getting to wake up and express to strangers through my outfit just what kind of silly mood I’m in that day.“

“I’m wearing an asymmetric y2k top, vintage duck head skirt, belly chains, thrifted pearls/bangles & extra high top Converse with a fun patchwork print! Also makeshift bows from shoes laces, fishnet, and lace. With this look my makeup is definitely gyaru inspired. 80s music/fashion icons like Strawberry Switchblade, Lene Lovich, or Nina Hagen inspire me to play more with accessorizing and hair. What inspires my overall style the most, though is probably my best friend: my sewing machine! My favorite pieces are things I accidentally piece together after playing around with cute funky fabrics I find while thrifting.”
