As long as we’re rewriting myths, we should take a break from a 600th interpretation of how hades and persephone are unambiguously good actually and introduce a new genre I like to call, “persephone fucks her way through the underworld, one undervalued female figure in mythology at a time.” the first installment is eurydice where persephone is like “was it that your boyfriend didn’t trust hades that he’d let you go? or that he didn’t trust you to follow?” and eurydice is like “unclear, but let’s make out.”

Hello! I just wanted to say NIDFTKOT is my fave fanfic. Each chapter is a finely tuned delight to lose yourself in. Honestly thank you for creating this richly realised, poetic AF AU. Do you have a KoFi page please? I have read the story twice and found it far more enjoyable that Luke Jennings work (sorry Luke!). It only seems fair to pay the favour forward as you must’ve spent aaaages on it and I can’t be the only one thinking this?? Thanks again.

NIDFTKOT did take a lot of time and effort, but i learned so much doing it, had a lot of fun, and having such a supportive audience made it all the more special. im so grateful to all of you for encouraging me so much. writing for KE and having all your feedback showed me how to write a different dynamic than what was then in my comfort zone, and that have me the confidence to brave domestic noir in my original work.

happy 2020, margot! how you doing?

hi!!! 

i’m actually doing, like, the best i ever have been. im working on a novel (gritty gay domestic noir), i’ve submitted a research proposal for postgrad that i’m massively excited about, and i have an insanely awesome and wonderful girlfriend i love, so i feel like i tripped and fell into a giant vat of luck. everything is a bit hectic with sorting out school and projects, but i’m really enjoying the challenge of it all.

i hope your 2020 goes amazingly, anon!

Hi! i also hope I get back to writing fic soon. my studies are going well, if in a bit of a grey area right now. i graduated and i’ve applied for postgrad, and i’m still waiting to hear. i had a fantastic (but stressful) final semester, and the research project i pitched is one im majorly passionate about. 

i miss you guys too. this group has been such a fun and vibrant community, and i’ve never had kinder or more supportive readers. im looking forward to having the time and energy to return!

that’s the loveliest sentiment, thank you. i definitely have plans for NIDFTKOT to return. it’s been a big transition period in my life lately (in a good way, but graduating, applying, etc. is all a bit scary regardless), and once i’ve got some structure back, writing fanfic for fun will return to my schedule. i kind of fell out of the rhythm of it and have to get back in, but i had so much fun working on that story, and i’m not finished with it. you guys are the most amazing community, and I can’t wait to get back into KE writing, hopefully sooner rather than later.
