a little fact from the music video commentaries that makes me laugh is during "don't let's start" linnell and flansburgh talk about its similarities to "puppet head", and how while shooting it, director adam bernstein was apparently kinda muttering, "I think we did this video already..."

I have an end-of-life patient to whom I spoke today. She burst out laughing and said, "It was all such fun. I just had so much fun." I wish this for everyone. I wish that we each would meet death laughing, with little regret and even less fear.

#april of last year is shortly before my gran got a serious cancer diagnosis and declined rapidly. she died in june #actually I just checked some dates. this post was just a week after she was diagnosed. damn. #one thing that stuck out as the most unfair part is that her final days seemed so.. boring. she openly wanted to go and it took so long. #it just didn't seem fair on top of covid taking the freedom of what ended up being her final years #so I hope she at least thought back on her life this way
