Bruce Wayne should be an old fashioned gothic romantic. When he actually falls in love with someone he should get a little weird and intense about it. “Alfred, how do I tell them I want to crawl into their very veins and pump their blood with my own hands without freaking them out” type shit.

Time-warped or travel scenario where Bruce gets launched back into a younger version of himself with all the memories and the first thing he does is goes and gets Dick Grayson right after his parents' death, then pick up Jason, arrange about a million playmates to get Tim out of his house, and once he has those kids happy and taken care of, he goes off to find Cass, helps Steph with her dad, and leaves a very pointed voice-mail for Talia.

Alfred thinks he's more mentally ill than usual for knowing exactly which orphans and as he pointedly reminds Bruce, "children whose parents are still very much alive" he's trying to steal and adopt.

Bruce heatedly replies that they're his kids and that he's going to do everything right this time, rendering Alfred absolutely speechless until Bruce asks if Alfred would be able to make dinner for his new brood of kids.

"Try and remember who you're speaking to Master Bruce, I've thrown dinner parties with less notice"

"Great because I have a list of allergies and some notes on favourite foods."

Batman AU

Batman tells Gordon that he doesn't kill. Thinking that it's a legality issue, Gordon deputizes Batman and gives him a gun and badge. Batman of course doesn't use the gun and just figures Gordon is stressed.

After Joker kills a Robin, Gordon starts to deputize the Batfam members.

Gordon: Next time you see that clown. Take. The. Shot. Rookie.

Robin (Tim, tiny ass 14 year old holding a 45 magnum): Umm... Yes sir?

Batman (plus all the Rogues, minions, and citizens of Gotham when Robin shows up with a 45 Magnum):

Saw the ask about the HC for a justice league origin and my favorite to play with has always been one where Superman and Batman meet and over five years get incredibly invested in each other's schticks, a year or so after they meet they end up working with Diana for something maybe world ending but quiet and years down the line when the Justice League is formed they're all incredibly in this weird limbo position. They're used to working together, but they're also used to defending Batmans position as a cryptid with their lives. That is not a habit that dies easily.

Everyone knows Diana and Kal formed the league, but they routinely reference a third member (who apparently did most of the "research" ie stalking on who would or wouldn't be admitted or considered for the league). They don't give a name. They don't give any kind of acknowledgement of who or even where this person might be stationed. When outright questioned about it both of them answer with some variation of "Who?" The league is convinced it's some hacker or just a civilian the two know. Maybe even a government person?

Up until the point that Bruce is actually forced to start working part time and most of the newer league members can't stand him. He gives orders and just *expects* to be listened to???

But Bruce has been the guiding hand behind almost all league strategy for at least five years now. Clark and Diana go to him for advice when they're uncertain on the course of action. He's the one making the training plans and the monitor schedules and the one who sorts through all of the requests or complaints Leaguers file. (A good half of which recently are about the fact that there wasn't a vote on Batmans sudden admittance into the league)

It takes some massive alien invasion and an almost complete wipe out before Clark forgets to switch to a private comm when someone manages a direct hit and asks Bruce if that's why he picked that guy for the league, cause he definitely wasn't on Clark or Diana's radar.

Cue the slow dawning horror as they realize that there wasn't a vote on Batmans admittance to the league because he's been a member from day one.

hi! my fyp on tiktok has recently been just full of nightwing content and im very interested!! ive never watched much, if any, dc content before.. can you help me figure out where i should get started? im mostly interested in nightwing but willing to watch anything. i gather its mostly animated shows/movies on hbo? thanks!!!

Hi!!! I definitely find that Batman: The Animated Series and then some of the following series are one of the easiest ways to get into the whole mess that is DC. HBO is definitely an awesome tool for watching those series (which are specific for children) and the DC Animated Movies (which are for adults and have much darker themes). Just because of their availability and the ease of getting into them, I DO mainly watch my DC content. (Seriously Max has like everything).

As for comics, I’m a little less well-versed but typically, I just find a run that looks interesting and try to start at the very beginning. While I’m not always in love with the New 52, it is something that anyone can jump into pretty well. If you’re look specifically for Nightwing, check out the run by Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo. I have yet to find a great pirating site - just look up free copies online and have a good ad blocker or you WILL get at least a virus or two. Just with how comics work out, you should be able to pick up a run and, especially if you start at the beginning, pick it up decently fast. You might be confused for a bit but that’s just part of the fun! If you are willing to shell out money, some of the comics are available for Kindle and DC Universe Infinite is $7.99 monthly and $74.99 annually (I borrow my friends and it is pretty good). Then, if you want more fluffy stuff to cleanse the palate of the general sadness of Batman and his clan, Wayne Family Adventures can be a fun, free (though not very canon) thing to read on WEBTOON.

There’s definitely a LOT of media out there. If you want to watch, you can’t go wrong starting with Batman: The Animated Series or Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (first movie in the watch order of DC Animated Movies). If you want to read, try going online or to a local library and start at the beginning of a comic run.

Embrace the confusion that will occur and have fun with your DC discovery!!!

Little Zuko and little Azula love Lu Ten. They love Lu Ten so much, they successfully smuggled themselves into Lu Ten's baggage when Lu Ten left to go fight.

Lu Ten, meanwhile, finds out that his little cousins snuck along for the ride way too late.

He knows they're gonna lose the fight.

He isn't about to let a couple of little kids die like that, murdered by Ba Sing Se soldiers too hyped up by war.

He may have been prepared to put his own life on the line, but he's not sacrificing Zuko or Azula's. But he also knows that if he flees the field with them, then Ozai will absolutely use that as an excuse to "punish" his own children.

Lu Ten does not want to know what that punishment entails. He is, in fact, more terrified by whatever it may be than the literal war raging outside his tent.

So.

He swallows his pride for his country, his love for his father, and his dreams of being a successful general.

He grabs the kids, fakes his death, and runs.
