#polls #so i think from everything on the list it is def theme you want to explore #but on another level it is psychological profile #i think it is that way stronger for original work #but it is the one thing i focus on and which stands in center #and psychological profile and theme go hand in hand #doesn't mean i immediately have it figured out #but everything feels secondary in purpose #aesthetic and name are related to the profile and also explore the character's backstory #the role within the story is a close second btw

#polls #picked the wrong one but def internal monologue #mostly bc to me nailing internal monologue and dialogue go hand in hand #that being said there is not ONE internal monologue that needs to be nailed #i am open to different interpretations #but if the internal monologue doesn't work or fit to me i am out #to me with adaptation and fanwork the internal monologue is at times the point #especially with television to fanfic transformations #like television shows you more of the outside #fanfiction can show you the inside #i guess this also shows what i am interested in when reading #edit: just to add i think a convincing internal monologue can make me nod my head at questionable non fitting dialogue choices #that's not true the other way around

i don’t understand why some fanfiction writers will put all of there work in one giant paragraph. i am constantly abusing a paragraph break. i use it every five seconds. new subject? new paragraph. slightly different angle? new paragraph. any sentence that holds any amount of weight? boom new paragraph. i will use one word then do another paragraph break. you can’t stop me.
