Did anyone physically see Sharl or hear from him in that race? I think Ferrari have created a clone.

The likelihood of getting appendicitis through your life is 1 in 20.
It is less likely after the age of 30 but does tend me more deadly.
At this point if I was an F1 driver I would consider getting my appendix removed as a precaution
Like I don’t know the likelihood of getting appendicitis but 2 drivers in like 18 months feels like a lot

lando norris is a good driver and actually has wdc potential he just need to get over himself
I think he’s a great driver he just makes mistakes sometimes. But that will probably goes away when he gets his first win coz it’ll take the stress off him a bit (like Max with the WDC).
He just puts too much pressure on himself.

i don’t want ollie bearman in f1 !!!!YET!!!!
it’ll just be a repeat of what happeend with nyck and it’ll ruin his entire career (and break his spirit) because different from nyck, he’s *eighteen*
I agree. Give him at least another year in F2 and then a year or two in a back team. Putting him straight in a top team is going to destroy him. Think of how broken Sharl looks at times and he did time in sauber.

I think they’d be great teammates they already seem to get on great. I just don’t know who’d I pick to want to win. Max would stay the first driver though and I think it’s important for teams to have a clear first and second.
yuki tsunoda deserves the red bull seat!!!
I would love to see Yuki in that Red Bull I just don’t know if my heart or blood pressure could handle Max and Yuki on the same team.
Yuki gets a lot of shit for being “aggressive” on the radio but they all shout and get angry that’s what they do.

lawson deserves the red bull seat more than ricciardo
I do think Lawson should have an F1 seat. He did a great job. I also think F1 should nurture young talent more than they do. But unfortunately I don’t think he’s getting one whilst Checo is at Red Bull unless something mental happens with the Mercedes seat next year.

Am I the only one that's a bit worried about George's and Toto's relationship? Like, that whole situation does not look healthy
I am not a George fan so I know nothing about this relationship. All I’ve seen is that he was staying over at his house which I did think was a bit weird. I have seen some posts about it though so I feel out of the loop here.

you didn’t really prove it wrong you just proved there were other times of domination that people also complained about. It’s the nature of the sport yeah, but it’s still boring tho
I didn’t say you couldn’t find domination boring. It was to all the people that say the sport is only boring now that Max is the one winning. Which is probably because those people don’t like Verstappen or Red Bull or both. I’ve seen more complaining that the sport is boring now than I did ever when Hamilton was dominating or Vettel.
If people find domination in F1 boring then you just find the sport boring because that’s part of the nature of the sport. It’s okay to find a sport boring. I love cricket and most people find it dull and boring and that’s okay.

It irritates me greatly when people say this season is boring because Max is winning and the gaps are to large. So here's a small history of the F1 to prove that wrong.
The first ever F1 race Silverstone 1950 the gap between P1 and P3 was 52s (with P2 2.6 behind P1). In the second race, Monaco only 7 drivers finished the race and from P2 to P7 they were all lapped. P6 and P7 were lapped 6 times.
In the opening two races of 1960 the gap between P1 and P2 was 26s and 52s respectively. In the opening two races of 1972 the gap was 25s and 14s. In 1980 it was 24s and 21s. In the opening race of 1993 in South Africa Prost beat Senna by 79s.
In the opening two races of 2000 at the start of his five year reign of dominance. Schumacher was 11s and 40s ahead of P2. The 2009 championship had 20 second gaps and 10 second gaps consistently. The only difference there is it wasn't as much one driver or team winning.
In 2014 and 2015 with Hamilton and Rosberg at Mercedes there were 50 second gaps to the nearest non-Mercedes driver.
In 2016, there were two non-Mercedes drivers that won races (Verstappen and Ricciardo with Red Bull) and there were massive gaps throughout the field in this year. in 2020, we had three non-Mercedes drivers win a race. Italy (Gasly) and Sahkir (Perez) both were outliers though and Abu Dhabi (Verstappen).
You do get closer years. Alonso's two championships (2005 and 2006) were a lot closer at the top but with massive gaps to the lower end of the field). The 2012 championship was much closer than other years.
The constant throughout F1 is that somebody will be dominant. Either a driver or a team.
Schumacher won five years in a row and two consecutive years before that. Vettel won four years in a row (although the championships were closer he still win them). Mercedes won 7 years in a row. Hamilton won 4 years in a row.
When the regulations change teams either get it right or they don't. And consistently in F1 one team will get it right. You will most likely also have a dominant team or driver in 2026 when the changes come in. It might be Red Bull, it could be anyone.
It's also never just the car. If you put the worst driver on the grid in the Red Bull they're not winning every race.

i don’t think it’s fair to say that the races now are boring: truth is, that’s how f1 has been for like 80% of its history, we just got incredibly spoiled between like 2005-2016 because that’s literally the closest the grid has been in the history of the sport and because we consistently had something like 6+ champions racing together. just look at the 2012 grid that’s stuff for nightmares ( which also makes seb’s dominance that much more impressive and it proves that he really is the most underrated champion but shh they don’t wanna hear that)
I did some research because the F1 website has the finishing times of every single race. Genuinely since the start of F1 there has always been large gaps between 1st and 2nd (or sometimes 1st to 3rd).
I have responded to this fully as a text post if you want to check it out but I may have made it a bit long for this.

okay f1 unpopular opinion (i think): ppl shouldn't expect drivers to be nice all the time, especially on track
Especially on track. If you mic up any sports athlete they’re going to say shit they don’t mean in the heat of the moment.

I don’t know if this will work but I hope it responds right. I think Checo is doing a good job at Red Bull. He doesn’t complain about being their second driver he doesn’t say shit in the media. There’s not more you could ask for. Obviously he’s had some pretty big mistakes but I think that was the pressure.
The only thing is I think Red Bull might want someone younger that they know will stay for longer. Also I’d love Max v Sharl at Red Bull it would be amazing.
Tags always work.
I’m bored and alone at work. Please send in your F1 unpopular opinions and we’ll talk about them.
