When Ben Wrightman (Jimmy Fallon), a young teacher, begins dating pretty businesswoman Lindsey Meeks (Drew Barrymore), the two don't seem to have a lot of the same interests, but they fall in love, regardless. Their romance goes well until baseball season begins, and Lindsey soon realizes that Ben is completely obsessed with the Boston Red Sox. Though she tries to understand Ben's passionate team loyalty, eventually it threatens to end their otherwise happy relationship.

Journey’s End Episode Kiss(left) vs Doctor Who Confidential Kiss(right):
I remember reading somewhere that Russell T. Davies didn’t want the kiss in Journey’s End to be too overly passionate because of the situation they were in. Which makes sense because Rose is definitely still confused about everything that’s happened and she’s still unsure about the New, New, New Doctor and it’s almost like she’s taken right back to that moment the first time she saw him regenerate, when she had to get to know him all over again, so she’s still quite skeptical in that aspect.
I do however think that by using the bit in the third gif down on the right, it would have allowed the Part Human Doctor’s emotions show just a little bit more. I mean you cut to the full Time Lord and you see how emotionally gutted he’s feeling at that moment. I mean, yes he’s comforted in knowing part of him will always be with her but he also knows that he’s never going to see her again and that pain is so unbearable all he can do is turn away.
Cut back to that third gif down on the right and you can see that there’s a bit of desperation in the way The Part Human Doctor is kissing Rose. At one point she even starts to pull back, but he tightens his hold and she melts back into the kiss as he dips her backwards. To me that just says a lot about his character’s evolvement because he’s finally allowing himself to have what he’s always so desperately wanted but never thought he could have and you can just see based on his body language that he’s finally letting some of those barriers down and giving in to his desires.

Alright all you Tentoo x Rose Fans, Watch Party Central has got a special treat for you. Over the past few years in the Doctor Who tumblr community, Tentoo fans have lovingly designated Tuesdays as ‘Tentoosdays” and since we are in the month of LOVE, what better way to celebrate than with some Tentoo x Rose fluffy shippy goodness. So come join Watch Party Central this coming Tuesday for a viewing of Journey’s End, followed by the two Short Trip audios from Big Finish, performed by Camille Coduri.

Jackie just stares at him, wide-eyed and unblinking, and somewhere amidst the alarm bells shrieking shrilly in his head, the Doctor wonders. Whether he’d intended to say anything or not, surely the confession can’t be that big of a surprise. One doesn’t willingly forego one’s TARDIS and one’s home universe of nearly a thousand years for the sake of someone they’re merely fond of, after all. But Jackie’s piqued eyebrows and gaping mouth suggest that she’s astonished to hear such a pronouncement coming from him–shocked, even.
(Why, why had that popped out? And why right now, of all times?)
Frantically, the Doctor searches for something else to say or do–something, anything to break the horrid silence that’s fallen between them–but his tongue is treacherous, solid and stupid and heavy and thick and trapping any words that might try to escape. But for all her usual capacity for ceaseless chatter, Jackie isn’t offering anything either. She’s strangely quiet, too. The Doctor wonders what’s passing through her mind right now, swimming hazily amongst the shock and alcohol.
He wishes, not for the first time, that things were all right between them. He’s surprised by how strong that wish is.
Perhaps he should bridge the silence with an apology. But right now, he isn’t even entirely certain what to apologize for. Probably start with the dinner lady comments; they were rather childish, if he’s being honest. But that isn’t what’s really bothering Jackie. It isn’t why she keeps looking at him like something she stepped in, that’s stuck stubbornly on the bottom of her shoe, or why she sometimes gives him those horrible pitying looks. It’s because he’s lost, because he used to be a good man, because he’s broken.
(A monster.)
And now his pitiful single heart is suddenly racing as all those snide references to the real Doctor start echoing again in the dark recesses of his thoughts, clamoring louder and louder all the while, fighting to be heard over everything he can’t quite push away anymore, memories and nightmares and really, aren’t they the same thing, anymore?
(What if it doesn’t matter what he says? What if he’s already damaged things irreparably, what if Jackie has already made up her mind that he isn’t really him? What if he’s already managed to alienate everyone without even trying? What if Jackie is disgusted at the thought of her wonderful daughter beloved by some pale imitation or cheap knockoff?
What if she really meant it, when she called him a monster?
What if she was right?)
