kagura and gintoki my top 2 favorite characters of the series.. kagura’s always copying gintoki.. she picks her nose and she makes the same expressions he does and she knows him well enough to imitate all his classic mannerisms when he’s gone to go around town and do the typical odd jobs.. she thinks gintoki is annoying and he has stinky feet but she likes him soooo much (says so outright in the manga multiple times!) and she wants to stay with him forever. and gintoki will never kick her out even when (if) she ages past adulthood and he complains about her being a useless kid that’s still clinging to his legs

benizakura movie about to make me lose it that’s where katsura and takasugi diverge!!! katsura saw hope when he saw that gintoki was still alive and living his life even if that meant not paying his rent and barely making enough money to get by. he saw that gintoki, who should have been the most affected out of all of them, had actually moved on and something with his life. except when takasugi sees this he doesn’t see an opportunity to finally move on bc he thinks that none of them should move on bc that would mean forgetting shoyo. he’s sooo bitter that gintoki is able to move past shoyo’s death when he’s still so obsessed with it that he’s holding onto a conflict that ended a decade ago. takasugi wishing that gintoki had killed him (and katsura by extension) instead of shoyo is the same thing as him wanting gintoki to remain just as miserable and hateful as himself.

i tried to kill myself also i watched/read trigun and it’s done irreversible damage to me. i hope vash laid in the grave he dug with wolfwood for a little bit before getting back up to protect the orphanage and that he considers it their marriage bed etc etc... he should start talking to himself during his travels after like he’s talking to wolfwood even if he gets weird looks... h

adding onto prev post of ianthe potentially having shaped corona’s body, i love that the bit in nona the ninth where corona (crown) says nona is sweet for saying she thinks she’s pretty and meaning it because ianthe always just says what’s on her mind even if corona just wants to hear a compliment.... it’s not that it’s not enough for ianthe bc even if corona were ugly she’d still be wanted but it’s that corona can never be enough for herself even as the older twin and heir, the one without necromancy, the potential cavalier who was never chosen even though she threw her whole being into following her sister anywhere she’d go. the sheer betrayal of being left behind after spending her life attached at the hip with ianthe because they couldnt let anyone know, they were in a conspiracy together since BIRTH but now ianthe is a lyctor of the king undying and coronabeth is crown in blood of eden. and she just wants her sister to tell her what to do

whatever ianthe and coronabeth have going needs to be studied under a microscope. ianthe -> necromancer who specializes in the manipulation of flesh, created a literal flesh shield when she first became a lector; coronabeth -> non necromancer whose loudest and boldest trait is her beauty and her curves and her shining hair. 

they’re twins and they’re the same height and ianthe is described as the “illuminated reflection” of coronabeth but what if... the illuminated reflection was actually the imperfect base on which ianthe first performed necromancy onto coronabeth to make her beautiful, larger than life, the perfect heir. because she knows what’ll happen to corona if she doesn’t. 

they’ve already been established as insanely codependent but like taking that one step further by having corona’s actual BODY be manipulated and shaped by ianthe as they were growing up is making me go crazy

yoohankim should always be tugging on each other’s metaphorical pigtails in my opinion. they’re so prickly and unused to emotional vulnerability and feeling anything stronger than friendship towards someone truly important. theyve got to get those pent up feelings out SOMEHOW. and what better way other than to poke at each other’s extremely sore spots that they all share because they went through an entire apocalypse together. what better way to feel love than pressing on it like a bruise that they collectively have, knowing how much it hurts and why it hurts but still doing it. 

postcanon yoohankim that for a while is just three of the most influential people on the planet living in a 2 story loft apartment, revolving around each other like planets caught in orbit. aware of each other’s presence and appreciating the gravity it gives them but also colliding sometimes, pushing a little too hard on that bruise and suffering the effects of the impact, the shards that direct themselves outwards and inwards. they know how to live in tandem with each other, but never without an outer goal pushing them together and now theres nothing but their own attachments. emotional constipation 101
