This ribbon is an easy lace pattern with edging on both sides. The pattern is very forgiving, very flexible, and could be made with a number of yarns or needle sizes. It is knit flat in a garter stitch and requires no special equipment.

The samples here are made with linen lace weight yarn, but this can be made with any needles or yarn. My ribbons were done with 2.25-2.75 mm needles; a smaller ribbon took about 25 repeats and one day to complete, and the larger ribbon was 43 repeats and took two days. I use them in my hair!

New project plan after a long hiatus

This is a lot of stitches to cram onto my poor needle. 540 per round, if I’ve done it right. (It was up to 560 at one point, but then there were some decreases.)

Happily, this means I’m now at the end, and can start the crochet bind-off.

And it’s looking spectacular.

'Lil cottagecore/historybounding outfit I put together to go get my meds this afternoon. Skirt made by me out of homespun cotton dyed brown, used a modified 18th century skirt pattern to hand-sew it together. Top is thrifted.
