So I was planning not to add more of my blatant thoughts about the discourse because so many people said it WAY BETTER than me, but I am tired, decaffeinated and DONE with this shit.

It's getting embarrassing being in the fandom now to be completely honest, how the fandom is spiraling totally out of control? With even the author being TOTALLY ignorant about every racist comment being bombarded on her own post??

Look M*shka if the only reason you're not responding to those crazy racist comments is because "you do not want a discourse" Then sis it's already too late for that? And don't get me started on how you have supported racists in the most non-subtle way possible? (By reblogging whitewashed art, and when pointed out, then completely stopping reblogging art that have the PROPER colors??)

The least you can do now is SAY SOMETHING on your behalf? Isn't it YOUR story at the end of the day???

The only reason I am still here with THAT url is because I love wayhaven. Not the wayhaven the author has slaughtered with stereotypes and misinterpretations (even though the characters and story are hers) but because as a fiction the book has some actual potential in it which we all love?

Sweet Tea

Nate once served his Southern girlfriend ice tea with sugar packets on the side...

A/N: I'll never forget the southern rage I felt when I went up north and they had the audacity to serve me unsweetened ice tea with.... Splenda packets

Nate watched in horror as his girlfriend continued to pour sugar into the pitcher, she was going on rant... a rant over sweet tea.

"You have to add the sugar while the tea is hot! How else is the sugar supposed to dissolve?!" It was a rhetorical question for she went on to the next task.

Grabbing a fresh lemon, she quickly sliced it into thin pieces tossing some in the pitcher with heap of sugar.

"You're very passionate about this, Zai," it was kinda cute, he got to hear more of that Texan twang.

Zai tucked a curl behind her ear, a small pout on her lips. "It's called sweet tea, y'know? Ain't a hard of concept to understand plus! It goes well with damn near everything."

After tossing six bags of tea in, adding in the hot water, she stirred until all the sugar was dissolved. "Alright, few hours of this in the freezer and you'll have the best sweet tea known to man."

"That's a tall order, love."

She smiled back confidently. "I can back it up too," she grabbed a dish towel and popped her lover's behind with it. "Now get on and get, I'm gonna whip up something for dinner."

The sun was just below the horizon giving the Detective's apartment a warm hue, and with soft music playing in the background, and soft hums of the woman who has took over his heart, Nate could easily get used to the simplicity of domestic life with Zai.

"So," she prompted. "How was it?"

"Dinner was great, the salmon was seasoned well and the vegetables were sautéed to perfection."

"I meant the tea, babe."

This prompted Nate to lean over with that look that made Zai think of things that would make the angels blush.

"The tea was definitely sweet-" he smiled.

"I feel like there is a but coming on.."

Nate closed the gap between them, placing a kiss on her lips. "But not as sweet as you."
