I imagine Camilo mirroring his parents’ relationship with his s/o. Like I believe he would definitely fall for somebody whose personality is kind of short-tempered and unpredictable. Like father, like son lmaoo. Love your blog <33
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SLAY ANON!!!!! ur mind>>> im not too sure if i did this req justice but there was an attempt LMAO
it was nearly your last straw. watching kids was fun sometimes, sure, but right now? you were just irritated. currently, you were looking after a herd of 6-year-olds in the town square so their parents could have a few moments of peace.
it had started off nice, sure, but after a few hours, you had gotten sick and tired of their nonstop chatter. there were about 8 kids and each one of them was trying to get you to do one thing or another- you weren't sure how much longer you could put up with it.
you could feel your eyes twitch and your heartbeat pick up, and you were milliseconds away from snapping when a warm hand slipped onto your shoulder and a familiar voice drew the childrens' attention.
"hey, guys! i think tía julieta has lunch ready for you all in her stall, just down there! go get something!"
the kids scrambled away to harass the poor woman, leaving you and your partner camilo alone in the plaza. an exhausted breath escaped your mouth and camilo laughed and gently bumped against your shoulders.
"everything good, y/n?" you shot him a glare to which made him grin further. "you need to stop agreeing to watch the kids for so long- we all know they're a little too annoying for you."
"trust me," you scoffed, "you are far more annoying than any of them." despite your words, you shuffled closer to where he stood and leaned your head on his shoulder, grasping his hand.
your partner feigned an offended gasp, dramatically placing his free hand over his chest. "oh, y/n, you hurt me!"
with a laugh, you buried your face into his sleeve as the two of you watched the wild 6-year-olds sit down on the floor to eat their food, chatting with each other energetically.
little did you and camilo know, his parents had just walked into town to speak with julieta, seeing the whole scene. félix and pepa looked on in pride as two rainbows graced the sky.
"cami's partner reminds me of me," pepa sighed dreamily. félix laughed and nodded, joy glistening in his eyes. he was so unspeakably proud to see his oldest boy so happy and in love- he was glad it was with you.

"Cami, sweetie, I brought you a midnight…”
You dropped the plate of arepas, rushing to your boyfriend.
“Camilo! Oh, Cami, talk to me, ángel dulce, “ You whispered to him, as to not frighten him. Camilo was gripping his curls, sobbing and shaking. Muttering incoherent sentences to himself. When you laid a hand on his shoulder, he yelped and turned to you vastly, revealing his face. Dark circles were emphasized on his eyes and it looked like he was crying for hours. You could tell by the eyeliner tear stain and smudged eyeshadow.
Camilo looked like he was about to make up an excuse, but when you put your hand around his cheek, it looked like he was just about to crack. His bottom lip trembled, “(Y/N)… Who am I to you?” The poor boy asked. Your eyes widened, but soon, you processed the deeper meaning behind his question and you slowly sat down next to him. “Camilo… You know I love you for who you—“
“No you don’t!” Camilo shouted. You gasped and jolted back a bit by the sudden loud noise. Camilo realized what he just did and covered his mouth, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean—..” He muttered. “Shh, Shh, it’s okay, mi amor,” You shushed him, “Talk to me, Cami. What’s been bothering my little cariño?” You asked in the softest manner. You put your hand around his cheek once more and Camilo leaned into your touch,
“I just want to be enough for the family,” Camilo confessed, “I’m tired, (N/N). I can’t even bare to shapeshift anymore,” He mumbled. You gasped lightly, “Oh, cariño, is your gift fading again?” You asked with deep worry. You thought that was fixed long ago. Was another mishap in the family again? “No, no. It just… Hurts. Mentally,” He said, “I just want to be someone else. I feel like I’m not enough for the family,” He said, his bottom lip trembling as he said that, “Am i enough?” He sobbed.
You put your hand behind Camilo’s hand and rested it against your shoulder as he sobbed into it, “Shh, my love. You are, you are,” You assured him, “I promise you. You’re all I ever wanted. You’re kind, thoughtful, funny,” You chuckled, “And sometimes stupid… I love that stupid, though. Because it’s my stupid,” You said, “And I don’t want any of that to go away. I’m sure your family feels the same. Abuela Alma loves you, the family loves you. Just for who you are,” You smiled, rubbing his back.
“Corazón, who am I to you?” Camilo asked once more. You sighed, but with a longing smile. Like you were thinking of him as if he was gone, “The boy I see every afternoon, who I adore, who I admire. You’re one of the most strong and caring people of the Encanto, and I promise that,” You began, “You’re the reason I keep going, Cami. Just your smile, just yourself is enough to make me feel special. Because it’s you, all you,” You said, lifting his head from your shoulder and lightly kissing the top of it. Camilo smiled and tears came down like a river, “I love you. Please don’t ever forget that,” Camilo whimpered. You nodded, “Why would I ever?” You asked, a soft, gentle smile on your face. The smile he loved to see.
You gently sat the boy down on the edge of his bed. You began to situate his bed for sleeping, pulling the blanket over and such. Camilo watched you, getting antsy just by the second. When you were turned, you were met with the most puppiest of puppy eyes you’ve ever seen. You chuckled, “You want me to stay in your room for the night, don’t you?” You asked. Camilo just nodded, with a smile ear-to-ear. You beamed and walked over to your boyfriend to hold him bridal style. You set him down on one side of the bed and pulled the covers over him.
Camilo leaned into the comfort of his own bed and sighed happily, waiting for you to climb on in with him. You did just as he wished, climbing in bed with the hopeful boy,” C’mere,” You giggled, pulling him up to you so he could wrap his arms around your stomach. He leaned into your soft body like it was a bed itself, “May I touch your hair, hon?” You asked, putting your head down to face him. He nodded, purring as soon as you set your hand down on his head of curls. You played with them gently, and he was fast asleep before you knew it.
“Goodnight, mi amor,”
