Each morning I ask myself if I should pursue the meaning of life or abandon it altogether

I’ve sat on the edge of my existence quite often to know it’s real
Fingers running over the smooth silver of a lighter
Looking at how far I’ve come
At what I’ve become
At how far I’m going to have to go
The paradox of life baffling
It’s long yet not long enough
It’s short but in our heads we’ve lived ahead
Lived forever
In an incredibly tentative timeline
You’re killing time by filling the gaps with purpose and meaning only to bite the dust
Only to learn that life is inherently meaningless
You live only to die?
No amount of lovers, books, jobs, people are gonna make it be otherwise
You despair life yet you stay alive
And it’s these very thoughts
At 3AM in the morning
Makes me contemplate burning the whole damn thing down to the ground
Why?
Why not?
It’s gonna happen anyway
- I, a Nihilist.

I’m not asking for divinity
Rather the opposite
I wanna be nothing
Stretched into nothingness
A state that’s not conscious of its own existence
Something that’s there but still isn’t

I want peace more than I do death
And if it’s through death I’ll achieve it
So be it!

Somedays writing flows; somedays you just bang your head against the wall and yet nothing legible comes out.
For those of you who are struggling to write — even getting started has begun to feel like an effort, one of my friends suggested this to me and I hope this works for you, too! Start putting 200 words on the paper every day. There’s only so many days you’re gonna suck on. Eventually those 200 words will start getting better. Just get started.
Write 200 crappy words.
