She literally abandoned her son and expected him to be okay with it. She flirted with her brother-in-law with no hesitation. She never made up for her mistakes like Garmadon did for Lloyd. She made the choice to abandon her child, while Garmadon had no choice. If their roles were flipped, I can guarantee you that Garmadon wouldn’t have thought to abandon Lloyd for even a second.

She’s just a character so it really isn’t that deep, but I hate it when I see people write her as if she’s this wholesome, amazing mom. Y’all gotta realize she was just as bad as Garmadon. 🙏🏻

(Obviously this is different from the Lego Ninjago Movie. Koko is a whole different breed of mother and we stan her)

As a professional angst writer, I'm saving this for inspiration.

BROOO so I was reading the chapters of "The splinter in the blind man's eye" which is something Tommy Andreasan (co-creator of Ninjago) and another person wrote together, and it was a "could be canon" Ninjago story.

Lloyd is the protagonist in this story (and claance), and Jesus fuck he's A SUPER TRAUMATIZED CHARACTER???

I guess this "could-be-canon" Ninjago story also proves Lloyd has fucking PTSD 😭

Greetings fellow college girl Lloyd enjoyer. 💚

A scenario: End of season 10. Lloyd has his vision, but instead of FSM he meets his father (the good, non-oni side of him). What is his reaction and what happens?

OH MY GOSH THIS IS AN AMAZING ALTERNATE ENDING SCENARIO.

This would this would be an interesting situation mostly because it's closing out the oni trilogy, where Lloyd's issued with his father were not only rekindled but made worse. In MotO, Lloyd hates the idea of working with his father, and while Garmadon does do things to start his redemption process, Lloyd sees none of them.

However, I think that if Lloyd saw Garmadon as he was in Rebooted and Tournament of Elements as opposed to the FSM, it would be a healing experience for him. To get to talk to his father about all that has happened, to get that bonding that he longed for ever since Garmadon sacrificed himself. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there were tears.

Lowkey you've inspired me to write a one-shot about it. I'm not good at staying motivated though, so we'll see if it happens. If it does, I'll be sure to tag you in it because this is an alternate universe that would be SO exciting to write about. It could also end with Lloyd ultimately choosing death over returning to his own life.

Lloyd in Dragons Rising. (Not sure if it's spoilers or not. Read at your own risk)

So, I haven't watched Dragons Rising yet, but I've noticed something in the scenes I've seen, and I have to talk about it.

Yes, Lloyd is obviously mimicking Sensei Wu as he tries to teach these kids how to be ninja. You literally see callback after callback to things from the original series. Especially the tea and training course thing from the pilots. It's so obvious that he's trying to teach the way he was taught and that he looks up to Wu a lot.

But that isn't why I made this post. I've already seen this post. I wanna talk about his mannerisms.

Look at the way Lloyd holds himself. The way he stands tall and walks with one hand behind his back. That isn't Wu's way of walking, the way he talks isn't quite like Wu's either.

You know who walks like that? Who talks like that?

Garmadon. To be more specific, Sensei Garmadon.

Whether Lloyd realizes it or not, he's copying his dad.

And as an og fan of the show, I'm gonna go cry. (And maybe even finally get around to watching DR. I have no excuse at this point...)

Ninjago AU: What if Lloyd sacrificed himself instead of Garmadon?

Don’t know if this has been thought of before but I’m going to continue anyways

We all know during the tournament of elements Garmadon sacrificed himself for the elemental masters to win but instead while he’s about to be taken by the cursed realm something pushes him away and when he turns back it’s Lloyd getting taken away and his last words are that he wishes for his father to live a good life even if he’s missing despite Garmadon shouts that he doesn’t do this but it’s too late as the realm has taken his son he’s paralyzed by the pain and just breaks down in sobs and pleas for the cursed realm to take him instead and to give back his son all to no avail.

They build a memorial for Lloyd but the pain Garmadon feels is unimaginable. He is in constant grievance shutting everyone out and just wanting to be alone. Taking frequent trips to the memorial where he’ll spend countless nights there because he doesn’t want to go back where everything feels empty without him. Wu and Misako try everything to cheer him up but nothing works yet they don’t give up and keep trying until Garmadon snaps at them which is when they give him space. Not only is he mourning but he’s trying to find a way to get Lloyd back without needing a sacrifice and without raising suspicions from others.

Then comes to the events of Possessed and Morro is free from the cursed realm in search of the green ninja but he doesn’t find anything in the city but spots an old man that reminds him of Wu and follows him to the gravesite of the green ninja much to his dismay as he wanted to take him down instead he appears and demands the man to take him to Wu before immediately getting blasted away which makes him realize the man is Garmadon, Wu’s brother, putting the pieces together he sees that he is mourning over the green ninja which just so happens to be his son and his son looks identical to a certain blond haired boy within the Preeminent.

Morro then gets an idea of how he’ll get the realm crystal and starts by telling Garmadon that he’s seen Lloyd and knows how to get him out(lying about getting him out) and Garmadon so desperate to reunite with his son agrees to help him even though it’ll mean fighting against his brother but he doesn’t care, his son will be coming back and that is all that matters. And well, you can imagine the rest from there ;)
