The fact that he thought of Aemma's daughter as his only child and practically rose from the dead to defend her. The fact that he saw Aemma in his last moments. The fact that they played Aemma's tune at the dinner, the last time Viserys was truly peaceful.
The fact that he kept Aemma's ring, the fact that he mourned her constantly. The fact that he never spoke of his grief, of his loss, because what right did he have? He was the one who had killed her.
