Hey guys, this blog will be locked and deleted soon because running it is too dang stressful. I’ve been taking time away from discourse and tumblr in general, and feeling a lot better for it, and I’d prefer not to relapse into feeling anxious every time I log in to this site.
Thank you so much to everyone who submitted posts, and I’m sorry I didn’t get to all of them. I appreciated your support a lot.
Be safe and watch out for yourselves. Block harassers, blacklist discourse, do what you gotta do. I’ve learned now that you can’t fight battles if you’re too badly hurt yourself. Look for people who uplift, reach out, and listen instead.
Take care. Lots of love, esp to fellow aces and aros. -mod

update about this particular example!
I’ve found out a lot of extra and important context for this one. As figuregayting mentioned a while ago, the OP apologized for this post. I wanted to keep it up as an example of a bad idea, not a bad person. Everyone fucks up at some point and OP doesn’t deserve to get harassed and dogpiled (which is, again, why I always crop out names), but it was still a great example of how quickly exclusionist logic turns sour.
However, another blogger (who shall remain anonymous) kindly let me know that OP also stated that they didn’t even mean to phrase it this way in the first place -- they misspoke. But, since they were in the Discourse Spotlight, it was too late to correct or clarify before it got paraded around as an example of bad thinking. Anon also noted that this can easily turn ableist, as people with ADHD, etc can often make these kinds of typos or forget bits of information.
With that in mind, I don’t think this is a fair example of what I’m trying to show with this blog. I apologize for including it -- if I had brushed up more on the original context, I probably would not have done so in the first place.
TL;DR: Think before you post, and don’t post shit like OP did, BUT also please give people the benefit of the doubt as much as possible. Let them correct typos and omissions and bad phrasing, and let them apologize and move on when they mess up. People make mistakes.

(Not really so much a ‘guess which’ one, but I think it deserves a mention for the good ol’ “having your sexuality classified as a mental disorder isn’t oppression” implication)
Thanks for the submission! (Submitter notes: ‘’’’’misdirected ableism’’’’’)
