MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

for anyone who cares, i’ll be taking a temporary leave from tumblr because the IF community unsurprisingly has become something spurned by personal vendetta and hate. this wasn’t really something i cared about initially but the type of asks in my inbox + people trying to dox me online is something which is taking a toll on my already unstable mental health.

i’ll probably be passing off both my blogs to a trusted friend or my girlfriend. either that or i’ll delete the blogs completely. in case the blogs are still up, the links of the updated projects will be posted when they’re ready. otherwise, you can find them in my itch.io account.

the projects will still be continued + updated, but i’ll be limiting all contacts with the readers and the authors who are immature enough to set up fake discord and tumblr accounts to dunk on me. for context, i know who you are because there aren’t a lot of people who know my full name and all the projects i’ve discussed in private.

if you have a genuine suggestion or want to support me, reach me on my discord server. i’ll be going more active there from now on and it’ll probably be my only direct source of communication.

the decision for the upholding of both of my blogs will be pending for a week. after that, i’ll either delete them or hand them to someone else.

for context:

j park: while they had feelings for the MC from the moment they met as kids, the moment they knew was when MC gave them their lunch after defending J from the bullies. it was MC’s favourite food, yet they gave it away because J had told them earlier that they skipped breakfast.

t kaufmann: when they started getting hints that the killer’s next victim will probably be someone from the hospital, all they could focus on was keeping the MC safe and close to them. all those occupants and employees in the hospital and the only person the detective truly wanted to protect was the MC.

vivienne malhotra: she’s the type of person to journal a lot when her feelings spiral too much. you can only guess how she knew when she tried to write down what she felt for the MC but she started rambling and listing out everything she loved about them 😭

sebastián navarro: similar to J, he started having feelings for the MC from the moment they met. the moment he knew was when he visited the hospital to get a prescription for meds and couldn’t stop subconsciously smiling when his eyes landed on the MC.

I can't find the demo for TLT, was it deleted?

i had to take it down for editing since i did not have any desire to lawyer up with disney. i am happy with the edits for now and there will be more of that in the future. for now, i tried to add + modify the pre-existing original material of the lightning thief in a way that does not damage its integrity and also provides ample amount of my own storyline in the future for the MC since they can choose to be the child of someone other than poseidon like percy.

you know, i really thought it’d be easier to ignore this. however, i have a lot of asks like yours in my inbox and now i’m stumped. genuinely speaking, i never thought that making vivienne’s character gender-locked would’ve created this much wave.

since i also don’t want the scales to be tipped, if i’ll make vivienne gender-selectable, i’ll be making sebastián gender-selectable too. at first, i thought it’d be way too complicated to change everything now but y’know what? i don’t think it’ll make anything too drastic of a change.

definitely! there’s a very stubborn raven (maybe crow, haven’t decided between the two yet) whose main objective will seem to be MC’s companion, and annoy salem in the process. i’m also leaning towards adding a snake companion too in the future because it’ll just make sense with what i have in store

ooh boy, now that’s a can of worms we’ll be definitely opening.

while MC never dated anyone in high school (too busy with a whole other type of body count, iykyk 👀), they were never short of admirers who were keen on being their partner and having a ‘high school sweethearts’ arc with them.

it didn’t end well for any of them, needless to say. J would make their life a living hell. pouring itching powder in their gym shirts and shorts; placing nails inside shoes; slashing their car tyres and keying it too; stealing their pets and only returning them anonymously way later; putting hot sauce in their roll-on deodorant; exchanging their shampoo with hair-removal cream.

these are just a few of the many things they’d done and no, they have no regrets.

I really don't mean to sound mean but I really hope you don't change anything about the storyline ): I'm pretty sure that was the whole point of converting the books into interactive fanfiction. It really sucks that some people have to ruin good things with their Karen-ness

i guess you’re talking about the PJO interaction fanfiction? in that guess, rest assured that the storyline is going to be pretty much the same for the first book. i only wanted to change the wordings and add a bit more nuance and dialogue to the story.

plus, i don’t think people were being karens as much as they were just questioning the legality of it, which i understand. ao3 authors have gotten more shit than me from the actual publishing companies and they had ao3 to protect them, i’m just a silly guy trying to give an interactive format to my favourite book series and itch.io will definitely not save my ass from disney.

you can rest easy though because things will move forward as it did in the books. this is just me taking precautions and adding changes pertaining to a way in which it doesn’t shake the original storyline at all.

i decided to do a complete rewrite since some people have informed me that it’ll infringe on copyright laws. even with proper credits and disclaimers, it will be liable for legal repercussions since it technically counts as me distributing the source material out for free (with or without monetisation). and because i have no wish to tussle with disney’s lawyers, i’m going to do a rewrite more along the lines of differing from what rick riordan has already wrote.

the storyline will be the same, but the overall wordings will be different. i don’t think the updates will take too long and i’m open to any suggestions you guys might have (discord: @fall3ngod) as this is largely a fan-made project.
