I started this blog as a way to share with people the things I love doing in nature as well as the new things I’m experiencing for my first time in the outdoors. My focus will be a lot on fishing with some hunting, camping and hiking mixed in as well. While those things may be the main focus of my posts I’m going to try and lay strong undertones of exploring new and unique places as well as the general beauty of the outdoors. I’m giving myself a quota of one post every two weeks. I will also try and take good photos too make it make it more interesting. We’ll see, if I get a good following of interested people that want to ask more questions I’ll try to post more. As for now I fully anticipate to feel as though I’m talking to myself or a wall.

Had an unsuccessful deer hunting season this year despite putting in more effort than I’ve done in the past. While it was disappointing, it’s transitioned into a great ice fishing season so far. Lots of walleye and time on the ice enjoying nature. The nicest thing is that the lake is a lot quieter in the winter with a lot less motor traffic than the winter.

Went deer hunting for a little bit this morning. Got impatient in the stand and went for a walk into the pine plantation to practice walking stealthily through the woods. Didn’t see any deer but I was able to get about five feet from this little guy.
