//sorry for the disappearance. I've hit a pretty bad depressive episode and lack a lot of motivation. Had to put my car in the shop and had a panic attack yesterday because timber suddenly got pretty sick. He's okay now, though. I'm hoping to reschedule my check up appointment soon with my doc as I'm getting back on medication. Hopefully I'll see yall soon. In the meantime, I'll be playing stardew valleys new update.

A bit of good news amidst all the chaos, though: I got accepted into the teaching program! I'm officially a grad student, and may potentially be starting this fall instead of the spring of next year.

To say that Nikki's been a bit clingy since they reunited would be an understatement. The shifter has hardly let Prompto out of her sight. It's quite the difficult task when the world has been plunged into a never ending darkness. There's a small part of her that's scared it will be another ten years before she sees him if they get separated again.

Although they've both matured a great deal over the past decade, her stomach is churning. She still has to steel her resolve in a way that's so unlike her usual reckless behavior. The pair are seated next to each other, Nikki leaning against him with her head resting upon his shoulder. Nikki wonders briefly if he can sense the way she tenses for a moment. Her hearing may be superhuman, but surely he can hear the way her heart is pounding in her chest, too.

"Hey, sunshine...?" There's an unusual nervousness in her voice as she gets Prompto's attention, and she knows there's no way he doesn't notice it. The sharpshooter knows her far too well.

His head turns towards her, and for a moment she thinks about changing her mind. Instead, she nuzzles her nose against his shoulder before resting her chin atop it. Nikki's eyes search his, a soft hum escaping her.

Gently, fingertips rest against his freckled cheek, leaning forward just enough to place her lips softly, tentatively against his own. She really should have done this a long time ago.
