can people please shut up about the love languages?? they were cooked up as a gimic to sell self published books by a homophobic evangelical priest who hated his wife and lied about being a qualified psych!!! nothing about the love languages is a legitimate analytical tool. your otp makes sense because they're written well by people who are good at their craft, not because person a likes gift giving and person b likes affirmation. your partner doesn't understand your needs because you both need to be better at communicating or you're actually not good together, not because their love language is acts of service or some shit. everyone likes being given things and told nice things and kind gestures! It comes with being a person and youse need to find a better way of expressing that because using the self-published ramblings (of a man who hated women) to catagorise people is, dare I say, a habit that will endear you to bigots more than anyone if you aren't careful.

LibreOffice is an option, but watch out. It's clunky and not very intuitive (like most open source projects). It has a small learning curve if you're coming from Word or Google Docs. So please, absolutely use it if you can't purchase Word or don't want to pirate it, but mind that it can be a bit frustrating at first.

(I'm adding that because I used LO for years in the past and it grew resentful of it)

My neighbor collects plushie chicks on the dashboard of her car. It brings me so much joy to see her absolutely plain sedan with a bunch of yellow chicks decorating it. Once I saw her coming out of the car and I excitedly exclaimed "oh, you're the owner of the chick car!!" And she burst into laughter.

So I had an idea. I went to the dollar store and bought a super discounted Easter plush chick, and tied it to the car's wipers last Friday.

Today (Monday) I walked past the car and the Easter chick is sitting beside the others! My offering was accepted by the chick car :)

My college fucked me over, and is keeping me from completing my last semester. I need your help

My college is withholding me being able to attend this semester because of a late fee of over 130$ that I can't negotiate. They're charging me it even though I paid to the date for 4 years and then, they changed the cutoff from the 10th to the 8th, and as soon as I had money on the 9th I tried to pay for it and got a 130$ bill on top of my full tuition(without scholarship). I cant pay that. Im already very much in the red trying to feed myself and my wife and this is simply something I cant pay. I need your help so I can finally graduate.

Please help me. Idk what I can do......
