One of my absolute favorite tropes is
“We have taken the one you love most!”
“Oh, have you? Good fukken luck lmao”
*distant screams of kidnappers as loved one escapes*
or the flipside:
“We’ve kidnapped you!”
“You are in so much trouble. You are in so much fucking trouble. You are in the most trouble ever, oh my god.”
*DOOR EXPLODES INWARDS AS LOVED ONE ARRIVES*
and the alternate:
*vehicle pulls up, door opens, person is shoved out, door slams, vehicle screeches away*
“Did you get kidnapped??”
“For a minute yeah”
kitty winter, survivor of a brutal kidnapping and assault, being mother hen'd by sherlock in the form of him giving her busywork to keep her away from her first male suitor since the attack, says his behavior made her feel protected and loved. i'm not crying. YOU'RE crying.
i absolutely love how much elementary sherlock adores animals. he sometimes tries to deflect and act like he doesn't (like when he teased watson about turning clyde the turtle into soup) but he always shows his true colors with every animal they encounter on a case. for instance, he kept clyde as a pet who he dotes on completely and even gushed about the turtle cosies that miss hudson knitted for him.
he kept two roosters from a fighting ring explicitly to see if he could rehabilitate them, letting them free-roam throughout his house and giving them cute names (remus and romulus). at several points throughout their stay at the brownstone, he sits them on his lap and gently pets them as he turns over the case at hand in his head. once he successfully socialized them, he personally ensured they would be in good hands by reaching out to someone he knew at a petting zoo to take own ownership of them.
when a highly poisonous exotic snake was found at a suspect's apartment, being the cause of the suspect's death itself and putting everyone in the apartment in danger, he still insisted on taking the snake back to the brownstone and housing it until he could find a place for it at a zoo (again, vetted first by someone he trusted) because he couldn't bear for the animal to be put down or mishandled if taken by animal control.
and most of all, the bees! there are several episodes that involve him protecting bees, advocating for them, and speaking out against harmful chemical and agricultural companies and practices in defense of them. he has no hesitation in calling the heads of multi-million dollar corporations "murderers" to their faces if their companies are directly or indirectly involved in the decimation of bees or their habitats.
i just love this little aspect of his character that shines through consistently throughout the seasons of this show, it's adorable
There are currently ~2300 works in AO3 tagged with "Created Using Generative AI"
I'll be upfront with my opinion, which mirrors my opinion in regards to my field: using AI will only hasten your own obsolescence. The point of fanfiction is not to crank out fics, but rather to enjoy the hobby and communities of writing and fandom.
⁉️⁉️ if this a reader/person caused purity police anti whatever group targeting authors with abusive spam comment issue, congratulations you are terrible human beings and an absolute thundercunt.
If this is a web novel-esque ai generated spam issue— I guess ughhh but ultimately whatever. I have guest comments turned off anyway so it won’t affect me but jfc what a pain for other people. Glad we have a dedicated archive team working on it
So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
