Ok this is unrelated to the blog but what isn’t. This is cool!

Is it just me or are there other writers on their first book who have a dread of writing it becuade it’s almost a garuntee it won’t be successful? Like I love my book and I’m almost finished with the 500ish word chapter outlines (I’m 77 chapters in!!) and it’s all fleshed out and I’ve spent months on it but I keep thinking I’m going to spend the next couple years on this thing probably and then will it do me any goof financially? Will people enjoy it? How will it even get out there to be read? I already know I can’t send it to like friends and family because there drugs and sex and alcohal and a gay guy (not to mention the other world orcs and fighting and magic stuff isn’t really there style). I’m not even pursuing this as a career so I shouldn’t feel bad about it not getting popular but still!

Does anyone have any tips on really creating a character? Currently I’ve got a book I’m writing but I’m starting by doing chapter summaries and then I’m ganna back and really write but for some reason I just don’t really feel who my characters are yet. If you have any tips it would be greatly appreciated.

I love how Jake in Brooklyn 99 started the show by being embarrassed by the fact that he called Holt dad, but by season 4-5 he completed accepted the fact that Holt and Kevin are his adopted dads.
