꒰ 1. ꒱ well, honestly.. they don’t blame the acrobrat. you’re stunning — eyes like jewels and a voice like smooth honey, but you’re dating them.. and even if your relationship wasn’t out for everyone to know.. they both felt sick, to the stomach, with jealousy. xie was quiet with his, though. polite, refined, and all smiles whenever mike got too close or held your touch for a little too long. he would hate the acidic feeling burning in his throat, but he would never complain about it. fan would be more cutthroat, knife-like in a way you never saw. more irritated and harsh with his actions and words.. and just like xie, he wouldn’t mention it — however, petty comments? he would be absolutely repulsed to know that mike would have ran across the map to save you from getting sent back to the manor.

꒰ 2. ꒱ “he’s not an object, wujiu.” xie cries out, rubbing his temples in an attempt to calm down the upcoming headache. fan knows this.. he knows this well. you are your own person, of course. he respects you, but he isn’t in the mood to listen to the same words xie repeats whenever mike makes it clear he’s interested in you. “i know,” fan snarls — but he doesn’t mean to! he doesn’t even want to be in a shitty mood because of someone so insignificant, but he feels shitty.. so, so shitty.

꒰ 3. ꒱ their lack of communication results in a consequence. mike comes close, bringing you in and looking at you as if you were starlight. it was just a normal night, filled with a clear view of the constellations and moon, but he seemed more nervous; blueberry eyes slightly shaking and his lips trembling. “hey, [ ].” his fingers traced small shapes on the balcony, blonde hair curling around his face in a small, messy heart-shape. “you’re really cute.” his voice is light-hearted, unwavering and dripping in the confidence you heard when he just stunned a hunter. it’s a step up from how nervous he was, but it’s playful. amusement is laced in his words and you can tell, so you don’t say anything — you don’t have to, really. mike is playful, bright and always moving — like a sunflower in need of its sun. however, before you even got the chance to reply, the guards have already spotted you. their eyes are wide, surprise evident on their gray faces, but then there’s an awful bitterness in the way they tense.

꒰ 4. ꒱ after that, you confront them on their jealousy problem and they confront you on letting mike flirt with you.

꒰ 5. ꒱ all is well, don’t worry. you end up laughing when they say he was flirting with you, though. mike? mike morton? it’s a funny thought, but you don’t entertain yourself with the idea of ever dating him. “i already have you both.” your voice is quiet and soft, lullaby-like in a way that it makes the guards relax. there’s relief, obviously — but they trust you. they always have, but it’s annoying to see other people flirting with their boyfriend.

꒰ 6. ꒱ to make it short, xie isn’t one for jealousy. he has always been kind, overwhelming with the warmth he brings and how soft his touch is. he is calm and receding, like the sea before a storm. there are days where he pulls you in close, mumbling something in his native tongue and apologizing if it was too sudden or quick. “i want to be close with you, [ ]. sorry.” he would press a quick kiss to your forehead, but not before asking if he can.

꒰ 7. ꒱ fan is jealous and he shows it, even if he tries his best to conceal it. he respects you and always will, but his irritation let’s him slip-up with his words and actions. he has enough respect for himself not to lash out, believe him — but it will not stop him from scoffing out loud or rolling his eyes. he knows when people have an eye for you, he can see it. he will wrap his arms around you, making sure you’re always close or nearby.

꒰ 8. ꒱ they’ve never had anyone (romantically) except each other, so forgive them if their pride doesn’t allow them to healthily communicate with you. they’ve known each other for as long as they could remember and even after death, they have some things they need to work on.

꒰ 9. ꒱ you’re their boyfriend and they love you.. very, very much, so after you come out with your relationship to the rest of the manor — they will show it, wherever they are. (and purposely tunnel mike, only stopping when you ask them to.)

꒰ 1. ꒱ at first, he would think it’s a little silly. you? of all people? and him? well, it would make him chuckle a bit.

꒰ 2. ꒱ he has never experienced being camera shy; after all, he is a photographer.. capturing the perfect moment and timing something that could be a masterpiece, is something that comes naturally.

꒰ 3. ꒱ when you first shy away from the camera, he is taken aback. shocked, but not offended. he laughs, clear-blue eyes wide with anticipation and interest. however, his expression remains neutral.. and he doesn’t stare. his fingers trace the lens a second too long, though.

꒰ 3. ꒱ joseph is attentive, though. he’s had to be. he would notice the way you hide yourself behind oversized clothing and the way you accept little to no compliments.

꒰ 4. ꒱ and at first, he wouldn’t say much. he’d figure you wouldn’t like it if he brought it up suddenly, so he would pull you close and mumble praise in french and your native tongue. there’s genuineness in the way he touches you, especially with how he pulls you in and closes the gap between you two. “.. you’re so handsome.” it’s quiet, but it’s loud enough to hear and it makes your face cherry-red.

꒰ 1. ꒱ i see them as taking dates very seriously. courting someone isn’t easy, especially if they like that person & want only the best for them.

꒰ 2. ꒱ xie would be very lighthearted. he’s warm to the touch and he would remind you of summer nights, lavender, and being kissed under the moonlight. he’s the type of guy to ask before doing something. affection is something that comes easy, but he wants to know his boundaries more than anything.

꒰ 3. ꒱ fan isn’t as open with affection. he reminds you of sunsets, cinnamon, and looking at constellations on a moonless night. he’s sharp and straight-forward. he would deny physical contact, preferring to show you he likes you through different ways. however, actions speak louder than words. he would love to hold your hand, trust me.. he’s just not used to the idea.

꒰ 4. ꒱ when you’re with the both of them, everything is balanced. xie would tend to you, gentle and patient. his voice is soft and his words are like velvet wrapped in a big, red bow. fan, on the other hand, wouldn’t say things as lovely as xie. he shows he loves you through small gestures. he gives you a napkin to wipe off your hands, brushes off the dust from your collar, and tenses whenever you’re near. love doesn’t come easily for the both of them, but they try. you all do.

꒰ 10. ꒱ you asking them out on a date would always be an automatic yes. they make time for you & make sure to include you in everything they do.. whether it’s labeled as a “date” or not. brewing tea, playing games, etc.

꒰ 11. ꒱ after your first date (alone) with xie, he would be slightly nervous. he wouldn’t show it, though. he has always managed to compose himself.. even when he doesn’t want to. you let him know it’s okay, though. that you enjoyed it and that you see him as something more than a friend. and well, his face is flushed and he breaks.. just a little. that calm demeanor nearly vanishes and he smiles, lovestruck & heart almost feeling as it was beating. he cups your face and leans in, asking you if it was alright if he could kiss you. he probably didn’t realize it, but you’ve made him feel like he was something more in those few moments.

꒰ 12. ꒱ fan is nervous.. and it shows. there’s new insecurities when it comes to new relationships and it shows with fan wujiu. yes, he’s composed — and as strict as ever, but you see the little mistakes that let you know how he truly feels. a part of you finds it endearing.. and then there’s another part that wants to kiss the daylights out of the man sitting in front of you. there’s a scowl on his face, but his ears are red and he’s quiet.. not saying much. you grab his hand, intertwining your fingers together. he’s tall, but your sureness in how you feel is something that overshadows that. “may i kiss you?” .. that was all it took for you two to become something more.
