Happy Birthday Louis the Red Deer!  

I was never really Happy with this picture, so I figured Louis’ birthday would be the perfect opportunity to make a few changes to it, and clean it up a little!  Nothing major, but some of these fixes were super necessary!  Like how in the original photo the cast shadow from the car didn’t match the direction of the light source.  Yeah, I goofed up pretty hard on that one...

After his father moved his business's headquarters to a new town in the Kanto region, Louis decides to get into the local racing scene.  Armed with his Mazda rx-7, Louis took to mountains, running the passes with ease.  However, when a mysterious local racer shoots past him pulling off daring drifts with frighteningly accurate lines in nothing but a beat up old '86, Louis feels the need to investigate.  So far none of the guys in the scene have heard of this driver who appears out of nowhere like some kind of a ghost.  Although, there are rumors of an old Trueno 86 parked outside of a nearby tofu shop run by a friendly yet reclusive old komodo dragon...

This time it’s a quick little one-shot based on someone else’s AU. I’ve been reading The Truth About Love by @seventhfracture and it’s such an adorable and fun little Lougosi AU, I had to do a little side story. Legosi is struggling with writer’s block for the album they’re trying to record, and Louis wants to be supportive. Ibuki and Melon decide to take their new protégés out for a little relaxing karaoke night, and Free is just a disaster.

Beastars Fanfiction: Parasocial Relationships ch14 - Proof That We’re Alive

So, I barely ever use my Tumblr, but maybe I should start putting my new fanfic chapters up here. During this wild and absurd time of lockdowns and quarantines and (for me) unemployment, my bored and restless brain needed something to fixate on, and turns out it was Beastars. I’ve written about 170,000 words of fanfiction since the end of October.

Right now my big ongoing story is Parasocial Relationships, which is an AU based on a prompt from the excellent @doopcity. 

The prompt was: “ Legosi is a Zutuber who shows off his bugs and terrariums and other such things. Louis finds him randomly looking for calming vids to fall asleep to and they work like a charm. After months of watching and listening, Louis has grown attached even if he doesn’t want to admit it. Legosi’s roomies convince him to do a face reveal at 500 subs, which he agrees to, and one day it’s reached Louis doesn’t have any hopes going in, but his heart is still pounding. The video starts out like normal, with just Legosi’s hands in view, but then he turns the camera around and that is how Louis falls hopelessly in love.”

And I’ve been writing it ever since. It was originally going to be a short little story, but the more I wrote the fluff between Louis and Legosi, the more I wanted to write. I realized recently that I’m also just writing a bunch of stuff I want back in my own life. Going shopping for clothes! Going to a bar with friends! Anyway.

Chapter 14 just came out, and it’s a bit of a milestone, because it’s the first time Louis and Legosi are comfortable enough to get a little naughty with each other! It’s a little awkward and unsteady (as first times so often are).
