Yeah, I’ve gone on hiatus. 

It’s a mix of lost inspiration, diving into an old fandom, and just not... receiving feedback on what I’ve written. I’m burnt out.

I’ll come back eventually, I always do, but for now, c’est la vie.

Writing fanfiction is cool, until you realise you are writing the fanfiction that you wish you could read, meaning that you can't experience the pure joy of reading a fanfic you have been dying for.

This is going to the last one, so I don’t spoil the stuffs. 

‘Eyes were the windows to the soul’ was never truer than with Hal Jordan.

Hal always teased you about it, after you had told him one night several months into your relationship where everything was new and exciting.

“Get lost in my eyes again, gorgeous?” Hal was grinning like the Cheshire Cat, his voice lowered in a teasing tone. His hands slipped under your shirt and rested on your waist, thumbs tracing patterns on your skin. Warmth seeped into you.

You smiled. “Don’t I always?”

Hal murmured something you didn’t catch, resting his forehead against yours. Your fingers came up and pulled with the baby hairs at the back of his neck. You both stood there a long time, just breathing.

Hal closed his eyes and listened to you. When you started hiccupping, he got up and knelt in front of you, hand on your shoulder. “Breathe, baby, breathe.”

“I hate this.” You sobbed, looking at him with watery eyes, “I hate what we’ve became. It was so good before, Hal.”

“Lookin’ good, gorgeous, did you do something with your hair?” Hal pressed his nose into your hair, inhaling, and whispered, “I missed you, dear.”

You didn’t let go of him, arms and face tight to his neck. “I missed you more.”

Hal grinned, kissing the side of your head. “I missed you to the end of universe and back.”

It hurt, sitting in a half empty apartment. Hal hadn’t noticed just how much it had felt like home with you there until you had left. He stared at the empty space above the television where a cat clock used to be. If Hal stared hard enough, he could see the outline of it still. He had always said he hated that clock when you had gotten it as a gift for your birthday; Hal thought he missed the cat clock because it was such a you thing.
