On such a hot day like today, it was only natural for you to wear something to suit the occasion.
Many people would often call your normal dress wear modest. They weren't wrong, being the partner of an esteemed man like Ayato meant you had to keep up appearances as well. And while you did keep up the persona of a respectable, all dresses, and powerful leader, today you just had to dress down a bit.
You walked out of the estate and into town wearing something that revealed a lot of skin. The fabric of your attire was light, appropriate for today. It hugged just the right parts of your body perfectly and let any spare cool breeze hit your exposed skin.
Everyone complimented your outfit, taking notes of the colors and prints that covered your body. You were a trend setter after all.
While everyone had a positive reaction to your attire, Ayato's was bewilderingly unexpected. He was in Inazuma city on a business affair, not planning on running into you. You were standing right outside of Yae Publishing House, browsing a few titles; completely ignorant of the malicious stares that were coming your way from a few strangers.
Although, your boyfriend had noticed. Ayato quickly excused himself from the conversation he long lost all interest in and made a beeline to where you were standing.
You didn't notice your lover until an arm draped slowly over your shoulders. Ayato pressed a kiss to your temple in greeting. You crane your neck to be met with adoring eyes of ocean blue.
"Hello darling," Ayato pulls you closer to him. Too close, inappropriate for public appearances. "I wasn't expecting to run into you here, what are you browsing?"
While you begin to begin to show Ayato the books you were debating between, his sharp gaze turns around to give a death glare at the previous losers who had the nerve to be checking you out shamelessly. Wether they didn't see Ayato, or simply decided to make the foolish decision of ignoring him, the people didn't shift their gaze one bit.
Ayato moves to stand directly behind you. He rests his chin on your shoulder, moving an arm to take a book out of your hands. "This one looks interesting. Buy as many books as you desire darling, put them under the Kamisato tab."
Your cheeks start to heat at how close his body is pressed to yours. You had to fight your mind to find words. "S-sure. Thank you."
Ayato pulls away from your back that now was flaming with more heat from before—and it wasn't from the weather.
This was highly inappropriate to be showing this much pda, but you couldn't find it in you to protest.
"One more thing before I go my dear."
You raise your eyebrows and look up at him, cheeks still aflame. "What's that?"
Swiftly, Ayato rests his hands on the wall behind you, entrapping you. You were shielded away from the public eye. Your body somehow felt smaller under Ayato's eyes and towering figure.
He dipped his head closer to your ear, pressed a feather light kiss against your lobe before whispering, "You should wear outfits like these more often, but only for me, hm?"
There was a soft heated teasing in his voice, causing you to smile a bit over the storm of butterflies in your stomach. If Ayato waited a second longer to move, you're sure you would've exploded.
He took ahold of your hand and raised it to his lips to place a goodbye kiss. "I'll see you at home. Don't dwindle for too long."
He parted with a final wink, leaving you to your own thoughts.
Kamisato Ayato would be the death of you.
