I have so much homework to do and I’m kind of too tired/demotivated to do it, but if I don’t do it now it won’t get done in time 🫠 I just want to go home and sleeppppp

heyyyy tumblr dot com. How is it that I have some days where every time I eat it makes me feel mildly tipsy/extremely nauseous? All I’m doing is eating chicken and rice soup that I’ve had before with no issues and I feel so ill???

#I’m sorry I just have to vent for half a second because I’m so over this #it makes my arfid harder to deal with #it’s been happening for days but today was worse #I think a lot of nausea is more stress related but then why does eating make me feel kind of tipsy #like ???? #pretty sure it isn’t food poisoning because this happens every now and then #and I don’t have enough food poisoning symptoms #a google search is saying dysautonomia and celiacs can cause this. I’m not diagnosed with either but I very likely have some type of #dysautonomia—hoping to do a tilt table test in a few months #but yeah I’m really prone to fainting or almost fainting #can stress make dysautonomia worse? #anyway. whatever. I gotta figure out how to finish this soup

I’m sorry you’re dealing with that :( hopefully you can get some sleep tonight! My cycle is being crazy too. I’ve had some appointments and bloodwork and still can’t really figure out what exactly is causing it to be so irregular but I’m really hoping I figure it out soon because it’s making my normal fatigue wayyy worse :/ and emotionally it feels like a rollercoaster all the time

I love the feeling of being in hyperfocus after an extended period of struggling to be focused at all. I've been really struggling to write a paper for weeks and I just now started to actually get in the zone with it, and I also happened to get an idea to incorporate into a fic I'm working on that I've had some writer's block with. It just feels so nice because being unable to focus/progress with my writing has been so frustrating

Peter secretly knows a ton of languages and surprises the other xmen during a mission when he can translate stuff for them xD

Peter Maximoff with an accent (Polish? Magda Eisenhardt was born in Poland) but he puts on an American accent (like James McAvoy with the English accent).

No one knows until one of these scenarios:

1. he stubs his toe and starts cursing in at least 3 different languages

OR

2. not long after moving into the mansion he falls asleep on a sofa in the afternoon, wakes up after dark, and stumbles into the kitchen asking what year is it in a heavy Polish accent

I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but intrusive thoughts are basically your brain’s (sometimes very upsetting) way of saying “If there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock would that be fucked up or what?”

I’ve personally found that adding the “would that be fucked or what?” part in myself really helps put the more disturbing thoughts we sometimes get into perspective. Helps me say “yeah thar sure would be fucked up” and move on with my day.

It’s not a secret desire, it’s not something that only occurs to you because you’re a bad person. It’s just your brain deciding to process the fact that it knows an uncomfortable thing exists in the world by feeding it to you in an absurd “what if” with you as the main character.

#got diagnosed w OCD last week after yearssss of symptoms. kinda relieved and kinda like 'great :( even more ways my brain doesn't work' but #at least now i can start treating it and hopefully have the symptoms not be as bad!! #ocd is the worst #actually ocd

ugh, imagine if we'd gotten a quicksilver tv show circa 2015. IMAGINE

I posted a similar link yesterday, but given all the recent articles about this, I think this may actually be happening (I’m usually very skeptical). It makes sense to use Quicksilver, he’s been so very “meme- able” since they unveiled his look in January. I just don’t know how that could work with Evan Peters already doing another tv show.

My big hope for me is that all this increased tv / movie exposure would lead to Quicksilver getting bigger roles in the comics. I have my fingers crossed.

I'd never thought about how him just moving really fast---not even touching anything nearby, just running---could totally destroy stuff around him because of the air being displaced. That's so cool! I'll have to see how I can fit this into a fic without him being so overpowered that the fic ends in two seconds...

Here’s a video I found. It talks about something that bugs me about the way Quicksilver’s power is depicted in every media: Quicksilver should be a ton more powerful if writers thought a tiny bit about physics. I see a lot of fans saying they want Quicksilver to have a “power upgrade” and go faster. He doesn’t need to go faster. he just needs to have his power depicted more accurately. 

A guy running around at the speed of sound would create a TON of damage, just from displacing the air around him.
