One more pic before I go. This is a picture of my best man, mine, and one of my other groomsmen (he's the one I'm closest too besides my best man essentially)'s wedding bands. It was an idea I'd floated before things got started and the chance presented itself. The photographer got a great shot of it for us. IDK why but this pic means a lot to me.

Also, looking at this, I'm realizing just how huge my wedding band actually is lol. Maybe I should've gone a little smaller. But nah it's mine and I love it.

BTW, my vows were great and everybody liked them, especially her. I mentioned a few lines of it to my best man the night before and he said they sounded perfect.

I only had to stop due to crying/being choked up 3 times lmao. This is why my best man was clutch that day

Oh, and after the reception, my best man and his wife asked us to stop by their suite real quick. We assumed they just had a little something to give us in private or something.

Well, we weren't entirely wrong. Because my best man and his wife decided that I hadn't cried enough that day and they asked us to be their newborn daughter's godparents (she's 7 weeks old and adorable). I was immediately tearing. I think my wife was in a bit of shock because she wasn't expecting it. But it's funny because about a week or two prior I had been talking with her about who their child's godparents may be and I wonder if it would be me. And then it happens. And with all my emotions already that day and being quite drunk at this point, it was a lot. But in the best way.

What a gift at the end.

So, one thing that was super cool, is my best man became the ultimate hype man for both me and my wife while we were getting ready and once we were all together for first look and pictures. He also kept checking in on me, literally from when we woke up that morning in the suite and through the reception, just to make sure my nerves hadn't gotten the best of me and that I was holding it together. During the ceremony, he was especially clutch. A hand on my shoulder a few times and a quiet reminder to slow down and that I was doing great during my vows (we wrote our own vows FYI). My wife at our private dinner after the ceremony did mention that she felt like he was being a little extra, but once I told her that no that's what I needed and he was 100% responding to me, she thought it was sweet and appreciated that he could read me that well. He's an awesome dude and I was lucky to have him there. He definitely help me keep it together.

Hi friends. It's almost a week now since my wedding lol. We just started Friday and the wedding was last Saturday.

Everything went great. It was a giant, unforgettable, epic party/concert that we wanted in the Main Concert Hall of the House Of Blues in New Orleans with a fire 10 piece band. So many people told us it felt like they were seeing a show at HoB, not even at a wedding reception. Everyone had a blast. So, mission accomplished.

It was such a great time and weekend in general. I got to have time with friends/my party before and after the rehearsal dinner and still got a little bit of private hangout time with my best man before we finally had to pass out at 3:30 AM Saturday morning (we had to be up by 8:30AM to start getting ready...).

My best man gave an amazing speech at the rehearsal dinner. Made me cry multiple times, same with my wife. A lot of people told him after that it was one of the best best man speeches they'd ever heard. He really did kill it and gave a very heartfelt speech.

It was an amazing weekend and it was perfect.

Got excited about this again because we were talking about it tonight. Plus my best man is going to give me some help with making sure my hair looks good for the big day.

My fiance and I are doing something really cool the night before the wedding. She is she's staying in the bridal suite with her matron of honor and I'm staying in the groom's suite with my best man. So basically we get to spend the night before the wedding with our respective best friends. And I value that idea way more than I ever thought I would. It was her idea, too.
