February’s full Moon is a “Micromoon” this year. Think of this term as the opposite of a “Supermoon.” It simply means that the full Moon is at its farthest point from Earth (not the nearest point).
The explanation behind February’s full Moon name is a fairly straightforward one: it’s known as the Snow Moon due to the typically heavy snowfall that occurs in February. On average, February is the United States’ snowiest month, according to data from the National Weather Service. In the 1760s, Captain Jonathan Carver, who had visited with the Naudowessie(Dakota), wrote that the name used for this period was the Snow Moon, “because more snow commonly falls during this month than any other in the winter.”

Imbolc is a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of spring. Most commonly it is held on January 31 – February 1, or halfway between the winter solstice & the spring equinox. The holiday is a festival of the hearth, home, a celebration of the lengthening days & the early signs of spring.
The word "imbolc" means "in the belly" and refers to the pregnancy of ewes at this time of year. The term "oimelc" means ewe's milk. Around this time of year, many herd animals give birth to their first offspring of the year or are heavily pregnant & as a result, they are producing milk. This creation of life’s milk is a part of the symbolic hope for spring.
Imbolc is mentioned in some of the earliest Irish literature and it is associated with important events in Irish mythology. It has been suggested that it was originally a pagan festival associated with the goddess Brigid and that it was Christianized as a festival of Saint Brigid, who herself is thought to be a Christianization of the goddess.
Some use Imbolc to celebrate the longer days which herald the return of Spring & The Goddess's recovery from giving birth to The Sun (The God) at Yule. The God & The Goddess are children symbolizing new life, new beginnings & new resurrections.
Related festivals:
• Groundhog Day-  Is a tradition observed in the United States & Canada on February 2 of every year. It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day & sees its shadow, it will retreat to its den & winter will go on for six more weeks; if it does not see its shadow, spring will arrive early.
While the tradition remains popular in the 21st century, studies have found no consistent association between a groundhog seeing its shadow & the subsequent arrival time of spring-like weather.
•St. Brigid's Day- 1 February. It was originally Imbolc, the first day of spring in Irish tradition. Because Saint Brigid has been theorised as linked to the goddess Brigid, some associate the festival of Imbolc with the goddess. St. Brigid is the patroness saint (or 'mother saint') of Ireland. She is patroness of many things, including poetry, learning, healing, protection, blacksmithing, livestock & dairy production. In her honour, a perpetual fire was kept burning at Kildare for centuries.
A recent campaign successfully established her feast day as a national holiday in 2023.
• Chinese New Year- (February 10th) the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. In Chinese, the festival is commonly referred to as the Spring Festival,- marking the end of winter and the beginning of the spring season. Observances traditionally take place from Chinese New Year's Eve, the evening preceding the first day of the year, to the Lantern Festival, held on the 15th day of the year. The first day of Chinese New Year begins on the new moon that appears between January 21st & February 20th.
The Chinese New Year is associated with several myths and customs. The festival was traditionally a time to honour deities as well as ancestors. Within China, regional customs and traditions concerning the celebration of the New Year vary widely & the evening preceding the New Year's Day is frequently regarded as an occasion for Chinese families to gather for the annual reunion dinner.
It is also a tradition for every family to thoroughly clean their house, in order to sweep away any ill fortune & to make way for incoming good luck. Another custom is the decoration of windows & doors with red paper-cuts and couplets. Popular themes among these paper-cuts and couplets include good fortune or happiness, wealth & longevity. Other activities include lighting firecrackers  & giving money in red envelopes.
•  Candlemas- is a Christian feast day on February 2nd commemorating the presentation of Jesus at the Temple. It is based upon the account of the presentation of Jesus in Luke 2:22-40.
While it is customary for Christians in some countries to remove their Christmas decorations on Twelfth Night, those in other Christian countries historically remove them after Candlemas. On Candlemas, many Christians also take their candles to their local church, where they are blessed and then used for the rest of the year.
•Setsubun- (February 3rd) Is the day before the beginning of spring in the old calendar in Japan. The name literally means 'seasonal division', referring to the day just before the first day of spring.
Both Setsubun & Risshun are celebrated yearly as part of the Spring Festival (Haru matsuri ) in Japan. In its association with the Lunar New Year, Setsubun, though not the official New Year, was thought of as similar in its ritual & cultural associations of 'cleansing' the previous year as the beginning of the new season of spring. Setsubun was accompanied by a number of rituals & traditions held at various levels to drive away the previous year's bad fortunes & evil spirits for the year to come.
Other Celebrations:
• Lupercalia-
In ancient Rome, this festival was conducted annually on February 13th through 15th under the superintendence of a corporation of priests called Luperci. The origins of the festival are obscure, although the likely derivation of its name from lupus (Latin: “wolf”) has variously suggested connection with an ancient deity who protected herds from wolves and with the legendary she-wolf who nursed Romulus and Remus. As a fertility rite, the festival is also associated with the god Faunus.
to purify the city, promoting health & fertility.
Each Lupercalia began with the sacrifice by the Luperci of goats and a dog, after which two of the Luperci were led to the altar, their foreheads were touched with a bloody knife & the blood was wiped off with wool dipped in milk; the ritual required that the two young men laugh. The sacrificial feast followed, after which the Luperci cut thongs from the skins of the sacrificial animals & ran in two bands around the Palatine hill, striking with the thongs at any woman who came near them. A blow from the thong was supposed to render a woman fertile.
In 494 CE the Christian church under Pope Gelasius I forbade participation in the festival. Tradition holds that he appropriated the form of the rite as the Feast of the Purification (Candlemas), celebrated on February 2, but it is likely that the Christian feast was established in the previous century. It has also been alternately suggested that Pope Gelasius I replaced Lupercalia with St. Valentine’s Day, celebrated on February 14th, but the origin of that holiday was likely much later.

Wise Ones 👀
Anyone come to mind who is highly opinionated, has haunted eyes and a somber presence? Their know-it-all crap can be so very annoying but often times they have a clue as to what they're rambling about. They feel strange and unusual but that's 'cause they are and they're ok with that. The darkness of the world doesn't put a damper on their parade because they've seen ...a lot through the years. Because of this, they might have issues around the heart. These souls have looped around the cycle of life for eons. It's best for them to study ancient things such as Wicca, Paganism, shamanic, astrology... they like wearing long flowing things, maybe in dark colors.

StarPeople ✨
Know anyone whose shy, sensitive, and horrified by violence? They might be a starperson. Their main focus is to tell themselves and the world to keep calm and play with technology. They love random acts of kindness. They're usually in their own world so it'll be a task getting to know them.

Elementals 🍃
Oh, the fiery Elemental. They're the partiers, they like to have a good time, they're usually the life of the party. Can be loud, opinionated (nothing wrong with that) and will usually, if you like them, have you rolling with laughter. But they can be quiet at first, or just maybe have a quiet side. They love anything to do with nature. Often prefer nature to people. They're usually the ones with a pixie face, slim build, and who act like they've had four cans of Monster. Know any? I do.

INCARNATED ANGELS 👼🏾
Think of the one who wants to put a bandaid on everyone (metaphorical and literal). Very sweet, sensitive souls who you just want to protect. They're the shoulder to cry on, the very trustworthy one. They also want to fix those with addictions and will often marry them. They always want you to be happy. They may have blond in their hair, have a heart shaped face, and maybe even carry a little extra weight. Know someone like this, or are you?

Have you done any work regarding victory in court? High John is a great +court root... and I don’t mean to get your John high
Also, if you do a sweet jar, consider adding loosen the purse powder to it—tho it is targeted at the judge the powder is 1. Regarding money matters and 2. Meant to encourage generosity without question from a typically stingy source (a court could be seen as being stingy in that they don’t give $$ out)
Carry bistort in a yellow flannel bag when you go to court
Prior to court bathe in Love age root
Mix black candle tobacco and salt, burn with a black candle carved with your case number to win your court case
Burn galangal 14 days prior to court & store the ashes in a green flannel bag, take it to court with you
Put woodruff in your left shoe
To add to a sugar jar tho, add basil—it changes luck—tansy, senna and skunk cabbage
I would also add the powder as I previously stated, would also add rosemary and butterscotch candies cause they look like gold coins
I have found if you place more than one in the jar, it helps if they are related—not by blood, but for instance, all involved in a social circle or an event that you’re directing. For a court case involving a judge and a bank. I would do separate jars as over the course of the case, their interests or treatment may become different and you may need to address them differently

A mirror box is good for binding and sending the harm and negativity they are causing you...back to them. It will stop them from causing future harm.
You are going to need mirrors for all sides of the box. They need to be unused. It is very important you do NOT catch your face in the mirror. You do NOT want to look into the mirrors. If so, you cannot use them.
If you cant find mirrors then use foil but dont catch your reflection in the foil. I used both. You can also break a mirror into smaller pieces. Make sure you cleanse the mirrors and foil of previous energies with sage, palo santo, ammonia florida water...or however you cleanse things. You can cleanse the box with sage, or palo santo smoke.
You are going to glue foil and/or all the mirrors in the box including the top.
Now, you can make a baby doll for your target or targets. If not, then use their picture. Here, I used black yarn to bind them so they will leave me alone. And then put them in the mirror box.
Another alternative is adding a poppet aka a baby doll for the target or a picture. You can add reversing, crab powder, sulfur, destruction powder, Dume, goofer dust, red pepper, knot weed, spanish moss, licorice root, calamus and/or crossing powder. This is if you want them to suffer even more and send their shit back to them.
Lastly, you are going to say something like (targets name) I have bound you. Any trouble you have caused me will stop now. Any trouble you cause me in the future will be sent back to you.
Now you can bury it at a cemetary and ask a spirit to hold this person down.
Or you can bury it in an abandoned area far from you like a field or some place away from you where it will not be dug up.
Edit-make sure you do a cleansing/uncrossing work to remove the negativity this target has cause you. Also, you can do some protection work as well.

Shadow work and Entities .
The practice of the study of shadow can be related to the magic of chaos by creating one or more "demonic" entities based on the negative side of our psyche, on our fragmentations. I can, for example, create an entity on the backlash of anger, a phobia, a bad habit, a fault or revulsion, etc.
The aim is to work hand in hand with our entities by banishing them and to eradicate them from our psyche.
As human beings, we all have in us a cycle of light and darkness that we must learn to grow with.

How to find fragmentation’s with tarot .
For this exercise, it is best to take a tarot with strong symbolic imagery like the Marseille tarot or the Raider Waite. Also, be sure to have 1 or 2 hours for yourself, in a quiet space.
Step 1: Browse all the cards of your tarot, or simply the major arcana, separating those that make you happy, curious, indifferent, confident, from those that make you uncomfortable, sad, anxious, angry, disgusted, etc. You have to listen to your first impression and intuition, even if you don't know the reason for your emotion yet.
Step 2: Spend a moment with each card individually. Try to separate yourself from the symbolism known and shared by any tarot practitioner by only listening your own symbolic of each colors, shapes or actions draw on the card: your own symbolic will resonate better with your unconscious as it acts like triggers.
Step 3: Write down for each card how you feel, how the card resonates with you. Explore yourself and the card until you have nothing more to say. Do this exercise without thinking, write down everything that goes through your mind, while trying to find out a possible buried trauma.
Step 4: After going through all the deck in depth and sincerity with yourself, look for similarities, identical and contrary feelings that you wrote. Do you have only a problem with card that express authority? Only with male one? Do you feel unconfortable with the black color? Does it speak only about family? Your career? You should now have a small list of fragmentations that you can work on in the future.

Fragmentations
What are Fragmentations?
In my words, this is kind of an absent separation of the consciousness, a part that we want to forget.
During a trauma, large or small, each individual adopts a different behavior. Either we fight (F1) or we flee (F2). For some people, neither is possible, and the person freezes (F3), paralyzed.
This last reaction causes a fragment (F4), which means a fragmentation of consciousness towards the unconscious so that the personality of the individual can continue to live normally. The energy will therefore also be partly fragmented and found in fear of trauma, but also in each of the existing fragments.
These parts repressed in the unconscious/shadow, continually take our time and energy, without us realizing it. It is important to discover what are our biggest fragmentations because they are sources of antagonisms at the origin of many psychic conflicts.
How to find them?
In fact, it's pretty simple. A fragmentation potentially hides behind every moment when you have felt anger, fear, disgust, embarrassment, mistrust, etc. These emotions may be low or express themselves fully, in a particular or repetitive situation, with certain people, behaviors, or any other sensory stimuli such as images or sounds. We can also find them in our obsessions, dreams or fantasms and even into people on which we project all our shadow.

Shadow Work 👁
Shadow Work is the process of personal enlightenment through the exploration of our inner darkness.
The "Shadow" is a part of the psyche formed by the personal part of the being which doesn't know itself, and whose existence is often ignored. It is one of the main archetypes described by Carl Gustav Jung in his analytical psychology.
This exploration of our unconscious led to the discovery of the self, our inner light buried deep within ourselves. But before arriving at this light and wisdom, the explorer had to first meet the Shadow. It can be seen as our inverted twin, the one we could have been, but that we are not. This is our dark side, in which are the traits that could not develop in our personality.

Merfolk 🧜🏾‍♂️🧜🏾🧜🏾‍♀️ part 2
In Japan, this word for mermaid is ningyo. Yōkai is a gender neutral term for merfolks. The Yaobikuni is said to have ate mermaid flesh and lived for centuries.
Ravana, that appears in the Cambodian and Thai versions of the Ramayana, has a daughter named Suvannamaccha who is a golden mermaid. She is a mermaid princess who wanted to ruin Hanuman’s plan, but instead fell in love with him.
Mermaids are common throughout Africa. Mami Waters are water spirits known to be dangerous and to lure men to their deaths. They are seen in lore in central, southern and western Africa, in the Caribbean, and parts of North and South America. In Zimbabwe, njuzu is their word for mermaids. They are solitary and control one body of water. Their personalities vary much like their human counterparts.
You are probably wondering how you can use merfolk magic in your craft. The energy of merfolk work best with sea, moon, love, and transformation magick. The best times to practice is during the full or new moon, Monday, and from 9 am to 12:00 am and 9 pm to 12:00 pm. Using the tides also increases the magick flow. Use the incoming and tides to draw things in like love, money, and success, and use the outgoing and low tides for banishing and cleansing.
You can use mermagick for power, strength, love, cleansing, banishing, and reaching into yourself. Even everyday spells can be enhanced with mermagick. Merfolk are amazing and wise creatures that and bristling with power. If you like working with other creatures to enhance your power, I suggest merfolk.

Merfolk 🧜🏾‍♀️🧜🏾🧜🏾‍♂️ Prt 1
Contrary to what you might believe, the first recorded merfolk was actually a merman. Mermen tended to dominate the lore at first. This merman was
Babylonian God Oannes. He had the form of a fish, but with his head underneath the fish head and his feet showing. Imagine it as a fish cloak. Oannes taught mankind science, arts, and wisdom.
The second God with a merfolk form was the Syrian Goddess Atargatis. She felt so shameful after accidentally killing her mortal love (the father of her child), she flung herself into a lake. Because the lake could not hide her beauty, only her bottom half became a fish. She was the goddess of fertility, the moon, and water. She was the most importantly worshipped Goddess in Syria at the time.
In a Greek Legend, Alexander the Great’s sister did not die, but was turned into a mermaid. If she find your ship, she will ask, “Is King Alexander still alive?” The only correct answer is, “He lives and reigns and conquers the world”
Quickly merfolk mythology spread around the world, and this time it was mainly female based. In British lore, mermaids are seen as bad omens and are believed to be able to swim in freshwater. In Ireland, Lí Ban was a women turned into a mermaid. A Ceasq is a term for freshwater mermaids in Scottish mythology, no stories have survived about them. Mermaids from the Isle of Man reportedly are benevolent and live in peace with the humans.
In Slavic mythology, Rusalkas are freshwater merfolk of spirits that died violently or untimely death (especially drowning). They are beautiful with pale skin and long green hair, and usually female. They appear after dark calling out to young men to lure them to their deaths.
The “Shanhaijing (Classic of Mountains and Seas), compilation of Chinese geography and mythology” mention merfolk several times. In Korea, a lot of regions have their own stories about merfolk. Geomun Island worshipped Sinjike as a goddess of the sea. She was a mermaid who would warn sailors of storms.

Völva 🧙🏾‍♀️
A völva is a woman who practiced witchcraft or shamanism in Norse culture. They are the Norse equivalent to shamans and witches. A Völva doesn’t just date back to Viking age but in reality dates back to around 2,000-3,000 years ago.
A Völva was a woman in Viking culture who practiced magic, which was known as Seidr, which basically means “to bind to.”
In the Norse society, the Völva held a very important role and would be very close with the leaders of her clan. The Völva could also be referred to as a seeress, and spiritual healer within society.
The Völva would tend to wear very brightly colored dresses. She could also be seen wearing a hat and gloves made from cat fur as cats were the preferred animal of clothing to the Vikings. She would also have a tall, beautifully decorated staff or wand.
In Seidr, the staff/wand was a very important part. The Völva would always be with her wand/staff and was the most important part of her craft.
The Völva could put herself in a trance and in this trance she would be able to communicate with spirits that were around her. She would sometimes sing a song to lure spirits towards her.
This ritual song had to be sung as beautiful as possible in order to gain the help of the spirits. If the spirits were satisfied with the song, the would help the Völva in successfully predicting the future or seeing the past

Goddess Laka ✨🍃
Laka is the Goddess who brings health to the sick; the one whose presence gives life. She is also known as the goddess of the forest and nature. Laka is the reverend as goddess of hula. She is also the wife, of the God Lono.
A hula dancer prays to Laka to hoʻoulu, or inspire her for a performance. The dancer and Laka become one in the dance. The dancer is the body—that which is moved. Laka is the inspiration—that which causes movement. Hawaiian scholar Mary Kawena Pukui says that Laka “ . . . is dancing through the dancer.” She explains the term “hoʻoulu ʻia” as a “surge of strength and control that gets a job finished. That turns an acceptable bit of work into a superior one.” Laka is what inspires the dancer to a better performance.
Traditional hula halau, often dedicate an alter or kuahu, in honor of her with offerings of very specific native Hawaiian plants. In hula protocol, the various Laka plants represent the divine qualities desired by students of hula. Some of the plants sacred to her are maile, lama, ‘ie’ie, palapalai, ‘ōhia lehua and kī. As the forest goddess, she also embodies the nourishing elements of light and rain

Moon Milk 🥛
ingredients
lavender
butterfly pea flower
chamomile
sugar
milk
First, put your pot of milk on a low heat while you prepare your ingredients. Add a handful per litre of milk of butterfly pea flower to your pestle and mortar. Grind until the flowers are a little more flaky and crumbly, this will make them infuse faster! Add one tablespoon of lavender to the mix, two tablespoons of chamomile too, if you need the extra boost of sleep. Next, add sugar to taste. I use quite a bit because I have a sweet tooth... Give then a little bash in the mortar and you’re ready for the next step!
Take your ingredients and add them to the preheated milk. Allow them to simmer until the milk is a beautiful blue colour and all the ingredients have been steeped- this will take around 10-15 minutes depending on how low your heat is. It should look something like this!
Pour your milk through a sieve into a jug to rid it of any gritty bits, & pour the infusion into your teapot or container! Be careful, it’ll probably be very hot & will hurt if you pour it down yourself (like I always manage to do).
Your moon milk is now ready to drink! I hope you enjoyed this simple little recipe I’ve thrown together... it always calms me down. I love small rituals like tea making and the like, it always sets my mind at ease. As always, do your research and tweak to your liking! 🤍
