Gavin harrumphed, “Then don’t, you royal pain in the ass.”

The prince pulled away slightly to look offended at his bethrothed, but he smiled as he noticed Gavin was red as a tomato, blushing from the declaration. “Do you really want me to stop falling for you, Gavin?”

Gavin flinched and buried his face against the prince’s chest, mumbling a muffled, “No.”

Richard chuckled, holding Gavin tighter against him.

“YOUR HIGHNESS WE’RE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF A BATTLEFIELD!!” Allen, Richard's second in command shouted as he swung his sword to fell his foe.
