Keith is prone to jealousy

It's not an emotion he likes, but it is one he knows well

He became familiar with it when he started dating you

Before he dated you, the worse emotion he felt/had to deal with was anger, so he was surprised by this icky feeling

It took him a while [And a talk with Shiro and possibly Hunk] before he realized that it was jealousy that he was feeling

Oh god, how can one person make him feel something so intensely?

He hates it, but the love he feels for you always swells his heart, so he'd go through with the jealousy just for the love that comes after

He already feels like he's not good enough, especially for someone as great as you, so when he sees someone hitting on you, it hits a nerve

He has a whirlwind of emotions and doesn't exactly know what to do with them

Either he scoffs and looks away, ignoring you and being petty all night

Or he goes over and gets really passive aggressive with the person and if they don't get the hint he will get aggressive

Anger boils over him, surpassing every other emotion in his body

Don't ask him about his jealousy or call him out on it, because it'll start a fight

You have to wait for him to calm down and be reassured that you still love him

He's mad that he's mad, because he knows you would never leave or cheat on him, but he knows that you're the type of person that everyone wants

He will feel better later, because the person who was flirting with you will go 'missing'

Inspired by the Tiktok where the girl accidentally bombs her dog with glitter

"Y/n, look what I found!"

You looked over at Lance who was holding a Party Popper in his hands excitedly. He was waving and towards you and you gave him a curious look.

"A Party Popper?"

"That's filled with glitter! Sparkles!"

You fiddled with Kosmo's hairbrush, pulling out his hair, dumping in it a bag. "What are you doing with it?"

You feel a thud on your head, causing a slight sting. You glare up at Lance, who smiled at you awkwardly.

"Sorry. Wasn't aiming for your head."

You bend down and pick up the Party Popper.

"I found them in a storage closet and I wanted to pop them. Everyone else is busy and I knew you'd enjoy it."

"You just want to pop them for fun?"

"Don't you?"

You looked down at Kosmo, who was looking up at you, giving you the 'This guy can't be serious.' You groan, before shrugging, "Fine. I guess I'll bite. But let's do it on hardwood floor; Glitter is hard to get out of plush things."

Kosmo and Lance followed you to the Dinning Room, where the floors were nice and hard.

"Okay, on the count of three."

"One."

"Two."

"Three!" You both popped the Poppers, before you hear a loud gasp.

"What?"

Lance covers his mouth as he rapidly points at Kosmo. You tilt your head, confused, before looking towards Kosmo. The dog was covered in glitter, wagging his tail happily, unbothered.

"What are we going to tell Keith?"

Lance shook his head, "I'm not telling him," He finger guns you, "You glittered, you tell him."

"What makes you think I did it?" You angrily pester.

Lance points to the ground near him, "Mine was blue. Yours was pink."

You frown, before turning away from Lance. We're going to have to clean this mess."

"We? There's no we." Lance adamently denies, but you quickly turns him, glaring.

"If you hadn't found the party poppers this never would have happened."

"So this is my fault?"

"Like most things, yes. I'd say so-"

The door opens and in walks Keith and Hunk. Kosmo was quick to run to his owner, jumping on him. Keith chuckled, before removing his hand and seeing it decked out in glitter.

"Wow, who threw a party?" Hunk jokes.

"Who got glitter all over Kosmo?"

You and Lance both look over at each other, before pointing at each other and yelling, "They did it!"

Kosmo just wags his tail, knowing not of what was going on. He was just happy to be a part of the group.

"Well, you're both helping me clean him."

"Both. I didn't do it! She did it! Pink," He pulls on your shirt, before gesturing towards his, "Blue."

"That doesn't prove anything. Circumstantial at best."

"Man you got to believe me." Lance practically begs, but Keith glared up at him.

"I have a feeling you did have something to do with this. Both of you. Come on, I guess we'll clean him now since I'm free." He gestures to the both of you, causing you both to slump, but follow Keith and his happy wolf-dog.

"Have fun you guys."

"Bite me," You groan at Hunk's joke, but he just laughs you off.

Strange Things

Summary: You are forced to go underwater to fix a hole in the bottom of the ship, but your eye catches sight of some strange things Translations at the end

You felt ridiculous. The people on the Cruise Ship were partying and relaxing, not knowing the potential danger they could be in. The captain had told you to go fix a massive hole under the ship and to do that you needed to assess the damage underwater.

You jumped in, with the ridiculous outfit, and began to swim under the moving boat. You were quick to spot torn metal and quickly swam over to it. When you got closer, you realized that it looked very much like claw marks.

You frowned, examining the damage before pulling out your camera to take pictures.

"Everything okay, Y/n?"

"There is some minor damage to the ship's lower deck, but it's an easy fix."

There was a loud banging sound causing you to freeze and look below you. It was dark, but you could see a fish-like thing moving. You clicked the light headset and started to swim lower. It was a bad idea, but not like you wanted to fix the ship to be honest.

You catch the sight of something blue, but before you can investigate your headset goes off again.

"What's taking you so long, Y/n? I thought you assessed the damage?"

You froze, before shaking your head, "Yeah, I'm coming up now..."

"That was close," Lance sighed, hiding behind a rock. He watched as you swam away, doing whatever you humans do. He knew Allura would be mad at him for watching the humans and getting way to close, but he couldn't help himself, and it seemed he wasn't the only one.

"Lance."

"It's not what it looks like," Lance held up his hands, trying to defend himself. But ultimately sighed when he saw that the Princess wasn't amused.

Pidge and Hunk hid behind Allura as she scolded the brown haired male. "What if she had seen you, Lance? You would be putting us ALL in danger." She gestures to the other merpeople who had been drawn by the commotion.

He groaned, looking away from her. "What are you so scared of? They're just humans." He crossed his arms and everyone gasped at his tone towards the princess.

She straightened her back and held her self high, "Exactly, they're humans. Selfish, Greedy, No good humans. They'll kill us all."

"You're just being dramatic," He remarks as he swims away, Allura watching him in anger.

You shook your head before heaving the tools behind you. You groaned, rubbing your head. You hated being on cruises when you were working, so many people on one tiny boat. It gave you shivers thinking about it.

You looked out one of the windows when you see a red tail and quickly rub your eyes before going out the window again.

"Mon Dieu! J'ai cru voir une grosse queue de poisson¹!" You shook your head, before heading off again. You go toward the engine room, and begin to work on the damages. "Ugh ça va être une longue nuit²..."

Keith hold his breath as he waited for the girl to leave. He had almost been caught and he knows he'd be a hypocrite if anyone found out what he was doing.

He looked back through the window to see that she was gone. He sighed and quickly swam away before he really did get caught.

Lance sighs, turning a fork over in his hands. He didn't know what the problem was, he loved the humans. They were so interesting and had such funny stories. He leaned his body onto a rock, not noticing the eyes on him.

"Lance..."

Lance quickly whipped around to glare at the perpetrators. It was his so called friends Pidge and Hunk.

"What are you traitors doing here?"

They both rubbed the back of their heads and sighed. They looked at each other, before swimming towards an angry Lance.

"We didn't mean to make you take the blame for you."

"yeah, we were totally going to tell her we were also there, but..."

"But what? You guys left me out to dry!"

"We're sorry, Lance. How can we make it up to you."

Lance thought for a moment, before his eyes widened, "I want to go on land!"

There was silence for a moment, before the two busted out laughing, which caused Lance to glare at them.

"Sorry Lance, we didn't mean to laugh, but be reasonable. We don't have legs, we have tails."

"There might be a way..."

They all looked back, surprised to see Keith. Then they looked at each other, "How?"

"The Witch."

"Keith, this is a really bad idea-"

Keith ignores Pidge, who was tweeting in his ear. Lance was far ahead of them both, excited at the possibility of getting legs and being part of the land world.

"Oh, what do you think it's like," Lance begins to fantasize about the world above. Little did they know, it was burning to ashes.

You watched as all the passengers left the cruise ship. You were ecstatic to finally get off the boat for a few hours. You liked the water and all, but it wasn't nearly as predictable as land. You walked down the towards the dock, but your captain called out to you.

"Y/n!"

You turned around, him giving you a dark look. You looked at him confused.

"Be back by 15 hundred."

You nodded and took off. You went to a nearby cafe that was on one of the docks and decided to take your break there. Or at least that's what you wanted to do, but you were intrigued by a group on the beach.

"We want legs!"

"Legs you say?" The banished Prince, Lotor, looked at the group, before swimming through his lair and finding a potion bottle. "I may be able to help you..."

The group watch Lotor swim around and drop things into his cauldron. There was lights and the mushrooms glowed brightly on the walls. The group huddled up over the cauldron and looked into the bright glowing liquid.

They then looked at eachother. Pidge, being the voice of reason, finally spoke.

"Guys, I don't know if this is a good idea..."

"Of course it is!" Lance exclaimed excitedly. He holds out his hand as Lotor hands him the bottle.

Lance then hands it to Pidge. "Well, what do I have to lose?" And then Pidge clugs, before tossing it to Hunk.

Hunk looked over at Keith, who was examining the bottle on the shelves.

"Hey, Keith, how about you take it before me?"

Keith turns around towards Hunk, before eyeing the bottle. "I don't know. I like my tail."

"I guess you'll never know what the human world is like," Lotor taunts. "Or that one person... Oh what's their name?"

Keith's fist clench at the mention of the girl he had not been spying on... well, maybe he did, but he knew that's what Lotor meant.

"Fine," Keith grabs the bottle and gulps it down, leaving a tiny bit for Hunk.

"I can't believe I let you guys talk me into this," Pidge groaned, trying to step over a rock, but ultimately falling.

"At least we're not naked."

"Bonjour? Est-ce que vous allez bien là-bas³?"

They looked towards the voice; Keith and Lance's eyes widen recognizing the h/c haired girl. You walked down the slippery sand and towards the clumsy group. They were holding on for dear life as they didn't know how to use their new feet.

"Peux-tu marcher⁴?"

They looked at you confused, before the tall, brown-haired male speaks-

"What?"

You shook your head, before going up to help them, "Are you guys okay?"

"Uh, yes. We've never walked before," The bigger male speaks.

"What does that mean?" you ask him confused, by the brunette quickly covers his champion's mouth.

"He's stupid. I'm Lance." The brunette takes your hand, shaking it hard, "That's Pidge and Hunk," He points to the big male and then the smallest guy, "And that grump is Keith. What's your name beautiful?"

"Y/n," You look Lance up and down, before rolling your eyes, "You're not from around here are you?"

"No," Pidge says, shaking their head. "Actually," Pidg steps towards you, "Where are we?"

"Are you ship wreck survivors? I know there was a crash up west-"

"Yes!" Pidge stands straight, but still leans on the rock. Infact, they were all leaning on the walk, like they didn't know how to stand.

"Well, we need to get you to a doctor, make sure you're okay-"

"No, it's fine. We'd really just want to... Uh," Pidge looks towards Lance, who had been insistent on turning into a human in the first place.

"We wanna get back home!" Hunk burst out and you're taken aback.

"Are you sure you can handle going on a ship after what happened?"

"Yes, nothing can stop our hopes and dreams-" Lance speaks but you interrupt him.

"Okay Patriot, I'll go speak to my captain, see what I can't do. Come on," You gesture for them to follow you.

They look at each other, before Pidge takes the first steps, trying to walk towards you, before falling. Pidge groaned, face full of sand. They reminded you of babies learning to walk.

"All that time in the water, you may need to sit down for a while." You went to leave but Lance calls out to you.

"No! She's just being dramatic-" He pushes himself off the rock and slowly walks towards you, the other's soon following. When Lance reached you he jumped, fist bumping the air, "Oh my god, I did it!"

"You walked?" You shook your head, but didn't speak anymore on it.

"They were adamant. I've never met people like them before." You look back at the group. Lance and Keith were fighting and Pidge and Hunk were trying to break them apart.

"Okay, make sure to keep them occupied."

The orange-haired male turned towards the blue-haired princess. "Not since you yelled at them a few hours ago."

"I just want to protect them, I wish they'd see that."

"I know you are princess, but... Well, they love an adventure."

"Maybe Keith isn't the right guy to send on this mission-" You cringe, when Keith turns towards you.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

You look away from Keith and down at your feet, whistling to yourself. "Nothing..."

"No, explain."

You laugh, "Well... Uh... What do you think I mean?"

"I think you're insulting me, I just don't know what about."

"Hunk-" You looked towards the wide eyed man.

"Oh, no don't drag me into this. You dug your grave now lie in it."

"Why can't I go on this mission?"

You clicked your tongue as you looked around the black lion. You had been in the lions before, but not when Keith was in the front controlling it. It was actually kind of hot and you couldn't look at him. He was just so powerful... You had to bite your lip from doing or saying something stupid.

You looked around the personalized lion. He really had 'Keith' up the lion. It was almost other worldly, because he had been so hesitant to take the black lion to begin with.

Keith watched you on one of the screens. He could feel his hands sweating up. Why were you looking around the lion? Were you judging him? Oh my god should he have taken down those pictures? He should have just gone with you in your lion.

He could feel the water drip from his forehead and he quickly wiped it. God, could you smell him? Is that why you were avoiding eye contact? Man... He was so sweaty. Keith felt an embarrassment overtake him. He had never wanted to push his face into a wall more in his life.

"Oh thank god we're here," You quickly stand up, causing Keith to look at you taken aback. You blushed, "I mean... That was such a long ride."

"It was 15 minutes?"

"Wow. Really? Crazy."

He ignores you, "Are you ready to see how emotional great I am?"

"Readier than I've ever been."

"Readier isn't a word-"

"Doesn't matter. Let's go," You gesture to the exit and Keith walks past you.

Lance always saw Keith as a competition, so this is no different

Keith being Keith doesn't know it's a competition he just knows he likes you, though he doesn't realize he likes you. He just knows that you make this fuzzy feeling erupt in his chest when you're near

Lance realizes Keith likes you and really ups his game

Lance will steal your attention from Keith and that's when Keith starts realizing something is wrong

He tries confronting Lance, but Lance just plays him off

"What? I'm not stealing Y/n from you. Why would you think that? Do you like them or something? Are you jealous?"

Keith thinks about it before a second, before glaring at Lance, "Yeah, I do like Y/n"

Lance is taken aback. Keith isn't a love kind of guy, so if Keith was realizing this now-

"So, I guess you have competition"

"I don't like Y/n," Lance is quick to deflect and Keith smirks at him

"Well, that's good, so you won't mind if I spar with her?"

"Of course not..." Lance could feel his eye twitch, but he wasn't about to give in the Keith

Lance internally groaned, wanting to facepalm. Now he was going to have to win you over with Keith realizing he [Keith] liked you

You're in the middle of a battle zone and you don't even realize it

Lance got you hurt once and Keith was super pissed. They had been fighting all day and you had gotten in the middle of it. Lance cut your hand open and you all were stuck in a cave

They were definitely freaking out more than you. You were worried about all the blood and they were yelling and you finally broke

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" You quickly cover your mouth embarrassed as they both look up at you. "I don't know what's going on between you two, but leave me out of it"

"Nothing's going on between us," Lance claims, with Keith quickly nodding his head

"Well, you guys have been acting weird-"

"Weird? Us?" Lance laughs, punching Keith, "Get a load of this, Keith"

Keith frowns, before frowning at Lance, "Yeah, you've lost me." He looks towards your hand, "We need to get your hand checked out, so it doesn't get infected." He grabs your hand and wraps it up

When you guys get back, you avoid them

If you see them around a corner, you quickly turn away

Keith knocks on your door and you do the whole "Nobodies here..." but Keith comes in anyway

"Hey... I'm sorry about what happened," He rubs the back of his neck

"Well, I'd hope you wouldn't feel good about it" You roll your eyes, rewrapping your wound

"Y/n- I-" But Keith can't do it... He just can't say it. The words can't leave his mouth no matter how much he wants. He wants to tell you his feelings, but he can't... Why can't he tell you he loves you? He just sighs, "I'll go..."

"Probably for the best" You roll your eyes and shake your head in disappointment

They couldn't stand you being mad at them, they'd have to come up with a way to get you to forgive them and everything be okay again

God this is so bad- I'm so sorry

You struggled against the restraints that held you on the podium. You glanced around, seeing Keith and Shiro tied next to you. There were people with stakes and torches, planning to kill you all.

"We will sacrifice the blue one first!"

"Oh, thank god. They're going to kill Lance."

"Keith!" Both you and Shiro yelled at Keith, who just yelled back 'What?'

"It's just Lance, who would really mind?"

"I would mind! I like Lance!"

"You want a man no one else wants? Really winning aren't you, Y/n?"
