I have to say though ppl have literally put copied art in their portfolio and also used it for client work and that is DIFFERENT. Using/copying someone else's artwork for career/promotion/commercial purposes is ILLEGAL and makes my blood boil.

why is tiktok recommending me shit abt how referencing off of someone else’s art is art theft. it is not. young artists just do that pretty heavily which can be awkward to see but its still not a crime and unless theyre actually tracing then i genuinely just do not care. they’ll learn as they keep drawing, stop regurgitating deviantart drama at me

i use the brushes from kyle t webster on photoshop - i think i usually use a belgian comic pen (i forget the name????) brush these days

Posting this a lil bit later than on my instagram - but my work visa has successfully been issued & I've moved back to NY a week ago! 

Thank you to all who have supported me and encouraged me to challenge myself and apply for the visa & helped me along the way. Although the times are very hard and weird, I'm gonna make the most out of the time left & work hard!

Added this fun tiger print up on my @inprnt shop - I edited it a bit to include the aspect of traditonal Korean smoke on the tiger because there's a saying "when tigers used to smoke" to say "long long time ago" and I think it's cool 🚬😎(not the smoking just the image of a tiger sitting like an old man and smoking lol) 담요 콘테스트에 만들었던 호랑이 그림을 프린트로 만들었어요. "호랑이 담배피우던 시절" 이라는 표현에 호랑이의 재밌는 포즈를 떠올리면서 수정해봤습니다 🐅⛰🌲🌲🌲✨🚬🐯

🇰🇷 오늘은 우리나라의 광복절입니다 (🇮🇳그리고 인도의 독립기념일이기도 합니다!). 1945년 8월 15일 - 평소에는 우리나라에게 이런 역사가 있다는것을 모를정도로 반복적이고 안정적인 삶을 살지만 사실 잘 생각해보면 1945년도 직전까지도 제 할머니 할아버지들의 부모님께서 청춘을 바쳐 살아온 세상이며 직시해야하는 현실였고, 제 할머니 할아버지들은 대한민국이 일본제국에서부터 해방되는것을 직접적으로 느끼며 자라왔을겁니다. 지금의 자유와 권리를 자연스럽게 누릴수 있게 된것은 개개인의 시민들과 수많은 독립운동가들의 노고가 있었기에 가능하다고 생각해요. Today is a special day for not just one but two countries that are close to my heart - 8.15.1945 National Liberation Day of Korea 🇰🇷, 8.15.1947 Independence Day of India 🇮🇳 If you think really hard about it, 1945 isn't a long time ago - my great grandparents lived through Japanese colonialism and the war and my grandparents lived through the aftermath of the war and the Korean independence.
