Hi friends so I haven't been posting a lot lately because I'm kinda crammed with schoolwork, but it'll be over in two weeks then I'll have a bunch of time to write AND I got a new laptop which means I lost all my stories that were in progress (which is kind of a blessing cause they were trash) so I've gotta start all over again But a new fic should be going up soon!! Thank you all for being so patient :)

Everything
THIS IS SO LONG
This is based off of the movie trailer for the ovie everything, everything which I’m very excited for
I had to change some stuff for the sake of the AU, so Kouyou is Chuuya’s biological mom and Mori is Dazai’s biological dad, Elise and Q his siblings.
Also had to make up some characters
Please enjoy :)
"Chuuya get up, it's morning." Kouyou greeted as she opened the full length curtain to reveal the glass wall. Chuuya groaned before sitting up and rubbing his eyes. "Get into something decent, the nurse is coming to check your vitals." She added before stepping out of the room. Chuuya sighed before throwing the blankets off his body and stepping out of bed, looking out the window at the outside world.
After replacing his pajamas with a pair of standard blank jeans and a white teacher with a pocket on the left side of the chest, he stepped out of his room and walked downstairs to the sick room. "Good morning, Chuuya." His nurse, Kira, welcomed.
"Morning." Chuuya sighed as he hoisted himself up onto the table and watched Kira prepare her things. She wrapped the blood pressure band around Chuuya'ls left arm and placed a heart monitor on his finger. She grabbed the thermometer, placed a plastic cover on it, and tapped Chuuya's chin. Upon instinct, he opened his mouth and closed it after feeling the little metal rod be placed under his tongue. After about 45 seconds, the machine beeped and the nurse removed the device from Chuuya's mouth.
"Alright, all your vitals are normal." She smiled. "You're done for today." She nodded as Chuuya smiled a bit and walked out of the room towards one of the glass walls. As he walked up, his attention was diverted by the moving truck nextdoor. He watched as the movers unpacked furniture and moved it into the home, a middle aged man accompanied by two smaller children directing them from her spot in the grass. Chuuya's eyes widened as a boy his age came into his line of sight. His tall body was wrapped from head to toe in white bandages, and his wavy brown hair framed his pale face perfectly. He turned towards Chuuya, his mahogany eyes locked onto Chuuya's deep blue ones. The taller one gave a small smile, which Chuuya returned a few moments later.
"Oh you see the new neighbors." Kouyou smiled to Chuuya as she walked up behind him and shared his view. "A single father with three kids. I commend him. Just being a single mother of one is hard work." Kouyou laughed a bit.
"Who are they?" Chuuya questioned, disregarding his mother's remark.
"The Osamu family. The father's name is Mori, then the oldest son with the bandages is Dazai, then his little brother Yumeno and little sister Elise. They're a nice family, I met them when they were looking at the house. I'm glad they decided to buy it, it's a lovely house." Kouyou finished as she tapped Chuuya's shoulder a bit before turning and walking towards the doorway.
"Mom," Chuuya called. Kouyou turned her head and raised her eyebrows at the boy. "Can I go with you to welcome them?" Chuuya pleaded. Kouyou laughed a bit.
"Oh honey, absolutely not. You'll get sick." She chuckled quietly as she walked out of the room. Chuuya sighed as he turned back to the window, making eye contact once more with the boy he now knew as Dazai. He placed his hand gently on the glass. Dazai smiled a bit and gave Chuuya a small wave before following his other family members into the house.
~~
Chuuya sat in his pajamas on the side of his bed and fumbled with the edge of his shirt. Gazing up towards the house next door, his eyes caught the sight of the new boy in a bedroom across from Chuuya's. He felt his face heat up as he met the sight of the new neighbor exchanging his clothes for more comfortable clothes. Chuuya quickly covered his eyes and turned away from the window, burying his face into the soft pillow. About five minutes passed before he sat up properly and looked back towards the window. He hesitantly gazed into the other room to see the sight of the brunet gazing into Chuuya's room. The gentle smile returned to Dazai's face, which Chuuya returned with a small wave. They stared into each other's eyes for what seemed like an eternity before it was interrupted by Kouyou knocking on the door softly.
"Chuuya go to sleep, the teacher is coming tomorrow so you need to be sharp." She smiled.
"Yeah I got it, thanks." Chuuya sighed as she gave a small nod and closed the door softly. Chuuya gazed back to the window across the street to find Dazai writing some numbers on the glass. Chuuya watched as he wrote out a phone number, which Chuuya quickly put into his phone.
~~
Chuuya sat on the familiar table with all the familiar medical mechanisms attached to his body. Chuuya sighed heavily as the thermometer was extracted from its place under his tongue.
"Alright, talk to me." Kira stated as she placed one hand on the table and looked at Chuuya, who gave her a confuesed look. "You've been staring out the window more often. More specifically, the new neighbor." He let out a small sigh before looking down at his lap.
"I wanna meet him so badly. Whenever I'm talking to him, I feel like I'm outside."  He explained. She sighed and rubbed her hands together. "But I'll probably never be able to meet him so what's the point in dwelling." Chuuya gave her a sad smile before getting off the table and stepping out of the room. He walked over to  the glass window where he first saw the new family and gazed out, his eyes landing on the sight of the teenaged boy playing with the younger children. Dazai looked at Chuuya, a smile gracing his features.
"Hey mom." Chuuya called out. Kouyou soon stepped through the door, giving her son a curious look. "I wanna meet the neighbors."
"Again with this? Maybe through the window." She laughed a bit. "You know the rules, honey. No going outside."
"How am I supposed to live my life when I'm stuck in this house?" Chuuya snapped.
"You're not going to have a life to live if you step out of this house." Kouyou retorted. "We aren't discussing this anymore. I don't want to hear any more of this 'going outside' talk." She commanded before stepping out of the room. Chuuya let out an exasperated sigh before slamming himself into the chair beside him. He looked back out the window at the sight of Dazai standing in the sun, smiling to Chuuya. Chuuya let a small smile grace his features.
~~
"Chuuya? There's someone here for you in the living room." Kira smiled as Chuuya slid off the familiar table. He gave her a confused look before stepping over to the other room quietly and hesitatnly turning the corner.
"H-hey." Chuuya stuttered. Dazai smiled a bit as he walked closer to Chuuya.
"You know, you look a lot better in person." Dazai smirked a bit.
"Shut up." Chuuya laughed.
"How come I've never seen you out of your house?"
"I'm sick. My body can't fight off infections, so if I go outside, I could die." Chuuya explained as he sat down, followed by Dazai.
"You can't live life by looking through glass." Dazai stated. Chuuya slightly nodded as he looked down at the tabletop in between him and the brunet. "Hey Chuuya, if you could go out and see the world, what would you see first?"
"Well," Chuuya paused. "I guess I'd go see the ocean." Dazai smiled at the redhead.
~~
Chuuya blinked his eyes open and sat up, hopping out of his bed and over to the curtains that hid his windows. He pulled them open, revealing pictures of all the oceans taped to the outside of his wondow. He admired every single photo until his eyes landed on a section of a piece of binder paper with writing on it. The note read 'Chuuya... every ocean deserves to be seen by you' in black sharpie. Chuuya smiled and tried to cover his blush with his hands. He walked out of his bedroom with a spring in his step and a smile on his face. He reached the top of the staircase and stopped when he heard his mother speaking with someone downstairs, her tone angry.
"That's not your decision to make, Kira. You brought someone unauthorized into this house. She could've gotten sick!" Kouyou shouted.
"He wanted to meet him. He's never had a friend before!"
"You overstepped your boundaries. You're fired. Please leave." Kouyou snapped. Chuuya gasped before retreating back into his room. He closed the door quietly and leaned back against it, sliding down until he was sitting on the floor.
He listened as he heard quiet footsteps come up the stairs. He quickly sprinted to his bed and pretended to be asleep as Kouyou opened his door. "I have to go out for a bit, Chuuya. I'll be back this evening." She closed the door softly and he sat up. He listened as he heard the front door close. He shot out of bed and changed his clothes and packed some clothes in a backpack. He stopped before grabbing a blank piece of paper and a pen.
'Mom, I have to do this. I want to go out and live my life, and I'm willing to give up everything, just for one perfect day. I'll never know if I'm sick if I don't do this.' He wrote. Slipping on a pair of standard ankle boots, he threw the bag over his shoulder, grabbed his phone, placed the note on the kitchen counter and ran out the side door of  his house and over towards Dazai's house.
"Chuuya what the hell are you doing? Go back inside you'll get sick!" Dazai stated, his voice dripping with worry as he ran out and met Chuuya on his front lawn.
"No! I feel fine. And besides, how am I supposed to know if I'm sick if I don't go outside?" Chuuya gazed up at him. Dazai smiled before quickly leaning down and cosing the space between the two. Chuuya didn't hesitate to close his eyes and melt into the kiss, his arms wrapping around Dazai's neck. They separated themselves, the space between them minimal. Chuuya smiled and let out a small chuckle. "Is it always like that?" Dazai smirked.
"It's never like that." He responded. He quickly pulled Chuuya into his own house as Dazai grabbed his keys. He kept pulling Chuuya until they were back outside and heading towards Dazai's black convertable jeep. "Get in." He smiled as Chuuya launched himself into the passneger seat and Dazai climbed into the driver seat. He started the car and began driving down the street.
"Where are we going?" Chuuya finally asked. Dazai glanced over at him and smiled.
"You said that if you could go outside, the first thing you'd see is the ocean. So guess where we're going." Chuuya bit his lip and smiled widely.
"I can't believe you." Chuuya blushed before looking down in his lap.
~~
"Come on Chuuya, it'll be fun." Dazai smiled as he pulled Chuuya by both of his hands towads the edge of the cliff.
"Dazai you're trying to get me to jump off a cliff." Chuuya retorted as they reached the edge. Dazai smirked before jumping off the rock. "Dazai!" Chuuya shouted as he rushed to the very edge and watched as Dazai fell before splashing into the deep blue water below. Chuuya laughed when he saw a familiar head pop out of the water.
"Come on! Jump!" Dazai shouted. Chuuya stood up straight and took in a beep breath. He exhaled before launching himself off the rock, screaming joyfully on the way down. He collided with the water, the warmth enveloping him and the oxygen disappearing. He propelled himself upwards and broke through the surface, inhaling the fresh air. He pused his bright hair away from his face and looked at Dazai, before they both broke into a fit of laughter.
~~
They walked slowly down the dimly lit street side by side, taking in the scent of the fresh air. Chuuya had a soft smile of his face and his eyes travelled all about. Dazai sighed a bit and glaced over at the shorter male, a small smile growing as he saw the smile on Chuuya's face.
"This has been, the most amazing day." Chuuya stated quietly, his eyes not leaving the stars. "Thank you." Chuuya looked over to Dazai. His vision blurred a bit and his head spun. Dazai's face melted into one of concern.
"Chuuya, are you okay?" He questioned. Chuuya stayed silent as his eyes closed and his body fell limp. "Woah Chuuya!" dazai shouted as he caught the other before he hit the ground. "Chuuya, come on wake up." Dazai pushed Chuuya's hair away and leaned dwon to make sure the redhead was still breathing. "I shouldn't have let you  step out of the house." He mumbled to himself as he pulled his phone from his pocket and dialed 911.
Soon the ambulance stopped in front of them, three medics rushing out and running to take Chuuya and put him on the stretcher. They pushed Dazai out of the way and tended to the smaller male, and all Dazai could do was stand back and watch as they lifted him into the ambulance. He caught one medic before they drove off.
"Can I go with him? Please?" He begged. The medic pursed his lips before stepping aside and letting him into the back.
"Just stay out of the way, kid." He responded as Dazai stood in the corner of the ambulance and watched the scene before him.
~~
Dazai stood in front of the glass, looking into the room where Chuuya lay still in the clean bed, his vibrant hair a stark contrast to the pristine white pillows. His breath was shaky as he lightly touched the glass.
"I'm so sorry, Chuuya." He sniffled and rested his forehead against the glass. "This is all my fault."
"Dazai." A voice spoke. Dazai glanced to the right to see Kouyou, her facial features showing no emotion. Dazai bit his lip a bit and closed his eyes. "You put my son's life at risk. You knew full well of the risks of him being outside."
"I know." He responded, voice hoarse and shaky. "I don't know how I could ever apologize to you. And him." Dazai added as he swallowed the lump in his throat. Kouyou rested a supportive hand on his shoulder.
"I know he cares about you very much, but I think it's best that you two keep your communincations to technology only. For his health." She removed her hand from his shoulder and stepped into the hospital room, returning to her seat beside Chuuya's bed.
"For his health." Dazai repeated. "Right." He whispered before pushing off the glass, shoving his hands in his poclets, and walking down the white halls of the hospital towards the exit.

Beautiful birthday boy
I KNOW THIS IS LATE I’M SO SORRY CHUUYA I STILL CELEBRATED YOUR BIRTHDAY ON THE DAY OF I PROMISE
Also I know I promised I would have a fic up over the weeked but life got in the way and for some reason I could not figure out what to write about for Chuuya’s birthday.
Enjoy this fluffy (late) birthday fic
"Dazai this restaurant is exquisite." Chuuya gasped a bit at the sight. It was a private room atop a tall building on the outskirts of the city, portraaying the image of the entire city on the back wall. There was a single table near the window that was covered with a smooth, white silk atble cloth and accompanied by two chairs that were already pulled out and prepared for the patrons. Dazai smiled at Chuuya's reaction and wrapped an arm around the tiny waist.
"Come on, let's sit down. The waiter should be coming up soon." Dazai stepped towards the table, pulling Chuuya's chair out a bit for the other. Chuuya happily smiled at Dazai before sitting in the seat and letting himself be tucked in by the taller male who then stepped around to the other side and took his own seat. Chuuya glanced at the elegantly set spread in front of him. A dark red satin napkin sat on the left side of the pure white plate under the silverware with intricate swirls carved into the handle. The menu rested rested lightly on top of the plate, it's matte black cover standing out against the pure background. He picked up the booklet and opened up to the first eggshell white page. Black cursive writing sat iin the middle of the otherwise blank page. The words simply read "happy brithday Chuuya" on them. Chuuya's eyes widened and he looked up at Dazai, who had a smile plastered on his face as he read the items on the menu.
"Dazai." Chuuya stated. Dazai raised his eyebrows a bit and looked up, faking a confused look. "How did you manage this?" He continued and turned te menu so Dazai could see the page. Dazai's smile just increased in size before he looked back down at his menu. "Dazai, answer my question."
"Why does it matter how I did it? All that matters is that you enjoyed it." Dazai looked back up at Chuuya and leaned a bit closer to him. "And did you?" Chuuya couldn't deny the fact that it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for him, especially on his birthday. Chuuya bit the inside of his lip a bit.
"Yes Dazai, I loved it." He replied.
"That's your answer." Dazai returned his gaze to the menu and Chuuya did the same. He took a sharp inhale as he looked at the price of each meal, but decided not to interrogate Dazai any further. Reading over the names and contents of each item, Chuuya struggled to make a decision. After a lengthy mental battle between two items, he decided to get the seared salmon with a side of risotto and steamed vegetables. He handed the menu to the waiter and turned his head to look out the window. He admired the shadows of the buildings with the pink-orange sunset behind them. "Kinda matches your hair, doesn't it?"
"Hm?" Chuuya glanced back to Dazai.
"That orange color that comes when the sun sets. It reminds me of your hair." Dazai repeated and looked out the window again, then returned his eyes to Chuuya's hair. Chuuya smiled a bit at the comment.
"Shut up Dazai." Chuuya grumbled quietly as the waiter stepped inside with a bottle of wine in his hand and a wine opener in the other. He opened the bottle silently and poured some into both Dazai and Chuuya's glasses, then placed the bottle on the table with the label facing them.
"Hey." Dazai spoke and held up his glass. "To you, Chuuya. Happy birthday. I love you." Chuuya smiled and raised his  glass.
"I love you too." Chuuya replied as they tapped their glasses together before drinking.
~~
"That dinner was absolutely fantastic. The risotto was cooked perfectly." Chuuya sighed happily as they walked along the sidewalk. "Thank you, Dazai. I mean it. Tonight has been absolutely amazing."
"Of course, Chuuya. Anything for you." Dazai replied as he wrapped an arm around Chuuya's hips, turning Chuuya to face him. "I'm really glad you enjoyed everything." Dazai added as he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a tiny box. "Here's your gift."
"Dazai you didn't have to get me anything. Especially after everything tonight." He smiled as he grabbed the box. Chuuya's eyes widened when he opened the box, revealing a small silver band composed of infinity loops. "What-"
"I was passing by a store a few days ago. It's called a promise ring, meaning that I vow to marry you when we're ready. And when I saw that in the window, it immediately reminded me of how I promise to love you forever and ever." Dazai smiled slightly down to Chuuya, who's breath was hitched in his throat.
"Dazai. I don't know what to say." Chuuya stuttered. "Thank you. I love it." He smiled as he slipped the ring on his right middle finger.
"I love you Chuuya. Happy birthday."
"Thank you. I love you too." Chuuya smiled as he leaned up and closed the space between the two of them and sealing their lips with a warm and passionate kiss, making the space around them fade away, leaving nothing for Chuuya to focus on other than the man he's with, and will be with forever.

Lovers that went wrong
"Dazai no don't go please!" Chuuya shouted as the taller male bulled his coat over his shoulders. Dazai's eyes were casted downwards at the floor, a solemn look polluting them and dulling the color. "Dazai, answer me! Scream, shout, say somethign!" Chuuya grabbed at Dazai's bandaged arm, pleading him to speak. Dazai jerked Chuuya's grip off of his arm, knocking the redhead onto the floor. Chuuya stared up at Dazai, speechless.
"I don't want to hear anything from you. How about you go to your new lover-boy? He seemed to do just fine for you last night." Dazai ripped his gaze away from Chuuya before slamming the front door after him. Chuuya sat on the floor in front of the front door, frozen. He didn't notice the tears that rolled down his cheeks as he began to sob on the ground in his apartment. He pulled himself to his knees, before clasping his hands over his face.
Dazai stormed down the staircase that led up to Chuuya's apartment. He rubbed the tears that welled up in his eyes, and he tried to get the image of Chuuya under another man out of his mind. He bit the inside of his cheeks as he stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, letting the rain pour down on him, soaking him down to the bone. Dazai picked his feet back up and walked back to his own apartment with determination to fulfill his plan.
Once he reached the familiar front door that he hadn't walked through in about a week, he paused. Taking a deep breath, he turned his key in the lock and waited for the click before pushing it open and slamming it shut after him. He threw his coat over the back of the couch and stormed into his kitchen, opening his cabinet of pills. He grabbed a bottle from the top shelf and yanked the cap off. Filling the cup next to the sick with water, he poured half the contents of the bottle into his palm and tossed them into his mouth. gulping down the water, swallowing the little white ovals, he let the welled up tears rool down his cheeks right before his vision went black.
~~
Chuuya sat at the bar in his apartment, drinking whatever he could find. Any bottle that was within his reach was emptied within the matter of minutes. After hours of drinking, empty wine and vodka bottles littered the floor. He just wanted to drown out the memory of that night. The sounds of him moaning another man's name, the feeling of another man inside of him, him clawing at strange shoulders, and unfamiliar hair burying itself in the crook of his neck. The sight of Dazai standing in the doorway of what Chuuya considered their bedroom. The shocked look on his face. The hurt in his eyes. The way his mouth hung open a bit. The morning after. The way Dazai just sat on the cuch, causally reading his book. The look in his eyes when Chuuya made himself known. Dazai's heavy footsteps towards his coat next to the door. The way he threw Chuuya away from him. The look in his eyes before he slammed the door, cutting their connection. Chuuya folded his arms on the countertop and cuddled his head into them, releasing loud sobs that were muffled due to the small space.
He missed the familiar bandaged arms that would wrap around him in his times of distraut, the way Dazai felt in every aspect. Their night they spent fucking into the wee hours. Or the nights that they spent just cuddling and enjoying each other's company. Every mission they went on. Every time Dazai saved Chuuya from his own ability. Every dumb movie they watched. Every popcorn fight. Every little nickame that they spat at each other. Every memory of his relationship with Dazai was drowned by his one fuck up.
Chuuya reached for his phone on the edge of the counter. He opened the screen, squinting a bit at the sudden bright light. His fingers automatically dialed the number of his one and only, and he brought the phone up to his ear. It rang about 6 times before going to his voicemail.
'This is Dazai, leave a message after the beep !' Dazai's beautifully bubbly tone rang through Chuuya's head, initiating more tears to escape from his eyes.
"Dazai." Chuuya's voice was coarse and broken, cracking with every word. "Please call me. I miss you. I know I fucked up but can't we fix this? Please. I'm begging you." Chuuya slurred before a beep sounded, ending his messgae and sending it. He pulled the phone away from his ear and dialed again.
'This is Dazai, leave a message after the beep !'
"Dazai come on. It's been three days. Can't we at least talk about this? Please? Dazai?" The beep cut him off. Chuuya slammed his head back into his arms and sobbed until he fell asleep.
~~
Chuuya woke up with a pounding hangover that felt like a massage compared to the pain he felt in his heart for what he did to Dazai. He picked up his phone and quickly checked for any missed calls, but to no avail. His screen showed no new notifications. Just the picture of him and Dazai at Chuuya's favorite restaurant from their one-year anniversary. He opened the phone and dialed the same number again.
'This is Dazai, leave a message after the beep !'
"Dazai. It's me again. Please. At least let me know you're okay. I just need to hear your voice. And not an automated machine. The real you. Please." He was once again cut off by the beep. He decided to shower and personally go over to Dazai's apartment.
After the boiling hot shower and Chuuya's relentless effors to try and scrub the guilt off of him, he placed his hat on his head and closed the door. Walking briskly down the street, weaving through people and dodging cars or food stands. In what felt like hours, he made it to the staircase that led to the apartment, he climbed up the three flights it took to get to Dazai's flat. Chuuya took a deep breath as he stood in front of the door, slowly raising his hand and knocking quietly. Footsteps grew louder as someone approached the front door. Chuuya's heart began to beat faster and he held his breath. The lock clicked and the door opened, only to reveal the blond man that was Dazai's business partner known as Kunikida.
"Oh, Mr. Nakahara. What brings you here?" Kunikida asked, resting one hand on the doorknob and one in the pocket of his pants.
"Where's Dazai? I need to talk to him, right now." Chuuya tried to sound as together as possible, but his voice came out more desperate than he had intended.
"I thought you had heard. He made another attempt on his life the other night. Swallowed over half a bottle of pills. We found him the next morning maybe an hour away from death. He's in the hospital right now." Kunikida explained calmly. Chuuya's mind raced in every direction.
"Oh my god." Chuuya whispered to himself. "What hospital is he in?" chuuya demanded.
"Yokohama General, room 237." Chuuya took off running without saying any thanks you or goodbye to Kunikida. His legs took him to the hospital half a mile away in under thirty minutes. Sprinting to the front desk, he slammed both his hands on in and attempted to catch his breath.
"I'm here to visit Mr. Dazai Osamu. He's in room 237." His breath came short and rapid.
"Go ahead sir." The receptionist answered as she handed him a visitor's pass. He walked quickly down the hallway, careful not to hit any doctors or patients that could be coming down the hall. He reahed room 237 and stopped. His hand rested gently on the doorknob. After taking two deep breaths, he opened it quietly, poking his head in. He found the sight of his love laying still in the pure whie bed, a blanket laid carefully across the lower half of his body.
"He's in a coma right now. He was found by two of his co-workers and brought here. We believe that he'll survive this, we have him on life support."
"Is it possible for me to, uhm," Chuuya paused a bit. "Is it possible for me to stay with him? You know until he wakes up?" Chuuya stuttered a bit. The doctor looked over to him and nodded.
"Of course, sir. If you'll excuse me." The doctor bowed slightly before exiting. Chuuya stared at the limp body before pulling a chair next to the bed. He rested his gloved hand on top of Dazai's cold one. The IV quietly dripped and machines steadily beaped in the bitter silence of the sterile room. Chuuya's eyes began to drip slaty tears down his cheeks as he squeezed Dazai's hand, waiting for the hand to squeeze back.
"Dazai? I don't know if you can hear me, but, I just wanted to say," Chuuya stuttered and paused, swallowing back additional tears. "I'm so sorry. I know I fucked up. I REALLY fucked up. Please Dazai. Please forgive me. And iff you do, I'll make sure that I never hurt you like this, ever again." Chuuya stopped as he felt a stir under his hands. He quickly looked up to Dazai's face to see the brown eyes slowly open. Chuuya gasped. "Dazai. You're okay."
"Chuuya?" Dazai's voice was hoarse from disuse. "Where am I?" He questioned and began to attempt to sit up, only to be stopped by Chuuya's hand on his shoulder.
"You're in the hospital. Kunikida and Atsushi found you in your apartment passed out from an overdose." Chuuya paused. "I was so worried."
"Why do you care? I thought you were over me." Dazai shook Chuuya's touch off of him and averted his gaze towards the window.
"No, I'm not. I know I fucked up, Dazai. And I can't possiby feel like I've apologized enough. But I'm so sorry." Chuuya pleaded.
"Chuuya I need you to go." Dazai mumbled, his voice breaking slightly. Chuuya inhaled his breath and hung his head. Standing up and placing his hat back on his head, and stepped out of the room. Holding back the tears that threatened to soak his cheeks, he walked briskly towards the elevator.
~~
Alone in his apartment that night, he sat in the same stool and drank the contents of the bar. He opened and chugged every bottle that had even the smallest amount of booze in it, numbing his brain. Holding his head in his hand, his eyes drooped from the affects of exhaustion, sadness and the alcohol. Only a few tears slid down his cheeks. After finishing a bottle of Chuuya didn't even know what, he heard a small knock on his door. He sighed and dragged himsle fover to the slab of wood. Cracking the door open, he was greeted by the sight of Kunikida.
"Kunikida? How did you get my address?" Chuuya raised an eyebrow.
"It's listed as a secondary home on Dazai's papers and he has it written in his apartmnet." Kunikida answered blatently. Chuuya could feel his the remains of his heart shatter.
"Oh."
"Speaking od Dazai, I came to inform you that he passed away today in the hospital. We'll be holding a funeral in a few days." Kunikida slipped a black piece of paper through the crack of the door. Chuuya nodded.
"Thank you." Chuuya whispered before closing and locking the door. His back slammed against the wall and he slid
down slowly, hand tightening on the little black paper. Sobs were thrown into the atmosphere as Chuuya drowned in his tears and his thoughts.
'I caused this.' Was the final thought that went through his mind before his eyes closed.
He hoped that his vision would be black for good.

The ocean in your eyes
I was texting my friend and he said beach day fic so here’s the pure fluff that I created out of that
~~~~~~~
Chuuya stirred a bit in the white sheets, stretching his arm to the other side, expecting another familiar body there. He opened his eyes a bit when he found only empty bed beside him. Sitting up and rubbing his eyes, he stepped out of bed and followed the sound of soft humming and fresh eggs.
"Dazai? What are you doing?" Chuuya raised his eyebrows a bit as he walked over to his boyfriend's side and wrapped an arm around him, looking into the pan.
"Making breakfast." Dazai smiled before placing a small kiss on the vibrant head of hair beside him. "You know, since you have the day off today, I thought we should do something."
"Every time you say you want to do something, you have something already planned so what is it."
"Since you figured me out, we're going to the beach." Dazai stated with a bubbly tone. Chuuya looked at him for a second before smiling.
"That sounds great, actually."
~~
"Dazai this beach is actually really nice." Chuuya looked around the pale sand that lined the deep blue water of the ocean. "I half expected us to end up at some dirty beach." Chuuya paused. "Or dead considering the way you drive."
"Oh Chuuya don't be so mean. Come, sit." Dazai smiled from the grey blanket that he had placed on the sand. Chuuya knelt down and stretched his legs in front of him, leaning back on his palms. He fixed his gaze forward and stared at the ocean through the lenses of his sunglasses.
"Hey Chuuya."
"Yeah?"
"Race you to the water!" Dazai shouted before standing up and taking off in the direction of the waves.
"What the hell? Dazai wait!" Chuuya shouted as he removed his hat and sunglasses and took off behind the brunet. Dazai reached the water and held both his hands out, which the redhead quickly placed his own hands in. Dazai raised their hands above his head before quickly wrapping his arms around his partner's small waist and spinning him around a bit. Chuuya smiled  widely and released a breathy laugh and wrapped his arms around Dazai's still bandaged neck.
"Ready?" Dazai asked with a mischevious smile smeared across his lips.
"For what?" Chuuya replied as Dazai walked them deeper into the water, before dunking them up to their shoulders.
"Oh my god Dazai!" he shouted before releasing a little laugh. Dazai released the smaller one before dunking his head under water. "Dazai?" Chuuya looked around before feeling water squirt the back of his neck. He whipped around to see the stupid grin of his boyfriend behind him. "Oh that's it, you're a dead man!" Chuuya smiled before submerging his own head under the water and swimming after Dazai. Chuuya quickly caught up to the other and released a mouthful of water right onto the chiseled features of Dazai's face.
They both dipped back under the water and looked at each other through the surprisingly clear water. Dazai gave a little smile as Chuuya slowly swam nearer to the familiar face. Chuuya returned the smile as he wrapped his arms around Dazai's neck. Dazai grabbed the others hips and closed the space between them. Chuuya smiled into the kiss before deepening it, shifting his hands from his neck and up to his flowing brown locks. His fingers tangled in the soft hair that seemed almost softer due to the water. Everything around them seemed to disappear to Chuuya, leaving only him and dazai in their own personal world. He wished that the moment could last forever, but the need for oxygen soon became apparent to the both of them. They parted their lips and swam up to the surface, taking depp breaths when they were exposed to the fresh oxygen. Chuuya's hands remained tangled in Dazai's now flattened hair, and Dazai kept his hands resting on Chuuya's lower back. They pressed their foreheads together with smiles painted on their faces.
"You know we should probably get out of the water at some point." Chuuya broke the silence, causing Dazai to chuckle a bit.
"Come on, I've got sandwiches and waters in the cooler by the blanket." Dazai replied as he began to step through the sand and up towards their blamket. Chuuya followed closely behind, taking in the sight before him. Dazai's bandages clung to his muscles, defining every line and accentuating all of Chuuya's favorite features. Chuuya bit his lip a bit as he watched Dazai sit down, following suit. Dazai grabbed a small clear ziploc container and handed it to Chuuya. "Your favorite." Chuuya smiled a bit.
"Thanks." He replied as he opened the container and took a bite of the hand-crafted meal. "Could you hand me a water?"
"Oh you're thirsty? Well I don't think I could solve that in public, Chuuya." Dazai joked with a little eyebrow wiggle.
"Shut up you bastard." Chuuya retorted as he crawled over the brunet's lap and grabbed himself a water from the cooler. He sat back in his place and couldn't help but notice the mahogany orbs gazing at him. "What?"
"You know, I've always wanted to take you to the beach." Dazai said as he gazed forward at the sunset that began resting on the horizon. Chuuya raised his eyebrows slightly with genuine curiousity.
"Oh? And why's that?"
"Because of your eyes." Dazai paused. "They remind me of the ocean. The color, the depth, the vast and undiscovered mysteries that they hold. I always get lost in your eyes, and I just love getting lost and drowing in them." Chuuya's jaw hung open slightly as he tried to find his words.
"Dazai-" Chuuya choked a bit. dazai grabbed the small hand and looked into the blue orbs.
"I love you, Chuuya." Chuuya stared before leaning forward and locking their lips together for a quick kiss.
"You sap. I love you too." Chuuya smiled before adjusting himself so his head could rest on Dazai, and they watched as the sun cast an orange hue over the blue water, and slowly dip down below the horizon.
Her big day
part two of our little girl but it can be read by itself
implied mpreg so avoid this if you’re not into that
"Hey mom, can I talk to you?" Miya asked as people slowly left the venue where the rehersal dinner was held. Chuuya could tell by Miya's face and tone that something was wrong.
"Of course, what's wrong?" He replied as he grabbed her small hand and led her to an available table. Miya took a deep breath as she sat down and looked down at the white table cloth draped over the table top.
"I'm really nervous about tomorrow." Her voice was shakey and her eyes became glassy.
"Sweetheart it's going to be perfect." Chuuya said in a calm and soft voice as he held her hands tighter and pulled her into a hug, absorbing her soft sobs into his jacket. "Shh it's okay, everything's okay." He comforted his little girl. He ran his hand slowly over her long, chocolate brown hair that she got from Dazai.
"Chuuya are you ready to-" Dazai began to call out but stopped when he saw the state that his daughter was in. "Hey Miya, what's wrong?" Miya pulled her head back from Chuuya's chest and wiped hre tears.
"I'm terrified. What if tomorrow isn't everything I want it to be?" Miya sniffled and looked down in her lap.
"Honey look at me." Dazai guided her head up with a soft finger under her chin, forcing her to make eye contact with him. dazai stared into the ocean eyes that came from Chuuya. "Tomorrow is your day, and I promise that it will be everything you want and more. I'll make sure of it." He said with a voice as smooth as caramel and a touvh as light as a feather. Miya smiled a bit and wrapped her arms around her father's neck.
"Thanks dad." She breathed and buried her face into Dazai's neeck, relaxing when she felt the familiar bandaged arms wrap around her waist.
~~
"Miya sat in front of the mirror and took a deep breath. She stared at her refelction and clenched her hands a bit, anxiety still coursing through her body and worst case scenarios playing through her head.
"Miya darling, arre you alright?" Kouyou asked as she brought all of Miya's har behind her shoulders and began sectioning it out.
"Just some pre-ceremony anxiety." Miya sighed.
"Of course you're anxious dear, it's quite possubly the biggest day of your life. But the important thing is to focus on the fact that you're here, and there's a man out there waiting to spend the rest of his life with you." Kouyou explained softly. Miya's shoulders relaxed as she listened to the calming sensation of her grandma's voice. "I remember when Chuuya was having pre-ceremony anxiety. I couldn't get him to sit still for the life of me. He just kept pacing and clenching his fists just like you were."
"Was he really that anxious?"
"Sweetheart I don't think words could ever explain how anxious he was." Kouyou laughed, causing MIya to crack a smile. Kouyou pinched the girls cheeks. "There's that beautiful smile." Miya laughed as she gently swatted her hands away.
"Knock knock." Chuuya's voice rang as he slowly opened the door. "Can I come in?"
"Of course." Kouyou answered as the door opened fully and Chuuya stepped inside, closing it after him.
"Look at my little girl on her wedding day." Chuuya smiled as he took in his daughter's appearance. "You look so beautiful." He grabbed her hand and stood in front of her. "Are you feeling better since last night?"
"Actually, yeah. Grandma helped me out. She told me about how anxious you were before marrying dad."
"You told her about that?" Chuuya snapped his eyes up to Kouyou who just shrugged nonchalantly. "I told quite a few people about that." Chuuya sighed and placed a hand over his slightly blushing cheeks. Miya bursted into laughter.
"Oh my god I never thought I'd ever see you blush!" She shouted and continued laughing.
"Do you see what you've done? I'm never gonna live that down." Chuuya looked at Kouyou, who just responded with another shrug before continuing Miya's hair.
~~~ Miya took another deep breath as the back of her dress was zipped up. She stared at the pure white gown in the mirror. The dress was strapless and hugged Miya's chest and waist like a corset, silver jewels lining the top. The rest of the dress slowly flared out until it reached the floor, the train running about two feet behind Miya's feet. Her veil reached the middle of her back, a small lace lining running around the edge. Her hair was pulled into an elegant bun with a braid wrapped around it. She smiled at her refelction. She felt beautiful.
"You look absolutely stunning." Miya quickly turned around to meet the loving haze of her dad. He was leaning against the doorway of her dressing room, hands in his black dress pants. Miya sighed and smiled widely at the sight. "I couldn't be more proud of you, Miya." He smiled at her as he walked over. Miya stepped over and ran into her dad's open arms.
"Thank you dad." She breathed. "Are you wearing cologne?" She asked and pulled her face away from Dazai's chest.
"Yes. Is it too much?"
"When you bury your face in it, yeah it is." Miya coughed a bit before backing up. "I'm sure itll dull a bit before the ceremony starts." They both laughed until their sides hurt. As their laughter quieted, Chuuya knocked on the door frame.
"Ready to start?" Chuuya looked to MIya. She shighed before standing up straight and giving a quick nod.
"Yes I am."
~~
Chuuya stood, arms linked with his future son-in-law, Satoru. He bit his lip a bit as he watched the bridesmaids and groomsmen walk up the aisle one by one. Chuuya could sense the tension in the man's shoulders.
"Relax, Satoru. Everything will be fine." Chuuya smiled up at the man. He exhaleda deep breath.
"I'm actually not anxious, I just can't believe that I'm about to enter a life long bond with the love of my life." He smiled at the thought of her. "I never thought I'd be here." Chuuya smiled at the kind words that were spoken about his daughter.
"She's lucky to be marrying a guy like you. I couldn't ask for anyone better." Chuuya pat the other's forearm as it came to be their time to walk forward. They walked at the same slow pace, smiles plastered on both of their faces. Chuuya brought Satoru all the way to the alter and held his arm until he was in position. Chuuya smiled as he walked over to his seat nearest to the aisle.
Soon, everyone rose to their feet as Dazai and Miya came into view. Miya held Dazai's left arm as he rested his hand on top of one of her arms. His eyes were visibly tearing up as they walked slowly to the elegant music that sounded through the venue. Miya smiled as she looked at all the happy faces of her friends and family and smiled back to all of them. The sound of cameras clicking and small comments on her appearance could be faintly heard as the passed rows of seats. They soon reached the alter as Dazai turned and kissed the side if his daughter's hair before releasing her arm and walking over next to Chuuya, who had small tears running down his cheeks. Dazai took his thumb and dried Chuuya's eyes before giving him a small kiss on his forehead.
"Look at that, our little girl, getting married." Dazai admired the sight of Miya and Satoru standing on the alter, facing each other with smiles on their faces. He rested a hand on Chuuya's thigh, and Chuuya rested his own hand on top of Dazai's.
"I couldn't be happier.

Our little girl
a request from @13daysofhappiness who requested either a family domestic soukoku fic or fem!Chuuya, I hope you enjoy friend and thank you for your request !
Implied mpreg so if you don’t like that then scoot on out of here
Their daughter is based off of a fanart I saw by @tealilie but I gave her a name (with the help of me friend)
The house was dark and silent, the couple sleeping happily in their bed. The loud sound of a baby crying stirred them both.
"Dazai." Chuuya mumbled and shook the other's shoulder. "Dazai come on, Miya's crying. It's your turn." Chuuya continued.
"Alright. Go back to sleep." Dazai grumbled as he stood from the bed and walked down the hallway and into the other room. "Hi honey." He greeted to the small girl in the crib. He reached into the crib and cradled the little child against him.
"Shh it's alright, it's alright." Dazai gently bounced the child. The crying softened until going away completely, and the girl slept soundly. Dazai smiled as he sofly placed her back into the crib and pulled the little white blanket up to her neck. After placing a light kiss on the little girl's forehead, he quietly stepped out and closed the door.
~~
Dazai and Chuuya each walked on one side of their little girl, both holding one of her hands. She skipped happily while looking at the cement in front of her.
"Someone's excited for their first day of first grade." Chuuya said. Miya looked up to her parent and nodded quickly.
"My teacher is gonna be nice and I'm gonna make friends!" She cheered. Dazai chuckled at the little girl's optimisim.
"I bet you're gonna be the most popular girl in first grade." Dazai smiled and tapped the girl's nose with his index finger. Chuuya smiled at his happy little family as they stepped on the school campus.
"Alright honey we'll be right here when you get out of class, okay?"
"Mhm!" She nodded rapidly.
"Mommy and daddy love you, Miya."
"Love you!" She laughed before running off towards her classroom. Chuuya took a deep breath as he watched her skip off. Dazai wrapped a hand around Chuuya's hips.
"She's gonna be just fine."
"I know. She's just growing up really fast." Chuuya rested his head on Dazai's shoulder.
"Yeah. She really is."
~~
"Mommy when's daddy gonna be home? I wanna show him my tooth!" Big blue eyes the same shade as Chuuya's stared up at the redhead. Chuuya raised his eyebrows a bit before looking up at the clock on the wall.
"If it's a normal day daddy is gonna be home soon." Chuuya smiled down at the little girl. "Lets put that tooth in a baggie, hm?" Chuuya placed his book on the coffee table and hoisted her up onto his hip.
"But I want daddy to see it!" She bounced a bit in Chuuya's arms.
"He'll see it I promise." Chuuya grabbed a small plastic bag from the drawer as he heard the front door open.
"Hello, I'm home!" Dazai cheered as he closed the front door. Chuuya set down the excited girl and watched her sprint into the other room.
"Daddy!!" She yelled as he knelet down and opened his arm.
"There's my little Miya!" He smiled as she wrapped her little arms around his neck and he picked her up. Chuuya stepped out of the kitchen with the little tooth in a bag. "And there's my little Chuuya." Dazai smiled over to his spouse.
"What's that?"
"Our little girl lost a tooth today." Chuuya responded.
"Is that right? Well you gotta put that under your pillow tonight or else the tooth fairy won't give you money!" Dazai smiled as he looked into his daughter's ocean blue eyes. Dazai grabbed the tooth from Chuuya and handed it to the little girl. She placed her little hands on both sides and ran off in the direction of her bedroom. Dazai smiled and watched her turn the corner before facing Chuuya.
"Hey you." He smiled and grabbed Chuuya's waist, pulling him closer. Chuuya smiled and wrapped his arms around Dazai's neck. Dazai leaned down and kissed Chuuya's forehead.
"Did you hit your head or something on your way home?" Chuuya poked the side of Dazai's head, making the brunet chuckle a bit.
"I'm not allowed to miss my beautiful little redhead?"
"You are, it's just weird that you express it." Chuuya laughed a bit before leaning his head up, closing the space between the two.
"Ew mommy that's gross!" Miya shouted before covering her eyes. Dazai laughed a bit.
"She's right, mommy, that is gross." Dazai joked.
"Well I wonder how gross your hair is gonna get when you sleep on the couch tonight." Chuuya's face flattened before walking away towards the kitchen. "And figure out your own dinner too." He called out before turning out of sight. Dazai looked down at Miya before kneeling in front of her.
"Wanna scare mommy?" She nodded excitedly. "Follow me. But stay quiet." Dazai held a finger in front of his smirking lips as she covered her mouth with her palms. They snuck into the kitchen behind Chuuya before Dazai wrapped his arms around Chuuya's waist while Miya caught his ankles. Chuuya jumped a bit before laughing.
"Miya, did daddy convince you into going along with one of his plans?" Chuuya smiled slightly at his feet where she still sat.
"Yep!" She smiled widely. Chuuya glanced back at Dazai before picking up the little brunet.
"Go wash up for dinner sweetie." He instructed. The girl nodded and skipped off down the hallway. He turned around completely in Dazai's arms. "What are you doing still wearing your coat?" Dazai raised his eyebrows a bit before looking down at his arm.
"Huh, I forgot I had it on." Dazai smiled and kissed the redhead's cheek. "I'll be right back." Dazai turned and walked down the same direction as Miya. Chuuya smiled before turning back to the stove.
~~
"First day of middle school Miya, are you excited?" Dazai asked with a smile as he looked to the girl next to him.
"I don't wanna start middle school. Are the kids gonna pick on me?" She looked down at her feet.
"If they do then let me know right away, okay?" Dazai placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. He smiled as she looked up to him, smiling back. "Here we are. Are you gonna be able to get home by yourself?"
"Yeah, I got it. Thanks dad." She smiled before walking up towards the building. Dazai gave a small wave as she walked away, before turning and walking away himself. Dazai pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed the number he memorized in a night.
'Hey Dazai what's up?'
"I just dropped off Miya at school. She said she'll be able to make it by herself."
'Dazai you know that I feel weird letting her walk home by herself.'
"Sweetheart she'll be fine we're in a safe neighborhood." Chuuya's sigh could be heard and Dazai could sense the
gloved fingers rubbing at his own temple.
'Alright alright, thanks for letting me know.'
"Of course. Alright I just got to work so I'll see you tonight okay? I love you."
'I love you too, have a good day.' Chuuya replied before the line went dead.
~~
"I can't believe she's already finished middle school." Chuuya marvelled as he sat down in a chair, adjusting his hat to get the sun out of his eyes. "Oh look her row is stepping up! Dazai get the camera."
"Alright hold on." Dazai said as he reached down under his seat and pulled out his camera. Miya looked over to her parents and smiled, giving a small wave as the camera shudder clicked. Dazai brought the camera down and looked at the picture. "What do you think?"
"That's so cute." Chuuya smiled.
"Miya Nakahara." The principal called as she stepped up to the podium. Dazai brought the camera back up and snapped pictures as she shook hands with the principal and walked down back to her seat. She caught a glimpse of her parents and gave them a quick wave.
~~
"Miya come on we're gonna be late!" Chuuya shouted up the stairs. Miya came down with a tired expression.
"Why couldn't summer have lasted just like one more week?" She questioned before grabbing her lunch from the counter and walking towards the car. Chuuya laughed a bit as he grabbed his hat off the hook next to the door.
"Anyway I'm going out for yogurt after school with some friends."
"That's fine just be home before 6." Chuuya answered as he kept his eyes focused on the road ahead. "Nervous for today?"
"Not really, it's just high school." Miya shrugged. She looked out the window as they pulled up to the large campus.
"Alright have a good day, I'll see you later tonight."
"Bye mom." Miya said as she got out of the black car. Chuuya smiled as he drove away from the school.
~~
"Miya sweetheart oh my god you look amazing." Chuuya smiled proudly as his daughter came down the stairs in her slim, floor-length white and gold dress. "Senior ball. Who would've thought that this day would come so fast."
"Thanks mom." Miya smiled. She looked over to Dazai. "Well dad, what do you think?" Miya asked as she spun around in front of the staircase.
"I think you look beautiful." Dazai smiled. "I'm so happy for you." A knock on the front door interrupted them. Dazai walked over and opened the door.
"Hey mr. Osamu, is she ready?"
"Yep. Miya hun, your ride's here!"
"Ok dad!" She smiled as she walked over to the front door.
"Be safe, have fun and let us know when you'll be home." Dazai smiled as she stepped through the doorway.
"I got it dad, thanks." She laughed before giving each of her parents a peck on the cheek. "Love you guys!" They both waved at her as she stepped off towards the black party bus. Chuuya held Daza's arm and rested his head on the brunet's shoulder.
"Movie night?" Dazai asked.
"Movie night." Chuuya agreed as they stepped back into the house and raced to the couch.
~~
"High school gradutaion. One of the biggest moments of a person's life. I can't believe we're here right now." Dazai sighed happily.
"I know. I remember when we were sending her off on her first day of first grade. And when she went off to middle school, and her eigth grade promotion, senior ball, and now we're here. I just can't believe what our daughter has become." Chuuya reminisced. "In just a few months she;s gonna be leaving for college." Chuuya's voice broke a bit. Dazai wrapped an arm around Chuuya's shoulders and rubbed his arm slowly.
"Chuuya don't cry, you're gonna look weak in front of the other parents." Dazai stated, causing Chuuya to laugh a bit.
"You shitty bastard." He smiled and playfully punched Dazai's chest. Dazai laughed and gave Chuuya a little kiss on his forehead. Their gazes averted down to the field as all of the graduating students began to walk out and into their seats. Names passed by as the sun set behind them, students recieved their diplomas, families and friends cheered, and Dazai and Chuuya just waited for their little girl's moment.
"Miya Ayumi Nakahara-Osamu." The principal called as the girl walked up. Dazai and Chuuya cheered loudly, along with members of the mafia or agency that were able to make it. She walked past the podium and recieved her diploma, before walking down the carpet, waving up to her family.
~~
"This is it guys." Miya sighed as she placed her last suitcase in the trunk of her car. She stood up straight and turned around to face her parents. "I'm gonna miss you guys."
"We're gonna miss you too, Miya." Chuuya said, voice beginning to break.
"Call us as soon as you get there, and come visit as soon as possible." Dazai added. Miya took a step forward and wrapped her arms around them.
"I will. I promise." Miya's eyes began watering. "I love you guys."
"We love you too, honey." Chuuya replied as Miya unwrapped herself from her parents. She gave them a smile before turning around and stepping into her car, starting it and driving off fown the street. Dazai and Chuuya stood in front of the house, waving, until her car was out of sight, but not out of mind.

Reason living
so this is kind of a part two of forever with you but it can be read by itself
title credit to @aja154ever
basically soukoku wedding day fanfic that I wanted to write
“Chuuya-” Kouyou knocked lightly on the lightly colored wood door. “Chuuya honey it’s time to wake up.” She continued as she stepped over to wear the little redhead slept and lightly shook his shoulder. After a few futile attempts at waking him up, she bat his shoulder with her right hand. “Chuuya get up, now.” She commanded, causing him to stir.
“What the hell? What time is is?” He groaned and turned onto his back before pushing himself up onto his elbows.
“It’s 10 a.m. You need to get up and start getting ready.” She stated before standing up and walking to the curtains, yanking them open and letting in the natural sunlight of the morning. Chuuya groaned loudly while flopping back down onto his bed and covering his face with his pillow.
~~ Dazai at the metal table on the balcony, a mug of coffee sitting in front of him, releasing steam into the air. He let out a deep breath while running his finger around the top of the cup. His chin rested on his hand and his view was cast downwards toward the street, watching the people go about their days.
“Dazai, what are you doing?” Kunikida asked as he opened the sliding glass door that connected the apartment and the balcony.
“Mentally preparing myself for today.” He replied queitly.
“You don’t seem excited.” Kunikida pulled out the chair that was across from Dazai and sat down. Dazai shifted his gaze over to his blond best friend.
“Kunikida words couldn’t express how happy I am, but I just want everything to go perfectly.”
“It’ll be fine, calm down.” Kunikida stood from the chair. “Get in here, you’ve gotta clean yourself up. I can’t let you get married looking like that.”
~~
“Ow ow! Be gentle nee-san, I wanna have soome hair for my wedding.” Chuuya spoke as Kouyou struggled to get the hairbrush through the thick hair.
“I’m sorry your hair is just being very uncooperative.”
“Now you know why I wear a hat all the time.” They bother laughed before Kouyou gave one last tug on his hair. “Ah fuck!”
“Alright that was the last knot.” She said as she slowly ran the brush through the soft curly hair. Chuuya sighed and slumped into the chair slightly, his eyes cast downward. “Nervous?”
“Very. I don’t really know why. I’m so excited but I can’t shake my anxiety.”
“Oh sweetheart it’s completely normal to be anxious on a big day. Just know that you’re going to have the time of your life.” She comforted and rubbed his arm a bit. Chuuya smiled as he gazed at his own refelction in front of him.
“I just can’t believe this is finally happening.” He smiled.
~~
Dazai attempted to straighten up his curly, voluminous hair in the mirror. He sighed and set his hands down on the counter that sat in between him and the mirror, giving a heavy sigh.
“Dazai seriously you’re not even dressed yet?” Kunikida complained as he entered the room. “Ugh your hair is still a mess. Did you even wash it when you showered?” He continued.
“Yes I washed it and it won’t flatten.” Dazai chuckled a bit. “I look like I just came in from a windstorm and decided to get married without even glancing at my reflection.”
“Get over here.” Kunikida demaned as he dragged over a chair and placed it in front of him. “Sit down.” Dazai quietly oblidged and turned so his back faced the blond. He watched the other begin to skillfully work with Dazai’s hair, brushing out and knots and tangles. Within the span of 10 minutes, Dazai’s hair was brushed through and styled. “There. Much more acceptable.”
“Wow,” Dazai marvelled at his pristine hair. “When did you learn to do hair?”
“Dazai have you seen the length of my hair. I kinda had to.” He shrugged before going towards the closet and retrieving the pieces of Dazai’s tuxedo. “Now get dressed, the ceremony starts in two hours.”
“Alright alright but you’re gonna have to get out if you want me to get dressed.” Dazai teased, causing the blond to cringe slightly before exiting the room, leaving behind a smiling Dazai.

“You know, Dazai actually tried to convince me to wear a gown. Can you believe it? A wedding gown. I’m a male, I’m gonna wear a tux.” Chuuya laughed as he ranted to his mother figure as he buttoned his shirt. “He’s lucky I even agreed to wear a white tux, I wanted to wear an all black one.” He shrugged as he buttoned his jacket. “How does this look?” He turned to Kouyou and opened his arms. She sat in silence, a smile spreading on her face and tears welling up in her eyes.
“You look amazing, dear.” Her voice broke a bit. “I never thought this day would come.” a single tear escaped her eye before she caught it with the sleeve of her formal kimono. Chuuya smiled and let out a small, cheerful laugh.
“How long until the ceremony?” He turned and looked at the clock at the wall.
“Just 45 minutes left.” Kouyou answered as Chuuya took in a breath. “Deep breath, Chuuya. Everything will be perfect.” Chuuya smiled.
“I know. I’m just really excited.”

“Thanks for coming you guys!” Dazai greeted as he walked over to his friends from the agency. “Wow Ranpo I’m surprised you came.” Dazai added, causing an burst of laughter from the others.
“I’m pretty sure he only came for a slice of cake.” Yosano joked, causing more uncontrolable laughter.
“Where do we put wedding gifts, Dazai?” Atsushi smiled to the brunet and held out a neatly wrapped box.
“Right on that table over there.” Dazai smiled and pointed to the table on the right side of the door. Atsushi handed the gift to Kyouka who graciously walked over and set the box down gently.
“So you nervous?” Yosano asked as she walked over and lightly elbowed Dazai’s side. He laughed a bit and smiled at her.
“A little bit. But that doesn’t matter because no matter what happens, I’m getting married and that’s all that matters.”
“Aww.” Everyone cooed at his words.
“Heartwarming, Dazai.” Hirotsu interjected and placed a hand on the other’s shoulder.
“Oh Hirotsu I’m glad you could come.”
“Of course, I wouldn’t miss you and Nakahara’s big day.” He smiled.
“Ready to start, Dazai?” Kouyou asked as she walked up to him, hands in her sleeves. Dazai smiled.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.”
Dazai walked up to his spot at the alter, followed by Kunikida, then Atsushi. Music from the piano sounded as one by one people filed down the aisle and stood on the side Chuuya would soon be on. Dazai smiled and folded his hands in front of him, fingers fidgeting in anticipation.
Soon everyone rose to their feet as Elise began to skip down the aisle, tossing red roses behind her, painting Chuuya’s path with the gentle petals. Once she reached the aisle, she tossed the last of the petals and skipped off to the right to return to Mori’s side.
Heads turned as Chuuya became visible in the doorway. Dazai bit his lip as he laid his eyes on him. The white tuxedo jacket hugged his small waist and rested on his hips. Escorted by Kouyou, theybegan to slowly make their way down the aisle, smiling at all of the smiles. Chuuya smiled at all of the faces he’s come to know over the years, until his eyes finally landed on Dazai. Dazai couldn’t help the smile that grew and the tears that threatened to spill. He inhaled a shaky breath as Chuuya climbed up the stairs to the alter. Kouyou released his arm as Dazai stretched out his hand. Chuuya planted a soft kiss on Kouyou’s temple before placing his hand in Dazai’s. He stood in front of Dazai, staring into the soft burgundy eyes that he lost himself in every time.

“I understand that you have written vows for each other?” Chuuya and Dazai smiled at each other. “Dazai, your vows.” Dazai took a deep breath before beginning to speak.
“Chuuya, I could stand here and tell you all these conventional things like ‘I’ve always been by your side and that will never change’ or things like that but then I’d be lying. I screwed up. And every day I did’t see you, I thought about you. And when I finally saw you two years after I left, I couldn’t believe it. I had to talk to you again. I’m so glad I did. And I’m even more glad that you forgave me. You gave me another chance. So to make up for when I wasn’t there, I vow to never leave you so long as you live. I’ll always be by your side, Chuuya. Because I love you so much. And I never wanna live without you again.” Chuuya’s eyes watered as he bit his lip and smiled up to Dazai.
“Beautiful. Chuuya, your vows.” Chuuya exhaled.
“Dazai, I’m just gonna come out and say it. I’ve loved you for years. Every mission we went on, every might we spent in mafia protected hotel rooms, watching tv in bed, or bickering at each other. I never wanted to leave your side. You never left my mind, even in the times when you weren’t physically there. I could always feel you there, and hear your voice even if you were miles away. I vow to never leave you, always be there to save you from your suicide attempts, make you smile, and every time you feel alone, I’ll be there to grab your hand and hold you. I love you, Dazai.” Dazai bit his bottom lip and smiled down to the redhead.
“Lovely. May I have the rings?” Atsushi handed over the two small silver bands. One plain silver band, the other small silver circles with gems in the middle of each. “Let these rings serve as a physical embodiment of your love for each other, their circular shape signifying the infinite time you will spend loving each other.” Dazai grabbed the jeweled silver ring and slid it onto Chuuya’s hand before Chuuya did the same for Dazai. “Do you, Dazai Osamu, take Chuuya Nakahara, to be your husband, ‘till death do you part?” Dazai turned his head and smiled, gazing into the small oceans.
“Yes, I do.”
“And do you, Chuuya Nakahara, take Dazai Osamu, to be your husband, ‘till death do you part.” Chuuya smiled.
“I do.”
“Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss the husband.” They smiled at each other before Dazai grabbed Chuuya’s hips and pulled him in for a kiss. Chuuya wrapped his arms around Dazai’s neck as everyone around them cheered. They separated after a few seconds and stared at each other before letting each other go and facing the audience. The two smiled and waved as they laced their hands together and walked down the aisle together.
