Sorry, this is a german one, because it's about a german (or rather austrian) topic. But I will explain what it's about.
In the first two panels, I'm introducing a new episode of the series "reimbursement at your health insurance fund" and clearly show signs of anger and lack of understanding while reading a letter. Meanwhile, at the insurance company, an elderly man spins a wheel which comes to stand at the 10% marker, clearly making him happy, but in the end, enraging me even more. This is how I imagined things go at the insurance company, titled ÖGK, which is where I have insurance. It's a piece full of anger and frustration, lacking some important pieces of information that actually were available to me, had I looked and not drawn this comic out of impulsive emotion.
You see, in Austria, there are elective doctors ("Wahlarzt") who do not have contracts with health insurance companies. However, this also means that you have to spend the money privately before you are reimbursed. There is an inherent comprehension problem with this comic, which I blame on my frustration: the health insurance company always pays back 80% - but only of the amount a doctor would have received from the health insurance company if they had a running contract! This is also the reason why many doctors (especially in Vienna) decide not to enter into health insurance contracts or to offer private services and health insurance services at the same time. Another misrepresentation is that the wheel indicates that between 10% and 80% can be refunded, which is clearly not true. The confusion stems from the fact that the information is sometimes misleadingly communicated by medical assistants. So the only correct image in the comic is my frustration at having no other option (because reasons) to see an elective doctor and not getting (in my view) enough money refunded.
I rushed the joke, didn't think enough about how the situation could differ from the things I imagine it to, and didn't take the vital step to check for facts.
I'm uploading this as a reminder, thinking piece and also, I sort of like how it came out, which is why I'd rather add this mega long text.

"When AI's moral standards are higher than those of the chancellor's party (ÖVP)."
This comic was made for Zeitgenossin Mag / ÖH Vienna. It is about the political party ÖVP, for which traditional values are very important. At the same time, the ÖVP has an ugly tradition of anti-semitic politicians in the past.

Very inspired of @rubyetc and @sackofpotatis that inspired me to do this comic after having a slight mental breakdown at the hairdresser.

Mr B. often complains that I only show him grumpy or frowning in my comics (he thinks a lot and is frowning while he does). So I decided to show him in his best light: he is a very sensitive and helpful person and defuses tension like no other person I know! ❤️
PS: I once noticed that my bad mood came from my top knot sitting too tight. Funny moment. We call this hairstyle ‚the onion‘ - if too tight, will make you cry.

There’s one crossing in the district where I live where almost everybody crosses on a red light only to wait for the Metro later. I am the one patiently waiting so what am I left with? Only judgement. 😂

Manhole
Explanation: Dark thoughts are emerging out of a hole in the ground, which is covered with a manhole cover. Even a lid can prove inefficient and bad thoughts will always find their way to touch you.
There is a way for everyone to deal with this, but theres no one general answer in how to deal with it best. That is something you will find out through deep reflection and sometimes hardship.
