Rachel was 18 when she filmed West Side Story. She was 17 when she was casted for the role though.

rachel turned 18 while filming the film so there's no way of knowing which scenes she was a minor and which scenes she wasn't.

here’s what steven speilberg (the director) said in a interview:

“I wanted (Maria) to be very young,” Spielberg says. “Rachel was 17 when she got the part and blew out her birthday candles on set when she turned 18. It was really important to me that this is a story about youth: When we're that age, we think we know so much more than we actually are prepared to speak about.”

so once again! please do not gif rachel zegler on west side story as she was under 18 while filming it.

GIVE YOUR TURKISH FCS TURKISH NAMES!!!

really its only asking the bare minimum of people. i am not turkish personally, but when turkish people say that your non-turkish names are offensive to them, then you should listen to them. thats it–end of discussion. you do not need to argue on why your character needs their non-turkish name. your character can still have an interesting storyline and be an interesting and complex character, even with a turkish name!! amazing i know.  I have heard from more than one turkish person that even turkish people born/raised in other countries still typically have a turkish name!! If you cannot make your character work with a name that is respectful of their fc’s culture– then you should maybe choose a different fc and take a few moments to consider why you can’t make that simple change. 

Its a required rule for using my gifs (as well as a majority of other gifmakers who have giffed turkish fc’s). if i find that you’re not following my rules i will block you and kick you out of my server. consider this a warning because im going to be cracking down on this a lot more as i know its very upsetting to my turkish friends.
