Okay so this is going to be my overall thoughts on Clone High season 2!
A lot of people have and will continue to complain about how it’s not as good or as funny as season one and that’s both fair and unfair. As a fanfic writer I know how hard it can be to continue writing a story after not working on it for a long time especially after working on new projects. And the same can be said for the show runners here, a lot has changed since they first produced season one. This was something that if it wasn’t for COVID it might have never been revived, so I can forgive them for it not feeling exactly the same as before after all it was twenty years ago. Jokes that worked then wouldn’t work now, I get and respect that. With that being said it could have been better.
For one besides Abe in the first episode no one seems to struggle with adjusting to 2023! That kinda of doesn’t make sense, I get not wanting to bring it up all the time but side jokes and cutaways could have worked. I also found it weird that we barely see any foster parents this season, you’re telling me that the Clones from 2003 parents weren’t freaking out when they suddenly came home after being gone for twenty years! I mean it’s not like the foster parents were important to the story but they could have shown some kind of reaction to them just showing up again?!
Like wouldn’t it have been funny if the foster parents were like super protective of their kids when they came back to the point of putting tracking devices on their phones or something?! I don’t know maybe not that but something! Also is John Stamos alive or dead after what happened? It’s also never addressed!
I do like the inclusion of all the new characters though, they do really add some new elements to the show and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. But again I expected this going into this season. Another thing that has changed is that besides Harriet no one seems to be trying to live up to or are pressured by expectations of their Clone parents. This was a running theme in season one for all the characters and yet this theme is just given to one person now? Sometimes the other clones might mention something but it’s very rare.
Now to get into the relationship that took up most of the season Joanfk, as a huge fan of the ship I was both excited and dreading to see how this relationship would develop. And that’s mostly because of the new intro, I personally don’t think the creators were ever going to make them a couple in 2003, they clearly seem to favor Abe/Joan which makes sense because during that time period the Friends to Lovers trope ruled most shows. I feel like Joanfk was done because they knew that a lot of the new fans wanted to see it, after all Joanfk shippers are one of the main reasons this show was not only revived but people kept talking about it until season two came out. I’m not gonna say that it’s not possible that they could get back together because Clone High is satire a parody of all the teen drama shows and movies it’s very possible that they could get back together again at some point. And honestly I hate the reason they gave for breaking them up being that JFK wasn’t smart enough both intellectually and emotionally for Joan to stay with him when throughout this season alone we can see that this isn’t even really true. I appreciate that they did this and even gave them a semi respectable breakup but (and I could be wrong) BUT clearly they’re not that into Joanfk. And yet still the biggest obstacle to Joanfk starts and ends with Joan not being sure how she feels about Abe (or even JFK sometimes) and not doing anything to resolve it.
Abe and Joan if the show had continued it’s run in 2003 this couple would have probably been end game, it’s the classic Friends to Lovers trope that the 90’s and early 2000’s loved. After all the show Friends basically coasted on this one trope as well as Saved by the Bell etc…Personally I think the Friends to Lovers trope can work if it’s done well Kim Possible is an example that I can think of that does this well and though some might not like Kim and Ron being endgame I think its actually done well and believable. And then there’s the times when I don’t think it’s done well (again this is just my opinion!) like with Danny Phantom. Don’t get me wrong Danny and Sam started off as cute and I did root for them…in season one after that the writers basically just dragged this trope out till the very end. And it didn’t help that (in my opinion) Valerie and Danny’s relationship was a lot more interesting. I mentioned this because Abe and Joan’s possible relationship seems to be something the writers want to drag out and this is bad because you could very easily lose your audience because of that. I get that dragging it out is part of the humor and satire but in a time where a lot of shows can easily be canceled (especially with the writers strike still going on) it’s not the best way to go. I will never like Abe and Joan being together as much as Joanfk (I really do think it’s the better relationship between the two of them despite what was said in episode seven) but I can at least get used to it and be happy for them if it’s not dragged out. Or they can make the three of them polyamorous I’m fine with that too!
The other couples are fine for the most part Confucius and Harriet will have their issues I can already see it but I am willing to give it a chance. Again the last episode (spoilers if you haven’t seen it) it makes sense that Harriet acted the way she did because again of all of the clones right now she seems to be the only one who feels any pressure about living up to her clone mother. And Confucius well he has rich foster parents even if he doesn’t qualify to get into a college he’ll be admitted it makes sense that he’s not worried about it or thinking about it.
Frida and Cleo are perfect, I only wish there had been more hints of them throughout the season but in like two episodes the pace and execution of this relationship was done perfectly and believable. It’s one of the few couples that’s just cute and has nothing else messing with it. Was it fair that Frida let go of Joan to save Cleo, not really but it made sense that she would save her girlfriend, over her girl friend.
Okay now to talk about the characters one on one.
JFK continues to improve and grow despite this being a satire teen drama show, he makes male friends, is in a committed relationship with one person where he Doesn’t cheat or even thinks about anyone else all the time. (Only one episode sorta counts) It’s hard but he accepts Joan’s decision to break things off with him even though he really does love her to the point of wanting what is best for her even if it’s not him. He even becomes friends with Abe and encourages him to pursue someone he still very clearly loves. I wouldn’t be surprised if we find out he was faking it in episode seven just to give Joan an excuse to leave because he was afraid he wasn’t enough to make her happy.
Cleo didn’t get enough screen time for someone who is a main character, and besides her relationship with Frida and squashing her beef with Joan. And the fact that most of the beef was between them fighting over Abe is strangely never brought up. She’s not given much to do throughout this season besides being Homecoming Queen. An episode where she has to navigate the world of social media like Instagram would have been interesting to see. Maybe in season three?
Frida is one of the new main characters and I think she fits well with the show so far. Again love her relationship with Cleo, but besides that I think she’ll be like voice of reason character going forward. Not much to say besides that because well this is her first season on the show!
Harriet another new main character and again seems to be the one dealing with the pressures of being a clone the most. Wanting to be great because her Clone mother was Harriet Tubman makes a lot of sense and I think it touches on a lot of people’s fears of not doing anything important with their lives. I looked forward to seeing how she grows.
Confucius another new main character who is just trying to gain the attention of his foster parents. It’s very clear that attention is what he wants out of anything. You can see it whenever they show him on FlipFlop, and again the fact that he’s not worried about college makes sense whether he doesn’t want to go or knows that his parents will pay for him eventually. I look forward to seeing how he develops.
Topher the last new main character, there is a lot that someone can say about him, I’m pretty sure he’s now the favorite character whether it’s because you love or hate him. Honestly I like that they have a character that’s awful, do I think he’s closeted…maybe but I do believe that one of the reasons he was “white leveraging” Abe is to keep Abe’s attention to himself. I don’t think he had any friends before Abe was thawed out and he probably wouldn’t be able to hang around the group if it wasn’t for him. So it makes sense that he would “white leverage” him from telling Joan how he felt because then Topher would no longer have an audience because Abe would likely spend all his time with Joan.
Abe learns a bit throughout the season but I don’t think he grows much until nearly the end. He spends most of season pinning over Joan and…that’s it he doesn’t become friends with JFK until the last episode and as far a we know the reason why he even realized that he loved Joan was because Cleo had made her look hot in season one. It’s never addressed why he suddenly loves her, and yeah that’s it. Sure he’s “punished for his behavior” in the first episode and it almost makes it seem that Joan and Abe won’t be friends this season but that is quickly forgotten by the end of the episode. Again I do think the Joan/Abe relationship will happen or at least be addressed between them but it’s likely that it will be dragged for a while. I will admit that the moments where they’re together just being friends is nice though.
Joan changes the most throughout this season whether you liked the changes or not. It starts with her dating JFK which while I enjoyed seeing, it was never addressed on why she accepted his offer in the first place. Sure they slept together at prom but there wasn’t enough done to explain within the show why she agreed to date him. (Honestly it’s like the show runners were like, the Joanfk fanfic writers did that for us we don’t have to explain ourselves!) Then she becomes friends with Frida and Harriet which I thought was nicely done, then she and Cleo come to an understanding! But her feelings for Abe linger throughout the season and something that I noticed after episode ten is that Joan is codependent, if she believes that she doesn’t have a boyfriend or friends to support her then she turns into a monster. Season three will either address what she did in the first episode or throughout the season either way she’ll be punished for it. Even if she did realize at the last minute that what she was doing was wrong.
The rest of the cast was fine Mr. B’s backstory was compelling, I don’t know why the writers felt that Scudworth needed a love interest but…it happened? Candide is interesting enough we’ll see how it goes. Sorry not saying more but this is pretty long already.

Wait what Inside Job has been cancelled 😡! Damnit! They could have at least given them two parts for season two so they could try to wrap things up!
Honestly not too surprised so many good shows are being canceled right not from so many platforms it’s not even funny! 😥😓🤬
As much as I hope that it can be picked up somewhere else this also worries me. Sure Adult Swim picked up Tuca and Bertie but it also canceled it before it can finish it’s story. I would hate to see that happens to Inside Job too. And honestly with the rumors of the writers strike going on it could be years before we could see Inside Job anywhere again.😔
This is not to see to give up hope or sign petitions please do sign petitions if you can! But also keep the fandom alive people!!!!
Keep coming up with headcanons!
Keep writing fanfics!
Keep drawing fan art!
Just doesn’t abandon this fandom!
To my fellow Breagan shippers keep shipping Breagan!

Alright now let’s get on to P2: E2 of my episode by episode analysis of part two of Inside Job. Again for those who haven’t watched part two yet spoilers.
P2:E2?Whoas-Feratu
First point it is rude that Reagan and Ron’s affair has to affect the rest of the group that is trying to work through their own issues. Yes I understand from a story standpoint the two are from rival companies and can’t get caught but they’re not even quietly making out! And I pointed this out during my first overall analysis of part two but Mothman is right Reagan’s “coping mechanism” can easily become an addiction if she is not careful. To Reagan’s she (and Ron) consider what they are doing as a healthy distraction.🚩🚩🚩 She at least admits that it is a distraction. But the reality of distractions are that they can only work for so long. And once it’s stops working you’re left feeling like you have a lot of things to do in a short amount of time. And some people can get very resentful of their ‘distractions. That is not to say that there will ever be a wrong time for Reagan to try to work on her issues. But it is sad to see her wasting resources that she could be using now. And it’s actually also not fair to Ron who is now probably compromising any progress he had made before hooking up with Reagan (remember that he was going long enough that he had to apologize for bringing a gun to group therapy…again) It is though in character for what we know about Reagan so far so I can’t be completely mad at it.
Next point you have to admit that Rand is making an effort to win Tamiko back. I’m sure that it is very shallow but he is making the effort and I have to point it out even if I still don’t like him. There is still though so much mystery to his marriage that don’t feel ever gets cleared up by the end of part two. But from what we’ve seen his previous marriage wasn’t good. And she admits to having a therapist which means she does go to therapy and part of the reason for that could be because of her previous marriage. So why would he think Tamiko would take him back even if you don’t factor in Keanu Reeves.
Next point Keanu Reeves! Was great he was just so fun I love how they played into the whole why don’t certain celebrities seem to age thing. Also lotus just grow from his pockets what? 🤣He was just fun all around and seemed to really enjoy himself!
From what we do know about Rand and Tamiko’s marriage it does make sense that Reagan wouldn’t have been very supportive of any of her mother’s relationships and for her to be worried about her mother getting hurt. We don’t get to see much about how Tamiko’s marriage to Rand has affected her but I’m guessing that must have happened to make her so resentful and always trying to find ways to get back at him. So Reagan being protective of the only parent she can slightly get along with makes sense. And I guess I can credit Reagan’s new relationship to Ron for allowing herself to be more supportive of her mother’s new relationship. And if Rand was my father I would totally be okay with Keanu Reeves replacing him too!
Okay Rand ordering Reagan to break up her mother’s new relationship is fucked up! Even though it plants the seeds needed to move the plot along the fact that he would make it her job to destroy her mother’s happiness is all kinds of wrong! But it’s good that she stands up to him against that.
The gang just knowing that Reagan is hooking up with someone is a nice touch and shows how close they are even if they don’t know who the person is.
Rand coming up with the idea to make a movie to when over Tamiko was funny though I am surprised that it never occurred to anyone to try to use Brett as a body double for Rand until Andre can work out the formula. But then we wouldn’t have the image of Rand’s man boobs and well the internet deserved that win. But again it doesn’t make sense that Brett would be responsible for tracking down Leo. And that was fun to watch.
Hmm comment about how they might all still be in the matrix that she created when she was eight makes me wonder if that’s going to be the big twist at the end of the series. I think it’s meant to be a joke but I am going to save that info just in case.
I have to point out that this episode is great it showing some of the positive aspects of Reagan’s relationship with her mother. While it was established in part one that her relationship with Tamiko was better then her relationship with Rand it still wasn’t portrayed as a very good one. And I do hope that in season two and beyond we get a chance to see their relationship more because while this was a nice episode for them. Doesn’t mean that Reagan’s relationship with her mother is healthy, it only looks like it is in comparison with her father. Regardless we know that Reagan has a good enough relationship with her mother because of this episode and that’s going to be something important to factor in when we get into the later episodes of part two.
The fact that even Reagan didn’t know that vampires were real and she works for the shadow government is kinda weird. It’s either that there is only a small amount of vampires or that the different companies that run the shadow government have different “company secrets” which means that there could be a group of people or species that Cognito knows about but the others don’t?
I do like seeing that there is a sense of closeness in Reagan and Gigi’s friendship. The fact that Gigi can tell that something is different and Gigi saying that she wants to give Reagan a makeover but later on let’s Reagan give her a makeunder. It’s nice to see that they have a decent relationship.
Brett reforming men with toxic masculinity is just everything! And just shows that Brett couldn’t be problematic even if he wanted to despite having quote “douche instinct” he just wants to be helpful and make new friends. Blaive Brettfordstein was an interesting choice for a fake name and clearly created so that he would look cooler. Brett you are cool and only change in positive ways.
Oh yeah Myc, Glenn and Andre are just helping Rand make a movie this whole episode. That’s all they do, Andre makes a youth serum that makes Rand into a younger buffer man but then backfires and turns him all the way into a literal man child. But Myc takes his role as a writer and director for this movie very seriously and it has funny moments. I mean the fact that he actually cares about continuity is going to be important later on. Also how long is the movie supposed to be if Rand wants thirty more sex scenes?
Okay Gigi knowing that Reagan and Ron are banging just because of a small look on Ron’s face shows that she is very observant and smart. And not a lot of credit is given to Gigi for how smart she actually is just because she’s not a super genius like Reagan. Also it makes sense that Gigi would be the character to not judge Reagan for having a relationship with someone from a rival company considering that we know that Gigi has tried to work for that company herself in the past.
Leonardo DiCaprio being the most bloodthirsty vampire is just the writers leaning head first into the memes. 🤣 And it works really well.
Again Reagan trying to find a way to break up her mother’s relationship with Keanu Reeves is nice when you consider that she really is trying not to seem unsupportive. Reagan pretending to be Keanu is funny too and when she gets caught you feel for her because she really is only trying to save her mother. The fights scenes between Keanu and Reagan were really cool. That being said I wasn’t surprised that Keanu Reeves actually really did love Tamiko. By all accounts according to what we know Tamiko must be at least late sixties early seventies . And I say this because in real life Keanu Reeves is fifty eight years old and Rand made such a big deal about him being younger. So Rand must be in his sixties or higher. I mean he went to college in the seventies and that was fifty years ago. And I’m pretty sure Tamiko is around the same age as him. Which would make her a bit too old to be used for her blood. Leo thinks that she might be forty but she’s not actually forty and Reagan is canonically thirty.
There were so many vampire puns!
So I guess this means that if we ever see those ageless male celebrities again on this show that means they are clones like Oprah. Also adult Rand in a diaper is something we all can never un see.
That being said the fact that Tamiko runs out on Keanu Reeves not because he’s a vampire but clearly because he’s older then she thought he was. And was going to give up staying young for Tamiko. For me confirmed my headcanon that Tamiko only tries to date younger men. My guess was between the ages of 18-25 but I guess that might be what she prefers but it’s not a deal breaker as long as you are younger. I also think it helped that Keanu was also a major celebrity. I am still upset with her for dropping Keanu Reeves like that but it’s probably because the show wouldn’t be able to add him on an even semi regular basis.
Well now that I’ve rewatched this episode I can finally start working on updating my Breagan story. If anyone is waiting for “Probably not a good idea but we were drunk?” Just know that I am trying and hopefully it will be updated within the next two weeks!

I feel like you're the only one who understands Ron being introduced in the wrong way and the therapy issue so I wanted to throw in an opinion here. It was so fucking disappointing when the team made a whole ass celebration for Reagan and two seconds later it's back on her and Ron. It was so annoying
Yeah there will be so much more to unpack once I get to that episode.

Alright time to start my episode by episode analysis of part 2 of Inside Job. By now I’m sure that most people have seen the second half of season one. But if you still haven’t (for some reason) spoilers ahead.
First up P2 E1: How Reagan got her Groove Back
I do like how it starts (mostly because it confirms my own theory) but it does feel in character that Reagan would have gone on a drunken bender. Love or hate Rand Ridley he does establish early on what he wants out of running Cognito Inc (His ex-wife and daughter) it makes sense that he would not care about what the robes want from him and only work towards his own agenda. If we go by what Brett says in the beginning of the episode then three full months have passed since the end of part one. That means that for three FULL months Reagan has been on a drunken bender and not working at Cognito!
So then why is anyone surprised that the team doesn’t back her up when she goes on a rant about her takeover plan from her father?! By all accounts Reagan left her team to deal with Rand alone and in those three months the gang is able to see that while a lot of things around the office is messed up and while they do not like Rand nothing has changed for them in terms of their jobs! Not to mention that Reagan probably created that plan when she was drunk and was still drunk when she brought it up to them!
But most people aren’t really mad at the gang as a whole. No the take that I’ve seen even some of my Breagan shippers take is that BRETT was wrong for not backing Reagan up in that situation. That it ruined his character?! What?! How does it ruin his character when he had to watch his BEST FRIEND go on a dangerous drunken bender for THREE MONTHS and has to be the one to pick her up from god knows where she ended up during that time! Because you know that it was Brett looking for her every night! Did everyone also just forgot that Brett goes to therapy?! That maybe after Brett spent three months witnessing Reagan’s behavior he would have come to the conclusion that what she needed was therapy and not to take over Cognito right now! That moment was a peak Breagan friendship moment! Brett put aside his need to please his best friend’s supposed wants and wishes and instead prioritized what Reagan needed which was therapy! And yet people have the nerve to say that BRETT was wrong for not having Reagan’s back EXCUSE ME?! How is it not having your back when you basically say hey I’m really worried about you and I think you need time to sort things out!
But I get it Reagan looked betrayed so therefore Brett must have betrayed her right? NO Brett cares about Reagan enough so that he can prioritize her safety and wellbeing over her personal wants and wishes. And if that is not solid character development right out the gate for Brett? If that is not a solid Breagan friendship moment let alone a potential shipping moment?! Then I need to hop off this ship and delete all my Breagan fics because people we are not on the same page! All I’m saying is that there are THREE full months of context that we the audience didn’t see…but Brett did!!!!😤
Okay so now that that rant is over I do like that Reagan listen to Brett and went to Anonymous Anonymous. It shows that despite being upset with him on some level she can see that she needs help. And I do think group therapy would have really helped if she stuck with it. But instead she gets distracted.
Alright ReaganxRon shippers please do not take this part of my analysis as a personal attack on your ship. You have every right to ship Reagan and Ron if you choose to do so, and I can concede that this ship is cute and that some of my opinions on this ship could be influenced by me being a Breagan shipper. But this ship rises red flag after red flag and I’m going to talk about it.
First off any progress that Reagan could have potentially made by going to therapy is ruined by Ron. Because what right does Ron have to basically say that Reagan shouldn’t be there complaining about what happened to her because she quote ‘has to wait a little bit longer for her dream job.’ I’m sorry but the F🤬. So right off the bat Ron insults her and her reason for being in therapy. And when Reagan rightfully fights back he basically says that having your memories deleted isn’t as hard as being the person who has to delete the memories?! Again the F🤬, I’m not saying that Ron’s job doesn’t take a toll on him because it did! But still, next Ron insults her intelligence which pushes her to go after her father again. This is just the first interaction though and I will get to the other red flags in this episode later on.
Okay so Rand using Reagan’s nano bots to win the competition is interesting because that would have to mean that Rand really trusts Reagan’s invention’s despite also still insulting them and her. AB pointing out that Reagan is doing a villain monologue but also showing up because he just wants to chat foreshadows a lot of changes that will take place for him in part two. The Bohemian Groove scenes are also really fun to watch plus we finally got to see the Atlanteans! Plus the entrances of every organization pretty much sums them up easily.
I love how supportive Andre and Brett are to Gigi, honestly if Breagan turns out to not be the slow burn ship of the show I wouldn’t be surprised if Andre and Gigi are. Seriously the interaction between these three are wholesome and it does show how far the gang is willing to go for each other. Oh and Myc and Glenn were at Bohemian Grove too and must have done something too I guess.
Okay now it’s time to talk about Reagan and Ron’s second interaction. So question everyone does anyone know what Ron’s motivations are for sabotaging his own company? Oh that’s right he doesn’t want to talk about it! Alright even I a Breagan shipper can admit that Reagan and Ron have some good moments I can even understand why they hooked up but I stand by my statement when I say they were never going to last. Ron admits in this episode that he was caught trying to drink an entire vat of mind-erasing liquid and that’s why he was sent to group therapy! 🚩🚩🚩Is anyone out there starting to make the connections? Because I was able to make that connection at 3:00am with only about two hours of sleep!
One of the things that I think we need to start considering is that just because two people are compatible doesn’t mean that their goals are. And this can affect their relationship, in Reagan’s and Ron’s case their romantic relationship. Yes Reagan wants revenge on her father, Ron is right about that but Reagan hasn’t given up on the world just yet. Ron has given up on the world and that’s going to be important seven episodes later. This relationship is basically a distraction for both of them until they can fulfill the plans they want to fulfill. And while I do think it is good that Reagan decided to stop trying to fight her dad and put her happiness first. I do think this also means that in that moment she decides to stop trying to come to grips with her what happened to her which is dangerous. Think about it after this episode it’s not mentioned again even though there are still a lot of things that Reagan still needs to unpack and work on .Yes moving forward is important but how you go about it is important as well. Also the two of them not noticing that the wooden owl that they are hiding in was on fire because they were too busy hooking up?😔🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
But their hook up causing Rand and his rival is funny as hell though! Oh yeah Glenn and Myc become clowns…for two minutes! And JR is still alive.

Hi, I just finished IJ Part 2 and I loved your recent post about it! Do you think there’s a chance that Reagan will ever see Ron again? Would Ron forgive her if he learned what happened?
I suppose it is possible that Reagan and Ron could met again. After all all anything and everything does happen in this series! I don’t know if Ron would forgive her after all it’s a pretty big betrayal and like I said in my post I don’t think they were ever meant to last. From the moment he appeared it was clear that he was ready to leave the shadow government life behind meeting Reagan only delayed his plans to get out he said so himself. And sure Reagan complained about her job but the thought of leaving never crossed her mind until he brought it up.

Yeah that’s pretty much it. Maybe if Reagan was done with Cognito completely she would have left and never looked back but she wasn’t done with it. Personally my red flag moment came when the hooked up in the first episode and didn’t realize right away that the place they were hiding in was burning around them. I saw that and was like oh shit Reagan could have died right there and then because she was so busy hooking up that she didn’t see when the fire started! Also as since I have a BA in psychology and am working on my Master’s for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I can say that yes the psychoanalyzing is the right word to use here!
Okay everyone I woke up randomly at 3AM and instead of going back to sleep decided to binge watched Part Two of Inside Job which spoiler alert only has eight episodes this time?!!! What the fuck?!!!! Any way these are some of my takeaways from this season. I will be doing an episode by episode analysis later but for now theses are my initial thoughts!
Spoiler Warning!!!!!!!!Seriously do not read if you don’t want the season to be spoiled!!!!
First let’s get the biggest part of the season out of the way the Reagan and Ron relationship(romantic relationship) And I know I might end up pissing off some shippers, who might have ended up liking them together. But they were doomed from the start and this was hinted at from the start of their relationship. I will go into more detail when I do the episode by episode analysis but if you look at it objectively it’s true. Now let me admit to you now that I am a Breagan shipper(and yes I will be talking about the few good moments we got this season) but the running theme for most of Reagan and Ron’s relationship was one them both wanting different things when it came to their careers and two stuff going wrong whenever an issue about their relationship came up. Ron made it clear from the beginning that he wanted out of working for the shadow government. He was tired and guilty and only stuck around longer because he fell in love with Reagan. He doesn’t want to stay and change things for the better because deep down he doesn’t think it is possible. Reagan in the meantime resents her job but deep down isn’t ready to give it up completely. She believes that she can change things for the better and wants to be in charge of making those changes happen. And even though she would be much better off walking away and forgetting her job and just being with Ron. She knows that she’ll never be able to completely stop because that’s who she is. And this is why their relationship would probably have never worked out. They were not on the same page from the very beginning. I do believe that overall this was a good relationship for Reagan to have in the long run but it was never healthy even Mothman pointed it out!
Now for the next important part of the season Rand’s progression and eventual downfall. While we can all agree that Rand is an asshole. This season goes out of its way to tell you that the reason for Rand’s behavior is because he wants what he believes to be his old happy life. To the point of rebooting reality just to get to a universe where both his ex-wife and daughter still love him. The downside is of course that nothing he does brings him what he wants it’s brings the gang to some of the things they think they want but they end up being wrong. And betraying the shadow government makes him end up in jail. This was a great example of how trying to make thing’s perfect for yourself could actually make everything else a lot worse. As for JR I would feel sorry for him if he hadn’t been willing to blow up the universe because he didn’t get an alternative perfect life. I do get why he is the way he is though!
Next we have the Reagan and Gigi friendship. No notes I loved it even though they try to explain away the change by pointing out that Reagan has no female friends. I thought it was sweet that Gigi was there for Reagan, giving her advice and helping out when needed. I hope their friendship continues.
Next Glenn, Myc and Andre, I’m grouping them all together because yes they have some good new developments here and there but they don’t really change overall. We just understand Myc slightly better after his High School reunion.
And now for all the Breagan shippers out there! I was worried going in that with Ron as Reagan’s love interest that there wouldn’t be any good Breagan shipping moments but god was I glad to be wrong! From Brett trying to get Reagan to go to therapy for her own good to Reagan being there to help Brett at least stand up a little to his family. To Reagan also deciding to keep her best friend out of danger and to Brett encouraging her to leave even though he would miss her was just pure shipping gold. (Again I will go into more detail in the episode by episode analysis) If the writers goal was to get me to ship them more then they succeeded! Because Reagan and Brett continue to have the most solid relationship of anyone in the show!
Final thoughts, while I know a lot of people were turned off by Ron I do think he was needed for Reagan’s journey(which wow kind of sounds missed up that way) I do like that he was a red herring, where I’m sure we all thought he was secretly a villain (or Reagan’s secret brother) we were all expecting him to turn on Reagan but he never did and that is nice. While I’m not sure if he would ever come back I think his ending made sense for what we learned about him. And despite being heartbroken right now I hope that Reagan will still eventually try to move on with someone else(cough Brett cough cough) I would hate to see her not trying to have a New Romantic relationship because she thinks Ron is the only person who could ever love her.
PS
Tamiko did you really just break up with Keanu Reeves because he was older than you thought!!!😤 That is so stupid but in canon with the idea that I had that Tamiko only dates younger men.
PSS
If anyone is wondering when I’ll update my story ‘Probably not a good idea but we were drunk’ I just want to say that I was waiting for the new season! So that I could add elements of it to my fanfic. Plus I have a ton of other fanfics, plus I started working on my Master’s degree this month….plus I have a YouTube and a TikTok account for tarot readings! The point is I am only 32 and am doing a lot! I will update soon….or at least before the end of this year I just got to rewatch this series again!

Okay new theory idea for the next season of Inside Job that I don’t think anyone has considered. What is Ron is actually from the future and is NOT Reagan’s love interest or brother but her son! 😮🤯!
Boom your mind is blown! Your mind is blown! 🤯🤯🤯
Also since I am a breagan shipper I would headcannon the idea that Brett is Ron’s father and the reason why his name is Ron is because you know the whole ‘Ronald Reagan’ thing but his last name isn’t actually Stadler this is actually his middle name that Brett came up with because….I don’t know maybe something silly like because Brett’s fav character on Saved by the Bell was A.C. Slater!🤣 Of course this would mean that Brett accidentally spelled it wrong with Stadler instead of Slater!
I don’t know what are your theories!
P.S. the reason why Ron looks some much like Reagan and not really Brett is because Rand messed with his genetics because of course he would!

This is awful, it is really clear to see that fanfiction has gone from being a almost underground thing to mainstream so that someone else can profit off of it more easily! Is there some content that’s bad yes I can agree to that but to remove stories being written where for some communities this might be the only decent representation they have is wrong. Fandom culture is already hard on itself enough without someone coming in wanting to censor things because it makes them personally feel uncomfortable. And as a person who publishes their stories on both fanfic.net and Ao3 this is appalling. Now I could literally login one day and see all my stories off the site because it offends someone who could have just as easily otherwise ignored it! Some might say that we could just move somewhere else but clearly this has happened before and moving to another website making it popular only to be told years later that we need to appeal more for (insert country here) is not going to solve the issue! So if you can vote please vote! And if you can’t please re-blog so that the message spreads and hopefully find the people who can vote against this.
There is a candidate named Tiffany G. in the current Ao3 board elections with a pro-censorship position for getting Ao3 unbanned in China. This is ship and kink agnostic: the only way to get Ao3 unbanned in China would be the removal of all explicit queer content to bring it in line with the online censorship policies of the CCP Pre-ban, Chinese writers used Ao3 to host LGBTQ+ and explicit content due to being censored on Chinese websites, and writers of danmei (m/m) stories have been sent to prison in China for publishing queer content.
There are 3 seats, and 5 candidates (including her) so she has an actual chance to get elected. If you’ve contributed $10 in the past year and have eligibility to vote in this election, it is essential that you do so. Please check your e-mail for the ballot and vote for everyone except Tiffany in whichever order you prefer based on their stances.
Important context including how essential it is to vote this time if you want to support Ao3s current policies
Chinese fandoms on Weibo are up in arms against this candidate warning about her intention to bring Ao3 in line with the Chinese censored fanfic sites
Chat transcript of her election interview, including discussion of making Ao3 more publicly appealing, complaints about how it was banned in China, and the suggestion of removing ‘illegal’ content besides underage - which, in China, includes queer and explicit content - and avoidance of clear answers about which content would be censored

As someone who wrote a story about Reagan getting drunk (see https://archiveofourown.org/works/35736589/chapters/89110501) after Rand takes over this trailer makes me feel validated and seen!
Now if only Clone High would announce the next season! 😞 Well at least I’m writing a story to pass the time until it does as well (see https://archiveofourown.org/works/39451647/chapters/98738070)
Tumblr media
P.S. I’m hoping coming soon means end of June or early July!!!👍

New story
I don’t know I just kept wondering what would happen if in the Clone High world Joan was a fire bender and the angst pretty much wrote itself? I’m just so tired of waiting for season 2!
