Do felix and lovie ever shower together?

i want to say yes bc this concept is so good but idk if i can see this happening too casually, just bc there's only so much that can be justified,, but i can see a little group vacation scenario where lovie and felix are sharing a hotel room (he would so arrange this every time knowing damn well he can afford to rent out the entire hotel 😭)

maybe they're running late after a pool/beach day and so they decide to just take a quick shower while still in their swimsuits for efficiency ofc (even though anything they do together takes forever bc they get all distracted and giggly) and at first it's fun and felix is making fun of lovie's vacation shower routine and then it very much stops being funny

i think the intimacy would hit them harddd and then they'd both feel awkward about it and maybe be a little stiffer around each other than usual at dinner and farleigh's like hm you guys are being awkward...and you were almost an hour late...and both of you have damp hair 🧐 now what could that mean

and every girl on that trip that came for felix is sending lovie the dirtiest looks meanwhile the most salacious part of it to them was lovie washing his hair

i don't know where this would fit timeline wise (maybe spring break,, or a long weekend, i don't think oxford works like that but we can pretend) but i really like this so if anyone would like a drabble, as soon as i'm more caught up on finals i'll write it :)

What would you say is best friend reader’s signature scent? The perfumes she’d commonly buy and soap brand she bathes with

anon i am absolutely obsessed with this question and you for asking it, it's so creative and i think perfume/soap choices say sm about a person

i see best friend reader as leaning into the warmer "spunkier" side of classics, so ig what i'm saying is she's a little avant-garde in the way she presents herself/wants to come across

i got a little excited breaking down my reasoning and describing scents,, so i'm putting the straight forward answer here and my logic below the cut:

perfume: juicy couture eau de parfum and/or dior j'adore

body wash: bath and body works' warm vanilla sugar and/or country apple and mango mandarin

in perfumes/scents i think the vibe i described above translates into a vanilla base and floral notes but in a fun way and while i don't see best friend reader following every trend, she's still very much an embracer of early-to-mid 2000's culture

combining all of that, i think her signature scent could be the juicy couture eau de parfum!! this perfume is rooted in a vanilla and woods base with notes of fruity white floral (specifically green apple and mandarin) (fun fact, i have its sister scent "viva la juicy" and love it,, but the stronger floral/fruity notes of the og make it feel more best friend reader)

i can also see best friend reader regularly using dior j'adore, it's more fruity and floral than vanilla but still very that girl and classic while still being fun

i couldn't find too much online about early 2000's soaps/body washes so i'm not sure how accurate this will be but i can see best friend reader being into bath and bodyworks,, specifically warm vanilla sugar body wash, and maybe country apple or mango mandarin body wash/lotion during the summer when she's feeling a little more nature-based

How did best friend reader’s family acquire their wealth? Is she an aristocrat and old money like Felix? Is she the type to have a title or something like that? Lol

omg best friend reader lore, best friend reader lore, best friend reader lore

i've never seen best friend reader as being wealthy in the way that felix is tbh!! i see her as kind of new, american money,, there's a whole backstory/lore for best friend reader that i've only revealed snippets of lol

i have talked about her parents being not together and i see her dad as having some family money and being part of a small 'political dynasty' family

i'm using that term pretty loosely, nowhere near as big or powerful as the kennedy's but it's kind of expected that the boys on her dad's side work in finance until they start their political careers

they've got some clout and they're definitely rich,, but it's not the kind of wealth that matches felix's family lol, but it's more than enough for reader to be comfortable

reader's mom is a lower tear of generational wealth, prep school born and bred but the struggling third generation, when the wealth starts to dwindle which is part of the reason the divorce was so dramatic

but bc her parents are divorced and her mom's family is that third generation that has ties to the ultra wealthy, it's more like she grew up around that kind money than with that kind of money

sorry if that's confusing,, i see best friend reader's life so clearly it's actually become a little niche 😭

I feel like best friend reader’s bedroom would have a mix of traditionalism given how old her ancestral home is but tries to add her own modern tastes to it

i LOVE this sm, they fit so well with best friend!reader’s vibe and i def see her as the type whose determined to leave a very personal touch on her space

i think her home’s very eclectic in a fun way, i haven’t written best friend! reader’s mom in yet but i see her as a free spirit that tried to make their home fun and kind of ‘whimsical’, and growing up around that has made reader a little modern eclectic,, like a vivienne westwood vibe i think
