That scene where Levi sees a vision of the Survey Corps standing in front of him... The fact that Hange's the only one with a wistful gaze kills me....
Normally, in previous appearances of the deceased their faces are either expressionless or they show a small smile. But why does Hange look so sad????
She makes the same bittersweet expression when she sees the plane in the sky... which makes me think that she somehow wished to stay with Levi and the others...
Also, what happened exactly?
1) It truly is the Survey Corps appearing to him like an actual real supernatural Apparition. And that's really Hange showing her emotions(I guess it's confirmed that the afterlife is real).
2) It's just Levi's imagination or memory, an image he has of Hange. But I wouldn't say so, because in previous flashbacks he remembers Hange with a big smile. Buut if imagination is the case, then why does Hange seem her usual self at first, even looks triumphant, but then her face changes as she gazes at Levi before disappearing? Like why does he imagine her like that?
Maybe I'm reading too much into details? Anyway this scene is truly bittersweet.

I was thinking about aot and each character's views about life, suffering, human nature, its meaning....
Zeke has a nihilistic and apathetic idea about life and its meaning. He's like we're only biological entities that reproduce and fight for survival... and that's it...it's all meaningless... so let's just euthanize everyone
Eren is actually more complex... not sure how to describe it...more like pessimistic and hopeless than nihilistic maybe? Humans are to be free and freedom is what gives life a meaning. But at what cost? In order to be free he has to erradicate anything that creates suffering which leads him to fall into a cycle of hatred and violence. The future is doomed anyway...
Armin is rooted in wonder and hope. The beauty of the world that he dreams about and hopes for and the little things in life like friendship give meaning.
And Mikasa...Isn't it beautiful that LOVE was the final and most important ingredient that finally freed Ymir....... Mikasa's love was the antithesis of ymir's "love".... it was TRUE love what gives meaning to suffering and life. Life is cruel BUT ALSO beautiful. Her unconditional love for Eren is so strong, all she wants is to bring him back to the right path. A love that wants the salvation of the other...?

If you think you have a cool new question for Christianity which is going to tear this shit wide open and prove it's false I promise you some random person already fully addressed the issue six hundred years ago and came up with four arguments for your point and proceeded to debunk them.

Steins;gate is so good!!!
I know many people think that the first half is too slow and boring but I have to disagree. The dynamics between the characters are actually really fun and engaging (and of course very important) and the mystery part as well. It builds up the intrigue in a perfect pace to the second half.
Also can we please talk about the romance? One of most beautiful romances and its not even a shoujo/josei anime

the need to talk about the characters vs the fear that all of my analysis is just empty prose and surface level understanding

So about my essay about Hange Zoe, I wanted to delve into 3 points about her character.
- a "mad scientist" in both a literal and deeper sense - a model of temperance and prudence
- the word "understand" is crucial to her worldview and how it's reflected in her actions and relationships with other characters - a model of faith, hope and charity
- she represents the "wings of freedom", her role as a hero - a model of justice and fortitude

So tired of all the brain dead takes that Easter takes place when it does because it was originally a pagan celebration of spring.
When really, just maybe, (and hear me out on this one, guys), it literally takes place during the Jewish Passover because Jesus and his Apostles were celebrating it together the night that Jesus was taken to be crucified.

I keep thinking about an homily from Easter 2 years ago... the priest made a very interesting comparison to show the importance of the Resurrection.
Reincarnation: when we die we get reincarnated into a superior species or an inferior species depending on our own merits.
Vs.
Resurrection: when we die we go to heaven (or hell) by our own merits AND by God's merit
....which is a such an inmense gift. Because it means that even if we fall, suffer and make mistakes, there's always HOPE. He will be there to forgive us if we ask for forgiveness and He will carry our cross and give us His strength if we ask for it. Through the sacraments, through prayer... That's what hope and faith is and it's a gift... And we should aknowledge it, be thankful and reflect it in our lives...

Ok but this always happens in a loop... I get into social media to escape a little bit from reality but then getting too much into it ends up into having to read and listen to people saying dumb things and fighting with each other and it repulses me so bad to the point of like losing faith in humanity but then I go outside and touch some grass, meet friends and spend time with my family and people I care about and realize that most people are actually good and normal... at least my own social circle... thank God...

Little update
Trying to expand on Hange's relationship with Floch
And then when it comes to her fortitude I chose 3 key scenes: when she saved levi, the forest scene and her final sacrifice.... what do you think?
So, I finally started writing my essay on Hange. Almost 3 pages done and still going 😅
