It's #SparklingWineSunday which means time for bubbles. Going with Sosie's First Things (sample). Sosie Wines is located in California, but they focus on french varietals vinified in an old world style of low to no intervention. It's coming in hot with notes of fruit and brioche. Made from the Roussanne grape, this bubbly is rich and creamy. I thought I was going to be having fried chicken today, but had to move it to rotisserie chicken which is the perfect pairing for this wine. This is the first wine I've tried Sosie Wines and won't be the last. I'm loving it. If you dig bubbly, it's one you will want in your glass ( $30). Good morning coven! Coming to you from Soho Works. I felt like hanging around creatives today for a little inspiration. Plus I wanted to hit a little Mexican place near Union Square. A1 you know I travel for food. Here's a little channeled message. I recently saw a post from a women who said can't we stop glamorizing the grind and celebrate getting 7 hours of sleep, self care, fair pay, etc. While I agree with that, I also think there's nothing wrong with fist pumping for "the grind" . If you grind right all those things can be a part of it. The bigger question is what does the grind mean to you. If you are doing a routine 9-5 where it leaves you feeling "meh", that's not okay. If you are working 12-14 hour days, barely getting by, and feeling unfulfilled it may be time for a change. Basically your grind, hustle, or whatever you call it should have you feeling exhilarated AF. If nothing else, these COVID times have shown us to do things we love and to surround yourself with a good support system. There may be days when the feeling of despair comes over you. When you feel that way, remember the universe is talking to you. It's letting you know that it has another door for you to open. Behind that door is a path to lead you to unlimited possibilities. I went to a flower class last night at Ludlow House which has me in the feel for more flowers! About to have one of my favorite teas from Bellocq, No. 47, The Queen's Guard. The tea is a blend of organic black Ceylon tea, rose petals, organic lavender, organic cornflowers, and natural essence. I love how the rose petals hit my palate. Sipping this tea makes me feel like a countess in a castle. 🏰 If you are a tea fan, I highly recommend Belllocq. They are located in Brooklyn, but their tea is from producers around the world.
