I will always laugh at the video of Tom talking about when they mistook Sam for Timmy. I'm not talking about the blogs I read here but really his TT fans drag Tom as if he were inferior to Timmy using the movies as a criterion and as if Timmy was an extremely cultured being and I don't see it that way. shit talkers (or antis as you might call them) just can’t seem to understand that a healthy relationship is balanced in between spending a good amount of quality time with your significant other while still being able to be by yourself / go out with friends, like your life shouldn’t revolve around a person but you want to spend as much time with them as you can because they make you feel safe and loved.

also tom and z seem to be at a time in their relationship where they’re pretty ready to settle down and serious about one another (as we’ve seen them home hunting and what not in nyc) yet it isn’t a crime for tom or z to want to spend time with their friends, it’s actually a sign their relationship isn’t co dependent on one another. my sister has been married for 4 years now and her and my brother in law have a pretty healthy marriage where they do most stuff together and spend a lot of time together, yet they both still make time to spend with their respective friend groups. and they obviously spend time equally with his and her side of the family (just like tz)

It’s been literally been a week and people are concerning themselves on why he didn’t fly alllllll the to Budapest when he probably has a short break from filming and it’s easier to fly a few hours instead for relaxation since he’s literally been working for 6 months straight. Also, phones and Zoom exist.

Sorry just to correct zsf does sometimes post z’s personal wardrobe but it’s really more to talk about how z is kinda building an archive of valuable pieces and usually the personal items she posts are special pieces and everything you said about thsf and fashion is spot on like sure maybe savant is expensive and inaccessible for fans but it has much more fashion identity than Zara I always suspected they started that account out of bitterness at zsf and z since t wasn’t a fashion boy before

yes i hadn’t checked but i just saw zstylefiles on occasions posts fan pictures, but I see zstylefiles as a more professional insta account since they’re followed by huge fashion accounts now considering Z has become such a fashion darling over the last 3-4 years.

and as for your theory over thstylefiles apparent dislike towards Zendaya, I wouldn’t be surprised if resentment towards Z’s fashion game and Tom’s lack of, is a factor. if that’s the case i really don’t see the big deal when tom has said many times he feels comfortable the way he dresses even if its not a fashion statement, and thats what Law is there for to work around his likes and dislikes and still be able to make him feel good and comfortable during public events (for those accounts that i’ve seen criticize the way Law dresses Tom)

As a fashion girly i’ve always also side eyed THstylefiles, I mean I get the effort they put into their account but if they follow all of his costars and close friends but can’t follow his girlfriend he publicly claims like hello? They also used to follow Tom’s ex gf (which is white) and his white girl costars, but yeah go ahead and defend them ig.

As for Zstylefiles, they follow Tom on insta and they really don’t post that much about Z updates outside of fashion. Actually the only thing I could see her posting about from her private life and relationship is her wedding dress (if she’s allowed to by Law’s team I suppose.)

Interesting Zendayastylefiles has managed to cut Tom out of every picture too, but I don’t see that IG page getting scorn. The two pages are run quite similarly, but I guess z can stand alone while shippers need to see Z represented in Tom’s life?

Not the sand porn 😭 I really tried to get through Dune Part 1 without getting bored believe me I did but it was imposible. I feel like Dune becomes boring because it relies a lot on aesthetics and visuals (which I appreciate) but falls short in keeping you on the edge of your seat, at least not until the last half.

“Cinema Experience” aka I spent Warner Bros 200 mill making this movie so it must make a profit so I can make another 200 mill movie. lmao.

I don’t blame him tho cause it was really stupid what they did putting it on streaming so fast. Batman wouldnt have made 700 mill if they had released it on streaming first. But yeah, he doesn’t give two craps about cinema experience cause if the movie was a low budget and got a good offer for streaming with a theatrical window offered, he would’ve been fine with it.

Denis villeneuve didn’t bad mouth streaming per day but he did say it wasn’t for every movie highlighting Dune as a movie that was above streaming as he designed it for a cinema experience and was extremely unhappy with the decision to release it on streaming.

Denis is responding to a financial decision that AT&T/Warner Bros made in 2020 to throw all its chips in with HBO Max, and this after he was told he’d made a film for the theaters.

Here is what he says about streaming and about Dune as both an art object and financial investment—

Streaming services are a positive and powerful addition to the movie and TV ecosystems. But I want the audience to understand that streaming alone can’t sustain the film industry as we knew it before COVID. Streaming can produce great content, but not movies of “Dune’s” scope and scale. Warner Bros.’ decision means “Dune” won’t have the chance to perform financially in order to be viable and piracy will ultimately triumph. Warner Bros. might just have killed the “Dune” franchise. This one is for the fans. AT&T’s John Stankey said that the streaming horse left the barn. In truth, the horse left the barn for the slaughterhouse.

He is saying there won’t be more Dunes not because he’s going to take his ball and go home but because AT&T/Warner Bros decided to not give Dune the theatrical release it would have needed to make the money it needed to warrant a sequel.

There are many self-styled auteurs like Denis making arguments about the survival of the cinemas, which they believe is itself at stake.

Here’s his most elitist paragraph—

I strongly believe the future of cinema will be on the big screen, no matter what any Wall Street dilettante says. Since the dawn of time, humans have deeply needed communal storytelling experiences. Cinema on the big screen is more than a business, it is an art form that brings people together, celebrating humanity, enhancing our empathy for one another — it’s one of the very last artistic, in-person collective experiences we share as human beings.

Can most of those things happen via streaming, especially this bit about “celebrating humanity, enhancing our empathy”? Yes. That happens in books. The “collective experience” bit is something I personally think is overblown, especially because none of these guys are out here making impassioned pleas for live theater (one of my passions). But what I hear from Denis is please let’s value the cinema as art form in the face of huge economic pressure from streaming competitors. The emphasis is not on the notion that streaming is invalid but on the notion that the theaters are still valid.
